Then he died in a ripe old age, full of days, riches and honor; and his son Solomon reigned in his place. 1 Chronicles 29:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I measure your life by days. Each morning My mercies are new. Day builds on day to make years but it is what you do (or don’t do) each day that determines your years and the fruit of your life.
In the fifth chapter of Genesis, I give you a look at the generations of Adam down to Noah. When you look at each descendant of Adam, you will find that I calculate each life by days, “So all the days of Seth were 112 years and he died.”
What are you doing today? Each day there are opportunities for reward, don’t pass them by. Opportunities to encourage and to help others, to save souls, to worship and pray, to forgive, to not take offense, to share the good news of Jesus, and to really live in shalom. Or you can live so as to miss all the wonderful opportunities and turn your days into dark days of depression, offense, fear, selfishness, pride, tantrums, worry, frustration, and anger—fighting with wicked claw and pointing the finger in blame and shame.
You choose whether to be a terror and torment in your family and workplace or a ray of sunshine and hope in a dark and fallen world. Shine on the world like bright lights, you are offering it the Word of Life.
Be a blessing, not a curse. I bless you to be a blessing and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Make each day count as a special blessing. This day is the day that I have made, be glad and rejoice in it.
David died in a ripe old age, FULL OF DAYS, riches and honor, and his son Solomon reigned in his place. 1 Chronicles 29:28.
Days. It all begins for you on One Day and then each day builds on it until the days make years. But your life consists of days. Each day you are building on the one before. Which of you desires to see good days? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from lies, seek peace and pursue it always. Try to live at peace with all men. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger or it carries to the next day and as you build it will incorporate as material in your building blocks. Day upon day stacking up until it is full of days. Don’t make them days of anger that you are later ashamed of.
Do not consider yourself rejected, unloved, and a sinner. Consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to Me in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:11. Do not permit sin to reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts (do not permit yourself to have tantrums, hissy fits and yelling matches with others). Do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, I saved you from that and gave you My righteousness, so present yourselves to Me as those alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness to Me. For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. I empower you with My own life and nature. I have called you out of darkness into My own marvelous light as My child, friend and spouse. Your Father. Your God.
In the place called grace in which you now stand by faith, there is no room for disgrace. I shall be proud of you if, because you are Mine, you act in perfect peace. Keep your mind stayed on Me and you will never sin. Those who walk in the light never stumble. You walk in the light when you walk in love. If you remain in My Word and it remains in you then the Blood of My Son will continually cleanse you of all sin. Walk in the Light, stay in the Light. Let no one pull you out of the Light into darkness. If you take offense, if you answer in kind, they pull you out of My marvelous Light into darkness. And if your light is darkness, how deep will the darkness be! You must stand up and say “NO.”
Do not permit others at your work, in your family, on the street—pull you out of the light, instead pull them into the light with you. Even your enemies. Everyone I send to you is a sheep for you to shepherd back to Me. A gentle answer calms wrath. Do not quench the Spirit. Quench the fiery darts of the evil one. There are two kingdoms fighting here. Get everyone over into the winning side, bring them over the light line. Get them off the rubbish dump of their lives, but if you join them in tearing each other apart you too are picking up and eating rubbish.
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For, the one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good. He must seek peace and pursue it. For My eyes are toward the righteous, and My ears attend to their prayer, but My face is against those who do evil. 1 Peter 3:8-12.
Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and respect, fearing to fall into the nasty ways of those around you; keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. For it is better that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.
Christ died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring you home to Me, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit. Live the rest of your days no longer for the lusts of men, but for My good, perfect and pleasing will for your life. Do not pursue a course of the works of the flesh—sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries. For in such things walk those who are dwelling in the darkness, and they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you; but they will give account to Me.
Recognize the signs of the times from My Word. My Spirit tells you of the things to come. The end of all things is near; so do not live as if your life is only about the things of the flesh and the worldly things you acquire. Be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Never neglect to spend time with Me and it is good for you to pray in the Spirit to get direction.
Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaint. Do not be so quick to take offense and condemn others. Do not raise your voice in anger against another. As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of My manifold grace. Glorify Me through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever.
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you. If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory rests on you. Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, just stay filled with joy and the Holy Spirit and they cannot pull you out of the light. Entrust you soul to Me in doing what is right and I will never let you be tried beyond your strength but provide for you a way of escape and I will vindicate you.
But do not fear others or see them as threats to you. See them as the sheep I send you to rescue them out of darkness to light. Shepherd My flock among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when your Chief Shepherd Jesus appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for I am opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under My mighty hand, that I may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Me, because I care for you.
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, overlook offenses and forgive. Smile more. Laugh more. Enjoy people instead of quarreling with them, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your fellow believers who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. I who called you am faithful, and I will do it.
I love you. Rejoice. It will confound your enemies every time. Make your life one that looks at Me all the time and you will not be disappointed. I am here for you. Just remember to call upon My Name.
