You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16.
Be dressed in readiness and keep your lamps lit. Luke 12:35.
For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness. Psalm 18:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Stop hiding and start abiding. You have the Light of the world! Let your light shine and don’t put it under a bushel basket. You may feel unworthy but I have made you worthy. David sinned but was willing to go shine and teach others who had sinned My ways of forgiveness and love. He prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a upright spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will be converted to You.” Psalm 51:10-13.
Jesus is the Light of the world; no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the Light of life. I light your lamp and illumine the darkness around you, I have brought you out of your darkness into My own marvelous light. Live as children of the Light.
Your spirit is My lamp by which I search all your innermost parts. My Word is the laser type light that pierces as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and motives of the heart. Like the menorah, the gold lampstand that I gave the design to Moses in particular details, it was lit by the High Priest and all the wicks were kept turned towards the center lamp, the servant lamp, which was lit first and then lit all the others from the oil that flowed from it. Leviticus 24:1-4; Numbers 8:1-4. And on the gold lampstand, which was beaten work, there were six branches holding oil lamps, and one lamp on the center shaft that the branches joined to as one piece, seven oil lamps in all, that burned with the purest olive oil. Light and the anointing. It is your great High Priest Jesus who lights your lamp from His. He is the servant of all. And He is the Light of the world, standing at the entrance of the Holy of Holies to guide you into My throne of grace by His light in which you also walk. Exodus 25:37, Hebrews 4:14-16..
Bezalel, whom I had given the spirit of craftmanship, made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its shaft; its cups, its bulbs and its flowers were of one piece with it. There were six branches going out of its sides (the number of man, for I made you on the sixth day, so these lamps on the branches represent you); three branches of the lampstand from the one side of it and three branches of the lampstand from the other side of it; three cups shaped like almond blossoms (the “watching tree,” that I showed Jeremiah in a vision to let him know I watch over My Word to perform it, Jeremiah 1:12), a bulb and a flower in one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a bulb and a flower in the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand, and the seventh lamp (seven is completion and is shabbat or rest, and Jesus fulfills Shabbat, you rest and are sanctified in Him) was on the center shaft and was the servant lamp that lit the rest, but all the lamps on the branches had to be trimmed every morning and every evening so that their wicks, thus their light, was directed towards the center servant lamp. Exodus 37:17-24.
My Son came to light your lamps, your dead spirits are born again to newness of life when you put your faith in the Name of My Son. And no one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays. Luke 11:33-37.
My apostle John wrote a message to you that it would be well for you to heed, “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7.
You were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in Jesus; walk as children of Light, for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is pleasing to Me. Do not waste the short time you have in this period of your life upon the earth by participating in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, they will only bring destruction and heartache—things you are later ashamed of, for all you have done in darkness will be revealed in the great Light of the coming of Christ. If you cannot show the world what you have done, if you cannot bring it into the light, do not participate in it. Instead, even if you have done dark deeds, expose them and do not hide them from Me. I see to your innermost thoughts, darkness does not hide you from My loving eyes. I will search it out and bring it into the light, like I did to David when he hid his sin, for all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. And when you bring it in the light, I can cleanse it away. 1 John 1:7. Confess your sins and let Me cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Do not refuse My gift of forgiveness and righteousness by keeping in the darkness of your sins.
Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you Light, His Light, and My Face will shine on you in glory in the face of Christ, and as you behold His light, you will go from glory to glory.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. Do not allow Satan or any man or woman to drag you back into the darkness with them through lust, sin, loyalty, or flattering persuasion. Adam let Eve drag him into the darkness, but then he resented her for doing it and blamed her and Me. Jonathan chose his family tie to his father Saul and lived in his darkness rather than going over to David to walk in My light, and it brought him to an early death even though Jonathan himself was a good man but his loyalty to his father pulled him into darkness from which he did not break loose. Do not be foolish but understand what My Will is.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation and must be done in darkness, hidden in dark places, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself and to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to Me and My Son; always giving thanks for all things in the Name of your Lord Jesus Christ, which keeps you in the light and keeps you alert in prayer, and through Him to Me, the Father of Lights (you are all My lights in the world), in whom there is no darkness or shadow of turning.
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of Light above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as bright lights in the world, holding forth the Word of life. Philippians 2:14-16.
Arise, shine; for your Light has come, and My glory has risen upon you, the Sun of righteousness with His healing rays. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples, for you see it now with all the fear, pornography, child abuse, destruction, lies, evil run wild; but I will rise upon you and My glory will appear upon you. For within you is a mystery fulfilled, Christ in you, your hope of glory. Within your spirit is the Light of the world. Do not cover it over with a bushel basket, with a clay vessel as Gideon did until he broke it and let out the light. Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 60:1-3. A people walking in darkness, will see a great light, and on those in a land of gloom, light has shone. Glory in your land, Jesus, who gives light to every man. For the Light has come into the world and He has enlightened you who believe in His Name with the light of life.
I love you. Stay out of the darkness, that is, lies, gossip, sloth, cruelty, abuse, anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, stealing, abuse of alcohol or drugs, immorality, gluttony, a lack of integrity, and the like, for I have rescued you from the power of darkness and translated you into the Kingdom of My beloved Son and qualified you for the inheritance of the saints in Light. My Light which I have given to you. I alone light your lamp, and Jesus, your great High Priest has lit it and keeps it pointing to Him, who alone gives light to your lamp and brightens the darkness around you. For the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. But the way of the wicked is like darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19. It is hard to run your race in the darkness, but My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. Would you not rather walk with Me in the Light? Bring all your darkness into My marvelous light and it will disappear in the brightness of My glory shining on you in the face of Christ. The remedy for darkness is simply to turn on the light. Light always overcomes darkness. John 1:4-5.
