But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I have something so great in mind for you that you will be awestruck and amazed, your heart will throb and overflow, and you will exclaim, “O LORD, how great is the goodness you have stored up for those who love You!”
Divorce yourself from the past. The past is over finished and gone it is time to step up and sing a new song, I am your God, I’m calling to you, come live in the light of My love. Come, come, and walk with Me, beloved within My light. Come, come and soar with Me on the wings of the wind we’ll take flight.
The tongue, it is all about what you are saying. Words are powerful. Jesus told you, “be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:48. Do you know what He was talking about? My servant James understood, he wrote by inspiration of My Spirit, “For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what (the word) he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well.” James 3:2. Perfect, the original word in Greek is “teleios,” which means “perfect, complete in all its parts, full grown, of full age, specially of the completeness of Christian character.” Simply put it means you control what you speak, which also has to do with what you are thinking. For from the heart’s abundance the mouth speaks.
And I go on to tell you more through My servant James, “Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they will obey us, we direct their entire body as well. Look at the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot desires.” James 3:3-4. So also the tongue—it is a very small member of your body but it can ruin your life and that of others or it can make your life prosperous and successful as well as the same for others. Joshua 1:8.
Think about the rudder of a ship. The wheel of a ship is the modern method of changing the angle of the rudder to change the direction of the boat or ship. It is also called the helm, together with the rest of the steering mechanism. The person at the helm is the person in charge, and at sea, that person is the one steering the boat with a device called a helm, the mechanism that keeps the boat on course. A helm out of control will cause the rudder to go with the storm and crash against the rocks.
It is time for you to take hold of the helm and turn the rudder of your life in the right direction to reach the destination of your promised land. Wake up sleeper and Christ will give you light! And James tells you it is only wisdom from on high that can direct your tongue in the right way. Left uncontrolled, speaking whatever your emotions are at the moment and self-focused irresponsible words your tongue defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of your life, and this fire is fueled by hell. If you are speaking jealousy and strife, there is disorder and every evil thing manifesting. James 3:6, 16. And you often wonder why things are turning out so badly when you are a believer. I will tell you why, you are immaturely allowing your tongue to babble whatever is perceived by you as how you feel or how others are treating you at that moment. But that is not what your words should be about. Your words create your world, just as Mine did and do. Everything that is made was made by My Word.
Now, you may feel very discouraged at the moment because even though you want to do so, you may just feel that you cannot control your tongue. As soon as you get in a situation that makes you mad, scared, depressed, or offended you just let it go and have to try to make amends later. But I have good news for you, I have given you the perfect solution so that you never have to speak what you do not want into your life again. But you have to be humble and serious about this.
I have given you a Paraclete, the one by your side. Let Me show you that He will take hold of the helm with you and get your “ship” going in the right direction. I have told you the solution, but you really have to read it in the original Greek it was written in to get the full meaning of it for your edification. So here we go:
“But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness,” let Me stop her for a moment. The word translated “help” there is the Greek word “synantilambanetai” and it means “to take hold of with you at your side,” that is, to assist jointly to perform a task. It is only used twice in the New Testament, once here and the other time is when Martha tells Jesus to have her sister Mary help her in the kitchen instead of leaving her to do all the work alone, Luke 10:40.
Do you see something? If the helm of the ship is too hard for you to turn, and you have let the rudder get out of control, getting you in a place you do not want to be, you have an expert pilot that is strong and all for you, that will stand at your side to pull the wheel with you. And when He pulls with you, the helm will turn in the right direction to save you out of the storm. Not by human power or might, but by My Spirit, the true wisdom from on High. And He guides you to My Word, for all Scripture is Spirit breathed. He alone knows My deepest thoughts, but He shares them with you. Let Him show you what to say and how to speak. Remember what Jesus told the disciples, “When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit.” Mark 13:11. And again, “But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.” Matthew 10:19-20. And My apostle Paul by revelation told you, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.” 1 Corinthians 2:12-13. Speaking in words taught you by the Spirit. Let us go on and I will show you more.
And the word for weakness used (i.e, why you need help), is the Greek word “astheneia,” which means frailty, without strength, in fact, in most instances in which it is used it is translated infirmity, sickness, disease and the like. Matthew 8:17, Luke 13:11-12, 2 Corinthians 10:12, John 11:4.
Now let us go with Romans 8:26 where we left off, for there is much more here for you to consider, “for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27.
Often what you are praying for seems right to you, but there are times that what seems right to a person ends in death. You need wisdom from on High and I have given you the gift of the Holy Spirit to be with you and in you always. You do have wisdom, a wonderful counselor, an expert, an advocate, a standby, a helper, a leader, a guide, and, just like Me, for He is My Spirit, there is nothing impossible for Him. He is power from on High. The anointing. He is our connection for you access Me by the One Spirit.
The Holy Spirit intercedes for you. Jesus does also as your great High Priest, but My Spirit is speaking words in you as if you were speaking them. He is praying with you and in you. He is speaking mysteries. This is praying in tongues. You must give utterance to the words in you that He is forming with groanings that are beyond the human mind, but they go into the anointing, and I have given you who are born again the mind of Christ, that is, the anointing. And the anointing teaches you all things. 1 John 2:27; John 14:26 (“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”). The Greek word here for “intercede” is “hyperentygxánō,” which refers to the Holy Spirit alighting upon you, bending down over you, interceding in every scene of your lives so you can come in line with My eternal purpose. The content of these intercessions goes beyond human language, and includes bringing sacred mysteries into your daily walk with Me. But let Me add another treasure, the word hyperentrygxano is hyper (meaning to benefit) with entygxano, which I describe below.
And as we continue, My apostle Paul continues the passage, “and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:27. And the word I use for “intercedes” is entygxánō and “en” means in, which intensifies tygxánō, which means “to obtain by hitting the mark, to hit the bulls-eye” (“spot on”). It is used in classical Greek as the antonym of the word “harmartia,” which is translated “sin” but its actual meaning is to miss the mark. Do you see? The Holy Spirit prays in you My Will for your life and He does not miss the mark, He hits the bull’s eye every time.
Isn’t it time you started praying and singing in the Spirit? He will the reach out to give you words and a wisdom no one can take exception to or contradict. He will train your tongue to hit the bull’s eye of My Will for your life and that of others every time. No word of yours will fall to the ground but will go right to the purpose for which I sent it. A prophet.
Paul put it this way: “One who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.” 1 Corinthians 14:2. “One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church. Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy.” 1 Corinthians 14:4-5. “Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.” 1 Corinthians 14:14-15. And Paul lets you know, “I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all, however, in the church I desire to speak five words with my mind so that I may instruct others also, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue.” 1 Corinthians 14:19. Tongues are your private prayer language where I unravel mysteries and speak out your destiny, but there are times I give tongues with another to interpret for the edification of all publicly, but this is a ministry gift. Please do as Paul did however, when you pray in tongues ask Me for understanding and then you will pray with the spirit and with the mind also; you will sing with the spirit and sing with the mind also. 1 Corinthians 14:14-15. Try it. You will be greatly edified. I do give you understanding of the tongues you are praying if you ask Me.
Don’t be discouraged about controlling your tongue. You have an expert Helmsman at your side to turn that rudder in just the right direction and get you to your desired haven. Just submit to My Word (because that is what He will guide you to and witness to you with your spirit), resist the devil’s words and thoughts, and he will have to flee from you. He won’t be able to get hold of the helm and turn your rudder if you are filled with the Holy Spirit. He will find no place.
Remember the Holy Spirit witnesses with your spirit that you are My child and that your sins and offenses I remember no more.
I love you. Let Me come alongside you by My Spirit and take hold with you of your words, which are your very life.
“Take to heart all these words I testify among you today, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this law. For they are not idle words to you, because they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.” Deuteronomy 32:46-47.
