Then God said, “Light be!” And light was. Genesis 1:3.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I command you to pray always and pray without ceasing. But Jesus told you when you are praying, not to use meaningless repetition as the unbelievers do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. He told you not to be like that. You and I are not to be involved in meaningless monologues, but meaningful dialogues. I listen to you and you, in turn, should listen to Me. I like it best when we ask each other questions and get meaningful answers. Yes, I ask questions that I expect you to evaluate and answer. And I expect you to do the same about whatever you have a question.

“Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” Jeremiah 33:2-3.

As Adam hid from Me rather than coming out into the light to take responsibility for what he had done, I simply asked him where he was and who he had been speaking with. It was time for him to evaluate.

The same with Elijah as he fled from Jezebel in fear just after I had worked an astounding miracle at his command. I simply asked him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” It was time for him to re-evaluate his actions and motives. So we had a fruitful dialogue. And you will notice that before we had our talk, I gave him sustaining bread (hot and fresh) and water and directed him to a place where I could talk to him in secret and in a calm and gentle manner. And that is meaningful prayer—it is personal, focused, edifying, exhorting, and encouraging. I also gave him directions for the next steps he was to take from there. And because he had complained he was alone serving Me, I sent him a companion who would continue his work. It was the glorious prophet Elisha, who became Elijah’s dedicated servant and disciple, who, at the right time, took his position as the prophet of Israel, the northern kingdom.

But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?” And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, “Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who used to pour water on the hands of Elijah.” 2 Kings 3:11.

People get very complicated about prayer and try to define it in just one aspect of it, but really it has multiple expressions and is as varied as conversations, revelations, impartations, visions, and commands. It is communication at its highest level for it is in the Spirit joining with your spirit and the soul listening and picking it up for a new way of operation in union with your spirit and not with your flesh. Once you are used to communicating with Me, we are both involved in initiating a meaningful dialogue and fruit thereof, but generally it is based on your drawing close to Me first and putting a demand on Me of communication. It is also a matter of having no fellowship with the devil to be able to have a complete, direct, and unhindered fellowship with Me. I know Mine and Mine know Me.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:1-5.

As Jesus told you, repetition of a phrase or word that someone told you gets My attention and works to get what you want, is NOT prayer. “Bombarding Heaven” is not prayer. I have already seated you who believe with Christ at My right hand. I hear you.

Now, I will ask you a question, how many words did it take for Me to set all life and creation in motion?

Then God said, “Light be!” And light was. Genesis 1:3.

Do you see? Two words. I said, “Light be!” over a dark and void earth, and what happened? Light was. And that was the light of life. All life, even now to the present moment, comes into being and keeps living forever in the one command of two words. I am light and there is no darkness in Me and that light is the life of mankind and all creation.

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. John 1:4.

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.

“Behold, God does all these oftentimes with men, to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.” Job 33:29-30.

If you know something is My Will such as healing, provision, peace of mind, no fear, no worry, no one lost but all saved—command it. If it is clear, such as healing, command it, do not beg for it. You have it already.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. Ephesians 1:3-4.

And you can access it immediately because of your position in Christ.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7.

So when My Will is clear from My Word or from the Holy Spirit speaking to your circumstance in the application of My Word, you can speak it by command. Jesus did not ask Me about it when He rebuked the wind and the sea. He knew I had told Him to go to the other side. And He had a Scripture on it.

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they were quiet, so He guided them to their desired haven. Psalm 107:28-30.

For things that are not so clear, seek My input on it.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

I tell you to ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall to opened to you. I told David to seek My face (converse with Me about things) and he did. He never went to battle without first getting the strategy from Me. 2 Samuel 5:17-15. He sought Me and I answered him and delivered him from all his fears. Psalm 34:4.

When you know something you are called to do but are reluctant to do it, pray that if possible the cup might pass you by but My Will be done and I will strengthen you and make it a joy before you, like Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane.

And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him. When He arrived at the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground. When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow, and said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” Luke 22:39-46.

And the result?

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2.

Jesus gave you a good summary of this in the encounter with the unfruitful fig tree.

And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.” Mark 11:22-26.

Do you see?

First you must have faith in Me to go anywhere with prayer. Mark 11:22. And you know how faith comes: faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word, especially about Christ. Romans 10:17. So study to show yourself approved and know My Will by knowing My Word.

Next, if what you are facing clearly has in My Word what My Will is with respect to that, then command it out of you and out of your way or call it in to you and tell it to stay. That is speaking the truth of My Word to take down the contrary fact, such as sickness, pain, or lack, or to call in one of My promises, such as healing, provision, wisdom, power, strength, grace, or skill—giving life to the dead and calling into being that which does not exist in the physical realm. All My magnificent promises are “YES” to you in Christ Jesus and you are seated with those promises and blessing all around you, you just need to take them and receive them in your spirit and work them out to your soul and body. So take them, receive them, and command them by faith.

If it is not clear then pray and ask and believe you have already been given the solution and the answer, it will be granted to you. There are questions that the basic principles are in My Word but the exact answer to your situation is not—such as who to marry, where to go to college, or what job to take out of multiple offers.

Remember, when you call on Me, I answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know on your own or just by the promises or principles in My Word. I do give you guidelines, like your spouse, if you marry, should be a believer in Jesus and grounded in My Word—a person of integrity, filled with My love, honest and diligent. You will know them by the fruit of their lips and of their lives.

And for a job, it must be honest, of service to others, a blessing to you and those you work with, and those you serve. Not a scammer, liar, cheat, deceiver and certainly not in a position that draws people into sin such as drinking, taking drugs, immoral and lustful acts, or the like.

Prayer is also fellowship time—just to visit and relax, a time of refreshment and joy where you explore the treasures in My Word with Me. Jesus sometimes prayed all night and that was conversation, revelation, impartation, wisdom, and direction.

I love you. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give constant thanks and you will have days of Heaven on earth.
