For the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. Isaiah 12:2-3.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. Revelation 22:17.
Shout joyfully to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of His name. Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works!” Psalm 66:1-3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Do you recall the parable My Son told in which He compared the Kingdom of Heaven to ten maidens who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom? Five were foolish and five were wise. When the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Matthew 25:1-4. The bridegroom was delayed but when he arrived all the maidens went to trim their lamps, but the foolish ones’ lamps were going out and they had no more oil. They wise ones would not give up their oil to them, so they had to go out to purchase some, while out, they missed going in with the bridegroom to the feast.
Their lamps were going out. They needed more oil. The wise ones could trim their lamps, like Aaron would do morning and evening in the Holy place for the golden lampstand, but the foolish ones were out of oil. To light their lamps they needed fresh oil. So if your lamp (your joy, your strength) has been going out, you only need one thing: more oil.
How do you get that? It is the anointing. Remember Jesus as He quoted the prophet Isaiah as He began His public ministry? “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, He has anointed Me.” And I anointed Him with the oil of joy.
You get the anointing from My Spirit. And it is Jesus who baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and pours the Spirit from My throne onto you. Acts 2:33. I give the Spirit to Jesus and He gives Him to you. I pour My Spirit into you through the door of Jesus. So how do you get this superabundant anointing upon you? Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well the answer, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10. And when she questioned that statement Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14. And if you have any question about where you get that living water, Jesus has the answer, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39.
My prophet Isaiah, who saw the glory of Jesus, told you how to get that living water from Jesus to yourself. “With joy you shall draw water from the springs of Yeshuah” (Salvation, which is Jesus’ Name in Hebrew). Isaiah 12:2-3.
It is simple, just ask Me for the Holy Spirit and I give Him to Jesus to pour out on you. You ask Jesus for a drink and then you draw the water from Him with joy! Come and partake and be filled with all My fullness in your mortal flesh.
You do not have a major medical problem, you are not “clinically depressed,” it is not part of your inheritance, you are just thirsty.
In fact you are dehydrated in your spirit and soul. And you are also hungry. No wonder you are feeling weak and depressed. You are dying of hunger and thirst and are not even aware of it so that you drink and eat what you need so badly. There is a famine in the land but not for bread, but for My Word. Without My Word, you can do nothing.
So if your lamp is going out, do not sit in the darkness. You simply need more oil, that is, My Spirit, and you only get filled with the Spirit in one way, by drinking until you are full. They got so full on Pentecost that everyone thought they were drunk. And how do you draw that living water? “For the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.” Isaiah 12:2-3. I am your song. Have you never read how My servant Paul tells you to get filled with the Holy Spirit? “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time [does this remind you of the wise virgins in the parable My Son told?], because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” Ephesians 5:15-20.
Start building your house, that is, framing your world. And I tell you how, “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 24:3-4. And unless I build the house, they labor in vain who build it. Psalm 127:1. There is hope for a better future, your life is not over yet or you would not still be here. And how do you get that wisdom, understanding, and knowledge? I answer that, “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6. I give wisdom to those who ask and I give it generously. James 1:5-8. And knowledge and understanding come to you from the Words of My mouth. Remember? Jesus told you that man does not live on bread alone but on every Word that comes from My mouth.
There is hope for a better future. Wisdom, understanding, and knowledge are what you need to build it and those are all of My Spirit. Have you not read, “Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit (this is a prophecy of Jesus come as man). The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. And He will delight in the fear of the LORD.” Isaiah 11. And that same Spirit rests on you who are in Him.
The anointing, it comes back to drinking from the fountain of LIFE. And you can. Why don’t you ask the One I sent you, who is the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE, for a drink? You really do not have a medical, clinical, psychological, emotional, or inherited problem, you are just dying of thirst. And so is the whole world. Won’t you give them a drink? For I was thirsty, and you gave Me to drink. Whatever you do for the least of My brothers you do for Me. Lead My people to life giving water.
You can say with David, “The LORD is my Shepherd, there is nothing I shall want. He leads me to green pastures and healing waters of peace.” And My Word will spread a table of abundance before you and your cup will overflow, for I have brought you into My banquet hall and My banner over you is love. Just be sure you obtain oil for your lamp. And now you know how and where to get it. But it is without cost to you, though it cost My Son every drop of His blood to get it for you.
I love you. The meal is ready and all set out, you only need to come, eat, and drink.
“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread? And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live.” Isaiah 55:1-3.
