Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 1:3.

I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season—showers of blessing. Ezekiel 34:26.

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me void, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

There are times when all seems darkness and you are in a dry and empty place where there is no joy.  That is grief, and that is not from Me.  But you do have the ability to change it.

Send up praise and release the rain on your drought of joy.  In the midst of your tears, send up My Word and release the rain from My cloud of glory.  You have an account there.  I have blessed you with every heavenly blessing in the heavenlies in Christ.  You have it already.  Bring it down.

You need to return My Word to Me from your mouth for two witnesses (My Word and your word agreeing with Me (homologia in Greek as you read it in Hebrews 4:14-15)) to establish the fact in your life.

Send up the promise as your declaration.  And the result?  I tell you. “For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up, and instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up, and it will be a memorial to the LORD, for an everlasting sign which will not be cut off.” Isaiah 55:12-13. The dry place in your life becomes a well-watered garden.  A memorial to Me of My blessing on you.  Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were always setting up memorials to Me in places where I revealed Myself to them and blessed them.

Do not just sit there grumbling, crying and feeling defeated and hopeless.  That behavior will just get you deeper into the pit.  The word for “grumbling” in Hebrew is “lun” which also means “to spend the night there.”  And by that kind of behavior you will spend your life in darkness and despair.  You will spend the night there.  And with night weeping comes.  But with the dawn rejoicing.  But you have to know how to wake the dawn even in the darkest pit as David did.  The key of David.  Use it.  Praise can open any door and get you out of the deepest pit or jail cell.  Ask Paul and Silas about it.  Ask David about it.  Ask Jehoshaphat about it.  It can rout your enemies who take you into darkness.  And I mean Satan and his cohorts.

Many of you have a battle with depression or self-condemnation.  Many of you struggle with past decisions you made that now you feel were wrong.  Many of you feel hopeless and trapped at times and have no idea how to get out. And you feel like no one else is feeling like that but you.  But you are wrong.  David is a man after My own heart and I certainly favored and blessed him in every way and gave him victory on every side, but he had down days.  Have you never read Psalm 143?  Let Me show you, and if you are feeling as if you cannot go on and your spirit is failing within you, then you will appreciate this Psalm all the more, you might even want to pray it with David:

“Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications!  Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!  And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no man living is righteous. For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead. Therefore my spirit is faint within me; my heart is desolate within me. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I muse on the work of Your hands. I stretch out my hands to You; my soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah. Answer me quickly, O Lord, my spirit fails; do not hide Your face from me or I will become like those who go down to the pit. Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; for I trust in You; teach me the way in which I should walk; for to You I lift up my soul. Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies; I take refuge in You. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For the sake of Your name, O LORD, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. And in Your lovingkindness, cut off my enemies and destroy all those who afflict my soul, for I am Your servant.” Psalm 143.

And as My servant Paul writes, your enemies are not of flesh and blood but are the devil and his cohorts.  And they know what regrets and desires bring you down immediately.  And they will accuse you of these things constantly.  That is what “Satan” means in Hebrew, “prosecutor” or “accuser.” And he often uses the law to do it. But know when these thoughts come and give you depression, no rest and no peace that they are not from Me.  For I am the God of peace.  Gideon, though he was most unhappy, had peace when He heard from Me.  And he called Me YHWH Shalom.

Bring down the rain.  Elijah did.  By prayer.  And he looked for the cloud. 1 Kings 18:41-46.

I came to the Israelites and Moses in a cloud.  I came to Jesus on the mountain of transfiguration in a cloud. Moses came to speak to Me on Mt. Sinai and entered into the cloud. And the cloud of My glory led the Israelites to the Promised Land.  Each day the cloud lifted and guided them on or stayed in place and they remained where they were.  Keep your head in the cloud, so to speak.  Don’t let Satan pull you out of it.  Stay in My glory, which is My goodness, and you will be glad indeed.

And what do I ask of you each day?  I have told you what is good and what I require of you: to do justice, to love kindness (chesed), and to walk humbly with Me, your God, Micah 6:8, to believe in the Name of Jesus and to love one another as I have loved you, 1 John 3:23, and to rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give constant thanks, such is My Will for you in Christ Jesus, your Lord. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

You would do well to concentrate on these things each day and not so much on what you have done in the past or whether you are a worldly success at present.

And never forget that you who believe in My Son are the Body of Christ, His Body on earth and all members of it.  And remember this: no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because you are members of His body.  Ephesians 5:29-30.  Please know then that when you are feeling devoid of joy and really down and defeated that He sympathizes with your weaknesses, for you are part of His Body, and He nourishes and cherishes you.  You cannot ignore a part of your body that is hurting, no, instaed you give it special attention, more than the other parts that feel fine.  Like the parable of the lost sheep—the Shepherd leaves the 99 who are not lost to find the one lost one.  He gives it special attention.  You give more attention to the parts of you that are hurting.  And so does He.  And all My promises are “yes” to you in Him.  Including the promise of My joy in you so your joy may be complete.

I love you.  I gave My Son for you, will I not give you everything good besides?  Just call on Me, your helper, when you are down and I will lift you up. I raise you up on eagle’s wings.  And know that no pit is so deep I cannot see and set My loving eyes on you and bear you up on eagle’s wings to soar with Me above. Get your head in the clouds where you are seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. I am the lifter of your head. Psalm 3:3.

Just bring down the rain.  Don’t you hear the thunder rolling?  The Israelites heard it when I came down among them on Mt. Sinai (also known as Mt. Horeb). My voice is majestic but it also comes in a tiny whisper. That is the way Elijah heard it on the same mountain when he went there in deep depression looking for comfort.  Stretch out your hands to Me and you will find that I have been stretching out My hands to you all the day, just put your hands into Mine and let Me raise you up, like My Son did Lazarus from the darkness and bindings of the oppression of the tomb to freedom. And all He did was call him out into the light. Let Me wipe your tears away.  Forever.

I love you. You cannot even begin to fathom the love I have for you. But you get a glimpse of it in Christ. Come up higher. Lift your eyes and see that the glory has been surrounding you all the time. You just never looked up to see the canopy over the assemblies of Zion, the place of grace, and that is where you are. The grace in which you now stand. The place called grace. Glory.

I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season—showers of blessing. Ezekiel 34:26.
