But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. James 1:19-21.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says;

Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. James 1:19. “Be perfect,” My Son told you, “as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” And My servant James told you that a perfect man is one who controls his tongue.

I told Moses as I passed by him in My glory (goodness) that he longed to see, declaring My Name, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, SLOW TO ANGER, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth.” Exodus 34:5.

Imitate Me as My dear children and walk in love. Ephesians 5:1-2. And how do you do that? “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31-32. And how did I forgive you in Christ? By the Blood of My Son. His Blood paid divine justice the debt you owed and now you are redeemed, ransomed, and free. He paid Me for your debts to Me with His precious Blood. And He paid you the same for all who have offended you. So apply the same standard I use and forgive one another.

Immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. Ephesians 5:3-4. You will be happy and free and hear Me much better if you do not permit your flesh to rule you in these things.

I listen to what you say. Your words are not unnoticed by Me, in fact, I know your thoughts and before a word is on your tongue, I know the whole of it. I tell you through My prophet Malachi, “Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” Malachi 3:16-18. I listen to what you say attentively, I even write it down in a book of remembrance when it is a time of fellowship in and with Me and likeminded believers.

But today I want to go to another level about that directive to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. It is all focused on your relationship with Me. That is what it is about. You are to be quick to hear My Words, not those of a stranger that will plant the wrong seed in your heart that, if it takes root, will build a tree that produces fruit of the kind that will destroy and poison your life and everyone else’s who is close to you.

So when I say, “be quick to hear,” I do not mean to every voice. Jesus tells you to be careful what you listen to. Mark 4:24. This is very important. You must guard your heart with all diligence for from it flow the issues of life. If you are planting things contrary to My Word, take care, My people are destroyed for lack of knowing My Word. If you do not know what to speak into confusion to make order, the way I did in the creation of the world, you will not be able to overcome.

You need to be quick to hear My voice in every situation. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions, but you have to be listening attentively and you have to receive that Word. Faith comes by hearing for what you hear plants in your heart and if you cultivate it, it will become the stronghold of your life. Read the directive “be quick to hear” in context: “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. Know this, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the Word implanted, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:17-21. The verse before it speaks of My Word of truth bringing you forth and coming down from Heaven, and the verse after speaks of receiving My Word to save your souls.

For your salvation in every situation, you first must get My input. And when I give you a Word on it, run with it. You will know when I do, for it will witness with your spirit and there will be an engagement of your heart. And another reason to listen attentively is so that you know what words to say over the situation to resolve it victoriously.

Give attention to My Words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight. Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22.

Let him who has ears, HEAR. Shema, shema. I tell you often, which means to hear, pay attention and obey all in one word. And when you say My Words, you always act in love, which is patient, kind, takes no offense, and is slow to anger. And if you hear like I do, I hear the cry of the poor, and you will to so that you can help those in need.

Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put devious speech far from you. Proverbs 4:24.

My prophet Isaiah wrote, “The Lord LORD (Adonai YHWH) has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord LORD has opened My ear; and I was not disobedient nor did I turn back.” Isaiah 50:4-5. I awaken your ear to listen as a disciple. Be quick to hear and ponder before you speak. You need to process what you have heard in your heart and then give it voice with your voice to the world. What you talk about and share with others should always be from processing in your heart what you have heard from Me. From the abundance of your heart, your mouth speaks, the fruit of your lips. Offer to others a good and healthy meal. And you also will eat the fruit of your lips. But you will only produce good fruit if the seed in you was good seed that grew into a tree planted firmly in My courts that yields amazing fruit.

Life, life that is life indeed, is all about hearing Me, speaking My edifying Word, and leaving vengeance to Me. The anger of man does not achieve My righteousness.

When things are out of order, I speak order. I speak to things to get them in order. Just read the first chapter of Genesis. You are to imitate Me as My dear children. All creation is groaning for you to take your dominion authority and to stop the confusion, to bring shalom.

I love you. Be quick to hear My voice, to speak My Words, and to leave judgment and vengeance to Me.
