How happy are those who dwell in Your house! Continually they are praising You. Psalm 84:4.
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Psalm 122:1.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Happy are they who dwell in My house, their mouths are full of praise and thanksgiving for so great a treasure.
Everyone wants to be happy. I tell you that those are happy who dwell in My house and that I make you joyful in My house of prayer. This gives you the answer you are seeking. You may be looking for happiness in the wrong places.
How do you dwell in My house? Well, who dwells in a home together? Family. The household of faith. My Son is the firstborn of many brethren and My Son has a place in the house forever. When you receive Jesus, He gives you the authority to become My children. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. John 8:35.
My Son is the cornerstone of the house of the Church, and coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in My sight, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to Me through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5.
Now, you must understand that in the Old Testament when I talk about My house it is the place where I put My Name and sacrifices are offered in atonement for sins. It began with the Tabernacle in the wilderness that I gave Moses the exact plan for on Mt. Sinai. And that meeting tent traveled with My people and led them to the Promised Land by the glory cloud hovering over it night and day. And My people all camped in their tents around it. I was in the midst of them. My house (tent) was with their houses (tents). We traveled as one.
Later, the Israelites built Me a beautiful house in Jerusalem on the place I put My Name, it was the known as the Temple Mount and it was in the spot on the mountain of Moriah where I had directed Abraham to offer up his son on the rock of sacrifice, but I sent the Lamb.
The Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple of Solomon were both referred to as My house. And it was there I dwelt among My people and connected with them in a special way in the Holy of Holies, though I fill the universe and beyond. A household of faith, united in purpose, prayer, and sacrifice (the five offerings of Leviticus).
And both the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple of Solomon had an outer court, an inner court, and the Holy of Holies. That was the pattern I gave Moses on the mountain. And where you were in the house depended on your relationship with Me and your role in ministry. The sinner went into the outer court with his sacrifice but only the priests went into the inner court and only the High Priest went in to the Holy of Holies. Both Samuel and David did not pay attention to that but went right before the ark of the Covenant and the mercy seat, and I permitted it because of their relationship with Me.
And that is the key. Whether you are in the outer court, the inner court or the Holy of Holies depends upon the degree of your relationship with Me. And your happiness depends on that.
Happiness has to do with how close you are in your relationship to Me. Mary had chosen the best part over the anxious activity of Martha. But many of you treat your relationship with Me as if it all depends on how much work you are doing for the Kingdom. Be careful that you are not working so hard to serve Me, like Martha, that you forget about Me.
Seek the Kingdom of Heaven first and My righteousness and everything will be added to you besides. And that makes for joy, pure joy. No worry, no fear, no anxiety at all. Just a happy house that no storm can shake.
You are made to be in close connection and oneness with Me. Do you recall when I first formed you? It was out of Me you came. I breathed My own breath into your nostrils. Do you remember My Words? “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” And I created male and female in My own image, in My image I created you. And I blessed you and gave you rule over the earth and all the works of My hands therein. Genesis 1:26-28.
After Adam severed his close connection with Me, he suffered the pain of separation. It caused him fear and anxiety. It cost him his peace. It was like going through a divorce or a death of the one you depended on for your companionship, counsel, support, and sustenance. And man has suffered that pain of separation ever since. And you will only find true happiness, the joy no one can take from you, by coming back into that relationship with Me for companionship, counsel, support, and sustenance.
And that is what I mean by dwelling in My house. It is being so united that we abide together. Forever, but starting now. Eternal life is to know Me, the one true God, and the One I sent, Jesus Christ, who again unites Man and God in One Person. It is living in the light of My love for days without number and years without end.
This is the true Highway of Holiness that I told My prophet Isaiah about in the context of the prophecy of the Messiah coming and make the blind to see, the deaf to hear, and the lame to leap like a stag. I call it the Highway of Holiness, but it could also be called the Highway of Happiness. It is a journey to joy and it is a joyful journey to joy. A joy no man can take from you. It is for the redeemed to walk. You will only be happy when you are holy, for I am holy and you are in My image.
And holy means pure. Pure love and pure light with no darkness in you at all. Let Me wash you in light as you walk with Me in the light of My love. For light turns all to light. You cannot come into the light and remain in darkness. Light overcomes darkness. Let My Light shine back in you and your fear will go.
My joy is your strength and I am your strength and your song. With joy you will return to Me to draw living water from the fountains of salvation, Yeshuah.
And I tell you that all peoples, even those still far off from Me, even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar. For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples. Isaiah 56:7. A house of prayer. Prayer is what makes your life extraordinary. Prayer is where you flow with Me. You pour your heart into Me and I pour My heart into you and Kingdom business is taken care of and revelation is flowing. It is walking in oneness and in openness of heart to who the other one is.
Whenever you start to feel your joy go down it is time to head for prayer, My house of prayer, and I will make you joyful there, for I will show you My heart for you and I will lead you in the way of the Highway of Happiness right into the Holy of Holies. There is fullness of joy in My presence, the delights at My right hand forever. If your joy is down, the connection is weak. Fan it into flame with joyful singing. That is how you draw the water your thirsty soul needs from the fountain of Salvation within you.
I love you. Come home. I am there waiting for you to draw near. I am your God, I am calling to you, come live in the light of My love. Jesus has joined us back together, the severed connection can be a thing of the past if you will only come to the living water.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts onto the Lord, always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father. Ephesians 5:17-20.
