“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.” John 14:3-10.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Grace and glory I bestow, no good to I withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11.
People do not know Me. They do not understand My goodness. Taste and see My goodness! How blessed, happy and complete is the one who takes refuge in Me. How great is the goodness I have stored up for those who love Me.
And that is the key. Those who love Me. But you will never love Me in the way I want you to love Me until you have tasted My goodness.
Do you know how I want you to love Me? I have told you My heart’s desire on this. I want you to love Me with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and your neighbor as yourself. But how can you do that where it actually is your desire and not a standard you are trying to meet but is something flowing from you to Me? Not imposed, but who you really are.
The answer is simple: By knowing Me. But most people do not know Me.
How do you know Me? By seeing Jesus. He is the radiance of My glory and the exact representation of My nature and upholds all things by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:3. Jesus is the way to know Me because in seeing Him you are seeing Me. Jesus is the way to know My ways. And My ways are love and truth. The Israelites I redeemed out of Egypt never entered My rest because they saw My works but they did not know My ways. I sent Jesus to you to show you who I am in a way you could touch. “What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.” 1 John 1:1-4.
Look at Jesus and know Me. See Him coming to save you. See Him as a baby—weak and little, embracing your humanity and giving Himself completely into your hands.
See Him as a boy—obedient and growing in grace and favor with Me and man.
See Him as a man—established with Me in a Oneness of God and Man filled with the Spirit, meek and humble of heart, come to serve you and not to be served. Come to subject Himself to the divine sentence of condemnation and to allow Himself to be handed over to sinful men who destroyed him physically and abused Him emotionally.
In Jesus I came to hold you close in My bosom—to heal, to provide, to set free, to teach, to guide, to preach, to reach to all and seek out and save the lost, to be your helper. To give you His Body and Blood as food and drink, to fill you with eternal life and strength the journey to Mt. Zion.
To shepherd, to intercede, to bless, to be the sacrifice and the Priest.
To be your everything.
And in seeing Him, you are seeing Me. I want to be your everything and that is why I give you Jesus to live your life through Him.
He is My exact image. I was in Him reconciling the world to Myself, not counting your trespasses against you but taking them all on Myself—all responsibility for them on Myself. I bore your burdens and carried your sorrows, your ills, and set you free.
Why? My goodness. Which is My glory.
Grace and glory I bestow and I withhold no good from those who walk blamelessly, unblemished, complete.
And how do you do that? In Jesus.
He cleanses you in His Blood to release you from your sins and then from all impurities. He sanctifies you by having cleansed you by the washing of water with the Word. I regenerate you in My Spirit. In goodness I take you to Myself. Like Boaz with Ruth and Naomi. He took them both into His house. He was a kinsman redeemer to both, the Jew (Naomi) and the Gentile (Ruth) and made them into one new man. In Him I became your kinsman redeemer.
In Jesus I achieved the Oneness with you that was My deepest desire. My good pleasure prospered in His hand. Isaiah 53:10.
I love you. Look at Jesus and know Me. And you will see He is your everything. And that is what I am too. Never hold Me far away from you, let Me be your ALL. You need comfort, I am the God of all comfort. You need provision, I am the LORD who looks ahead and provides. You need healing? I am the LORD your healer. You need righteousness? I am the LORD your righteousness. You need saving? I am the God of your salvation. Whatever you need I have it, I am it and I will give it freely to you.
Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all thing hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. Colossians 2:15-20.
