But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

It is good to really look carefully at what a Scripture says before you quote it. Many people quote My Word just a little off so it is close but it changes the meaning.

By the inspiration of My Spirit, Paul wrote, “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”  2 Corinthians 2:14. Notice what I am saying here, I am saying that I ALWAYS LEAD YOU IN TRIUMPH in Christ, not cause you to triumph in Christ. You are marching in a celebration of triumph already won. You are not subject to a battle with an opponent that you may lose, you are marching in triumph in Christ to enforce the victory already won for you against the powers of evil, the realm of darkness, the “god” of this world, the prince of the air, i.e., the devil and his demons. As I have written: “When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven all your transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through the Cross.” Colossians 2:13-15.  And you are in that public display of the triumphal procession with the devil beneath your feet, disarmed, divested, judged guilty, and condemned.

You are enforcing a judgment on the one that the highest court of the universe has already condemned, judged, and pronounced the sentence. It is finished, you have only to enforce it for you have already won in Christ. This is the aftermath of the battle and the victory was won by Christ, you are only to enforce the judgment and collect the booty. Like Jehoshaphat in the valley of trouble, which turned into a valley of blessing, for I fought for him. And in Jesus, I already came down and fought for you. And of course, I won. So you see why I write that I ALWAYS lead you in triumph in Christ. You have only to walk it out. And I say to you what I said to Joshua: “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses.” Joshua 1:3.

Now stop there. Please do not go on without considering what the deeper meaning is here to apply to your life. For Joshua, it was about taking the promised territory of what became the nation of Israel, for you it has a different meaning depending on where I am directing you to tread. But note how I speak to you, “just as I spoke to Moses.” And how did I speak to Moses? I tell you that too, when I gave Moses the plans for the Tabernacle, My dwelling place, I told him, “You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel.” Exodus 25:21-22.

The mercy seat, or in Hebrew and Greek, the “propitiatory,” is where the blood of the sin offering and the burnt offering was sprinkled to atone for the sins of the priests and of the people. Leviticus 16:3. It represents Jesus, for He is your atonement before Me, “Love then consists in this, not that we have loved God but that He has loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10.

He is the propitiatory, He is the mercy seat, and how do I speak to you now that He has died and risen and put you in His triumphal train? “God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:1-4.

So you see wherever you tread you must enforce the victory by showing the world the sin offering and the burnt offering and spiritually sprinkling the blood that was shed once for all producing eternal redemption. The blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony will overcome the illegal attacks of Satan for he has already been condemned by the Blood and My Word. Jesus told the disciples at the Last Supper, “And the Holy Spirit, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; 11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” John 16:8-11. Yes, he is already judged, but people are still letting him blind their eyes and he is getting away with deceit and murder, murder of innocent babies and human lives and destinies. He is still stealing, killing, and destroying so you have to tread on him and take back those lives he has illegally taken as you march in the triumphal victory celebration march with Christ leading you the same way He led the children of Israel out of Egypt: “And He brought forth His people with songs of joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout.” Psalm 105:43. And where did the procession take them? “He gave them also the lands of the nations (unbelievers), that they might take possession of the peoples’ labor, so that they might keep His statutes and observe His laws, Praise the LORD!” Psalm 105:44-45. And “He brought them out with silver and gold, and among His tribes there was not one who was feeble.” Psalm 105:37.

But let us keep considering our key Scripture here, “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”  2 Corinthians 2:14. I manifest through you the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. What is that sweet aroma and knowledge of what? Go back to the origin, the five sacrifices I gave to Moses and see what I say there, “And the priest shall burn all on the altar as a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the LORD.” Leviticus 1:9. And then for the grain offering, “When anyone offers a grain offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour. And he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it. He shall bring it to Aaron’s sons, the priests, one of whom shall take from it his handful of fine flour and oil with all the frankincense. And the priest shall burn it as a memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the LORD.” Leviticus 2:1-2. And the same is said of the peace offering, “Then he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire to the LORD . . . and Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is on the wood that is on the fire, as an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the LORD.” Leviticus 3:3-5. Next comes the sin offering, again I say the same, “and the priest shall burn it on the altar for a sweet aroma to the LORD. So the priest shall make atonement for him (the sinner), and it shall be forgiven him.” Leviticus 4:31.

And have you read the book of Ephesians? “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” Ephesians 5:1-2. I confirm for you the sweet fragrance I am speaking about. It is the burnt offering, the grain offering, the peace offering, the sin offering—it is the gift of Jesus to take away the sins of the world. “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” John 1:29. The Elijah spirit, the same as on Mt. Carmel, that showed the sinning people the burnt offering and My fire fell to consume that and not the people. And John showed the people Jesus, the true burnt offering that fulfills all of the Old Testament types and shadows that find their real substance in Christ.

And as you walk in the world, you spread this sweet aroma wherever your feet tread. You are shod in the footgear of the Gospel of peace. Shalom has a sweet smell. How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who announce peace, and bring good news of happiness, who announce Salvation. Isaiah 52:7.

Yes, I always lead you in triumph in Christ, and manifest through you the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14. And this should be the way your walk, not in fear, not in anxiety, not in failure, not in surrender to the enemy’s tactics, but as those who have a journey to make, a triumphant victory march to take territory for the Kingdom even now. And the good news is, you already have the victory, you are only celebrating it as you enforce it everywhere.

I love you and have given you the victory already in Christ Jesus your Lord. So stop trying to get a victory and start relying on Me to fill you with all the goodness, virtue, holiness, and purity you need to enforce it.
