But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” And the LORD said, “Assuredly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.” Exodus 3:11-12.

Then David the king came in and sat before the LORD, and he said, “Who am I, Lord LORD, and who are the members of my household, that You have brought me this far? And yet this was insignificant in Your eyes, Lord LORD, for You have spoken also of the house of Your servant regarding the distant future.” 2 Samuel 7:18-19.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Why not you?

If that rings in your heart already you know what I am saying to you. If you look throughout the history written in the Bible you will find that I work with, through and in people who are willing to partner with Me and authorize My action in them and through them to the salvation of souls and the blessing of every person and nation. If I can even find one person who is willing to step aside from whatever their own agenda is for their life to see what I am about and look into being busy about My affairs, i.e., making My agenda their agenda, I can move nations and do miracles, signs and wonders that make known My presence, power and, above all, My goodness.

I am not limited to saving by many or by few. 1 Samuel 14:6. I just need to find someone willing to step out and take the challenge with Me.

You may have many doubts or reasons it could not be you who are to undertake great exploits for My Kingdom, but so did Moses, and yet look what I did working with him when he opened up his heart to go with Me and follow My direction. He took on a new plan and that plan became his path to greatness and fame, not only in his day but to this day. Jesus talks about Moses and Moses appeared talking to Jesus on the mountain of the transfiguration. Moses’ life would have not been like that if he had not decided to go with My agenda instead of his own. My plans for you are perfect. There is a way that seems right to a man but it ends in death. Choose life that you and your descendants may live.

My Son told you very clearly that Moses wrote about Him. Jesus told the Jews, “Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have put your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” John 5:45-47. There are many people today who question the writings of Moses, but Jesus told you that if you do not believe the account Moses wrote is true then you will not believe Jesus either. Be careful about this.

So first consider Moses. Moses was what is considered elderly (80 years old), was busy with children and a wife, was not in the government, was a fugitive from justice, had murdered a man, and had a job watching his father-in-law’s sheep and his father-in-law did not worship Me but false gods. So you may think you are not qualified to do a Kingdom assignment, but Moses certainly did not think he could do what I told him was My plan. I wanted to redeem My people who cried out to Me in the cruel affliction of their Egyptian taskmasters and send Moses to do it. But Moses had tried to defend a fellow Israelite and rescue him from the cruelty of oppression once before and met with rejection from the Israelites and lost his favored position as the adopted son of Pharaoh’s daughter by his efforts. And where he was at that point, having fled Egypt, he was not enslaved and had escaped all that, so he was not sure he wanted to get involved.

I needed a person on earth to authorize My activity on My people’s behalf and to speak My Words on earth so I could perform them. There was no one in the government at that time that would listen to Me for they scorned Me and My existence, as you see in Pharaoh’s reactions to Moses’ requests to let My people go. So I told Moses I was sending him and would be with him and that through him I would bring it to pass and he would bring My people Israel out of Egypt and worship at the mountain upon which he was then standing speaking with Me.

I shared My plan with Moses: “I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their outcry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.” Exodus 3:7-9. And then I went on, “But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except under compulsion. So I will reach out with My hand and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it; and after that he will let you go. I will grant this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go empty-handed. But every woman shall ask her neighbor and the woman who lives in her house for articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; and you will put them on your sons and daughters. So you will plunder the Egyptians.” Exodus 3:19-22.

And then I gave him the assignment, “And now come, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.” But Moses said to Me, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” And I said, “Assuredly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”

And a very great adventure began that ended up moving a nation out of another nation to a land promised them by covenant between Me and their ancestor who walked with Me in faith. Yes, Abraham. And it was all very carefully planned out for hundreds of years before. I took the measures to make Pharaoh release them and orchestrated providing them with the wealth of Egypt. I was leading them on their way of escape when Pharaoh decided to chase after them and capture them, so I had a plan. I told Moses to turn and go another way that took him to the edge of the sea at a deep point. There was no way out with Pharaoh’s army behind them in a constricted canyon except going forward through the very deep sea. But I told Moses to raise his staff and part the sea, which I then performed. Being no other way to pursue the Israelites that was timely, Pharaoh’s army also entered the path through the sea, but that path was not for them, so I fought for My people against those who sought to destroy them. I instructed Moses to do what I needed done to release the molecules that had packed solid to be flowing water again and back it flowed. I devastated the army that pursued them, which without My help and plan they could never have done. They had no weapons equal to Pharaoh’s army and no way to ward off that troop. But I had a strategy and Moses went with it and did not decide to follow the land route that he knew back to Mt. Horeb where I had spoken to him in the burning bush and told him to come back with the people.

To keep on a plan with Me you have to be willing to follow and not do what you think better, because there is often a way that seems right to a man but it is not the right way and it ends in death.

But now let’s talk about you. Are you willing to have a journey as magnificent as Moses? Think about what I did with that man. I saved a numerous people from oppression and the murder of their infants and brought them to a land I gave them that was flowing with milk and honey. I gave them magnificent cities and houses they did not build, vineyards they did not plant, and wells they did not dig. I gave them the grain, the wine and the oil. And I gave them laws, commands, direction, rules, statutes that were just and righteous like no nation had ever had. I devasted a powerful empire and parted a deep sea. I gave them manna every morning for over forty years. I made My dwelling among them and funded it with tremendous wealth that was handed over to them as gifts when they left Egypt. I fought for them in a way that a great army could not have delivered them so wondrously. I led them by the glory of a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. I gave them My Words, I even wrote them with My own finger. And I let them all see My glory and hear My voice at Mt. Sinai. I was constantly with them. Moses spoke with Me like a friend.

And that was before Jesus gave His life to make you righteous and make you My dwelling place in the Spirit.

If you are willing, then you will say like Isaiah, “Here I am, LORD, send me!” And if you will walk with Me in truth, I can do a great work with you, in you and through you. Like Moses. Like Joseph. Like Joshua. Like Deborah. Like Gideon. Like Ruth. Like Hannah. Like Samuel. Like David. Like Elijah and Elisha. Like Isaiah and Jeremiah. Like Daniel. Like Elizabeth. Like Mary. Like John the Baptist. Like Peter, Andrew, James, John, and Paul. Like Lydia. And I could go on. They are all people like you but they all became just like Me. Why? They walked with Me. And you can too.

Say, “Why not me?” And mean it.

I love you. Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know. Nothing is too wonderful for Me. Join up with Me. And don’t argue that you are a woman and not Moses, read My Word on that, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28.
