I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the LORD; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart. Jeremiah 24:7.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
The key to a triumphant life is to know Me. This is eternal life, to know Me, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom I have sent. In seeing Him, you are seeing Me, in hearing Him, you are hearing Me, in following Him you are following Me, and in loving Him, you are loving Me.
When you put yourself and all you are and own in His hands you are putting all in Mine.
The reason the generation of Israelites I redeemed from Egypt failed to live triumphant lives of being more than conquerors was because they did not know Me. They saw My works, but they did not know My ways.
When you read My apostle Paul’s Spirit led prayers for you, you will see that he primarily prayed that you would know Me, “while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Ephesians 1:16-17. “For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:9-11. He knew everything else would follow from that. Jesus told you the same, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33. Knowledge of that you are righteous with My own righteousness in Jesus is very important to enable you to walk in and enforce the triumph Jesus has won for you. “For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:3.
True knowledge of Me and My Son multiplies grace and peace in your life. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” 2 Peter 1:2-3. To know Me even as I know you is the treasure and power of your life. Friends know each other and I call those who know Me “friends,” and to My friends I reveal things that I cannot to others who do not value them.
People who know Me become leaders who do good and lead people to Me. They shine in the dark world. Consider the life of Samuel. Samuel at first did not know Me, even though his mother, Hannah, had dedicated him to Me and he was being raised by the priests in My sanctuary pitched at Shiloh, but the priests ministering there did not know Me and My Word was rare in those days, and no visions were spread abroad. 1 Samuel 3:1. In other words, there was no knowledge of My Word, they were ignoring it and not teaching it, and without My Word there was no revelation or vision. My people perish for lack of knowledge of My Word. Hosea 4:6. No Word, no light, and the people will starve in the inner man. Even though the high priest at that time, Eli, was physically very overweight, He was starving from not taking in My Word. He was hanging onto traditions of rituals but nullifying My Word by the lifestyle he permitted in his sons as priests, “these are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.” Colossians 2:23.
So at first under Eli and his sons, Samuel, though dedicated to Me and being raised in My house, did not know Me because the so-called “religious” people training him did not know Me. But I saw his heart that was seeking Me and He got to know Me by My Word and became a leader that led the nation, which had gone astray not knowing My Word, back to Me. I could talk things over with Samuel and he honored Me. “The Lord revealed Himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the Lord.” 1 Samuel 3:21.
Just put things in My hands and then do not fuss about them anymore. Just do what I tell you and show you. Like the Centurion whose boy was so ill. He went to Jesus and handed it over to Him, saying, “just say the word, and my boy will be healed.” Matthew 8:8. He knew that Jesus had authority. And that was all it took for a wonderful healing. Great faith.
And now I would like to have you consider Potiphar and the chief jailor in their dealings with Joseph. Consider Joseph’s life as prophetic of Jesus—betrayed and sold by his brothers, he takes the form of a slave and is emptied of all, he is given a gentile bride, and feeds the gentiles with the bread of life, and all bow as he rides by, and only Pharaoh, who is a father to him, is higher. And what happens? All Israel comes to him but does not know him at first, but when they come close, they see the one saving them is their brother. Joseph is the savior in their time of famine of the lives of the gentiles and the Jews so they can live and not die, and he brings them together under his authority.
I tell you that I was with Joseph in his slavery and jail time, and his master, Potiphar, and the chief jailor recognized this. Let Me show you what it caused them to do, and you should learn from them to do the same with Jesus.
Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an Egyptian officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the bodyguard, bought him from the Ishmaelites, who had taken him down there. I was with Joseph (“And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” John 8:29), so he became a prosperous man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. Now his master saw that I was with him and how I caused all that he did to prosper in his hand (“He has done all things well.” Mark7:37; “And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.” Isaiah 53:10). So Joseph found favor in his sight (“This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mathew 3:17; “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52) and became his personal servant (“By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities.” Isiah 53:11); and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he owned he put in his charge (“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.” John 3:35). “It came about that from the time he made him overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; thus the LORD’s blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field. So he left everything he owned in Joseph’s charge; and with him there he did not concern himself with anything except the bread which he ate.” Genesis 39:1-6.
There are many lessons here, but just focus on the attitude of Potiphar to Joseph. The more he got to know Joseph, the more of his possessions and life he entrusted to his care, until he finally left all his concerns in Joseph’s charge so he could take care of them for him and they prospered in Joseph’s hand. Potiphar only concerned himself with the bread that he ate.
Do you see? The more you know Me, the one true God and the one I sent, Jesus Christ, the more you will entrust to Me of your life, until finally your only concern is with what you are eating, that is, hearing and reading, for man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word from My mouth. Just concern yourself with the food (Words) you eat (like Jeremiah, who when My Words were found he devoured them and they became the treasure and delight of his heart). And the more of My Word you take in and chew (mediate) on, the more you will know Me and the more you will be willing to cast all your cares on Me, and once you have put all you are and have in My hands, you will not be anxious or fuss and fret about them anymore but know that I am acting on your behalf to make all things work together for your good and for your prosperity, just as Potiphar knew about Joseph.
“Do not fret because of evildoers, be not envious toward wrongdoers. For they will wither quickly like the grass and fade like the green herb. Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and forsake wrath; do LORD, they will inherit the land.” Psalm 37:1-9.
Ruth came to Israel from Moab to take refuge under My wings, and there she sought the covering of Boaz, and he did not delay, but acted quickly on her behalf, just as Jesus does for you. In Him you are shielded from wrath and made perfect and fruitful.
My desire is that all people be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. My Word is truth. Abide, continue, remain in My Word and you are truly My disciples and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Knowing Me, sets you free. And whom My Son sets free is free indeed—of every work of the devil.
Entrust your body to Me and follow as I direct you for good health. I gave the Israelites directives as to healthy food and unclean food. It is not sin now to eat them but the rules for your best health have not changed. Input gives output. The glutton and the drunkard are not free and you are destroying the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you are. Let Me take care of you and remember that My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Make sure My Word is the biggest part of your diet throughout the day.
I have given you the way, the truth, and the life in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And He has told you to come to Him and learn from Him. What are you waiting for? There is no other way to Me, no other way to knowing Me and all I am and have for you, except through Jesus. I Myself teach you through one like you, My Son. He is Son of God and Son of Man. He is your teacher, your good shepherd, your bread, and your great High Priest.
When you put yourself and all you have in His hands, you are putting them in Mine. We are one. And you cannot know Me without Him, and you cannot know Him without Me.
Do not worry about tomorrow, you are building tomorrow today, and if you are building in Me with My Word, your tomorrow will be good. Your life will be filled with good days and your sleep will be sweet. The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. Let your life be filled with fullness of days.
I love you. If you know Me, you will trust Me, and when you trust Me, I act. And then you have a triumphant life. Entrust your plans to Me and they will succeed. I am faithful, I am true, slow to anger, and filled with love for you. It is your best interests that are in My heart. Entrust your life to your faithful creator. I made you for just this time and just this place, a place called grace.
You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples. Psalm 77:14.
