Bright eyes gladden the heart; good news puts fat on the bones. Proverbs 15:30.
God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. Genesis 1:31.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Good news makes your bones strong. Proverbs 15:30. Taste and see My goodness. Psalm 34:8. My people will be filled to overflowing with My goodness. Jeremiah 31:14. “Only goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23:6. I sent My Son to preach good news to you. Luke 4: 18; Isaiah 61:1. “Those who seek the LORD want for no good thing.” Psalm 34:10. “How much more will your Father who is in Heaven, give what is good to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:11. “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7.
Good news gives you joy and My joy is your strength. A cheerful heart does good like a medicine. I anointed Jesus with the oil of joy. And that same anointing is on you, it runs down from the head to the body. It goes down into your bones and every part of you. But the opposite is true too. Jealousy and envy rot the bones and a depressed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 14:30; Proverbs 17:22. And cursing goes like oil into your bones. “But he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, and it entered into his body like water and like oil into his bones.” Psalm 109:18.
When I made the universe and world and all that is contained therein, I did not stop until I saw it was not only good, but very good. Genesis 1:31.
You were made to live on goodness. You were made to feed on goodness. You were made to be filled with goodness. You were made to overflow with goodness. And what is the source of all that flow of goodness? I am. I alone am good and I share that goodness with you. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from Me, your father of lights. James 1:17. And how do I give you that goodness? In My Word. Man does not live on bread alone by on every Word from My mouth. My mouth is all sweetness. My Words are sweeter than honey in the honeycomb. Meditate and ponder on My Words, chew on them, “pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24. My Words give life and health. Proverbs 4:22. And that is good. Everything in you can be filled with goodness. “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and ALL that is within me, bless His Holy Name.” I fill your days with good things so your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
But how do you fill your spirit, soul, and body with goodness each day so that you build a framework of goodness for your life, a house of goodness, My house, where you and I dwell forever. My house is filled with good things. “How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You to dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.” Psalm 65:4. And now you are My house, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit if you have been born again from above by receiving Jesus as Lord.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool. If you are willing and hear and obey (shama), you will eat the good (טוּב) of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 1:18-20.
Obedience to My Word is the key to goodness. Adam disobeyed My Word and that caused him to choose evil over good and the glory left him and he was naked. And he result? Fear came. But I did not give you a spirit of fear, that is from another realm, the realm of darkness. And “you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light; for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth.” Ephesians 5:8-9. Get in the Light. And where does the Light come from in your life today? From My Word. The entrance of My Word gives light. For you have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19.
When Moses asked Me to show him My Glory, I answered by defining My Glory as My goodness. It is the manifestation of My goodness that makes you say, “Glory to God!” I told My people I was redeeming them out of slavery to take them to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. A place where they would be filled with goodness.
You will notice in My work of creation of the world and all it contains; I did not put man here first and then make everything as your need developed. No, not at all. First, I made all the world, indeed the universe, and filled it with everything you could ever need, saw it was good, and then I put you in it to cultivate and guard it. I built everything first, then I gave it over to you in all its goodness.
Good days are days filled with My presence. Bad days are days without Me. Those who seek Me want no good thing. Unless I build the house, they labor in vain who build it.
Study the Bible. Those who obeyed and loved My Words had lives filled with goodness. Those who refused to obey and rebelled cut their lives short and were unhappy. It really is not hard to see that and take it to heart.
I am good. You conquer evil with good. If you desire good days, then keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies and seek peace and pursue it. In other words, keep, guard, speak, and do My Word and you will overflow with good days.
Many do not believe in My goodness though they have seen My Works. The Israelites I redeemed out of Israel never entered My rest because they doubted My goodness. They saw Me as a threat rather than a blessing. How do you see Me? They blocked My goodness because they did not believe in it though they had been recipients of it every day.
What is My goodness? How do you define it? My goodness is My love in action. Love heals you, love protects you, love provides for you, love blesses you, and love saves you. Goodness is a fruit fo love. Love is the root, goodness is the fruit.
My goodness is not that you have done great things for Me, but that I have done great things for you. Love then consists in this: not that you have loved Me but that I have loved you and given Myself to you. How? By giving you My Son as propitiation for your sins that you might live your life through Him.
When will YOU ever be able to comport yourself in a way that is in keeping with My mercy? Comport means to “conduct oneself, behave, accord with, agree with.” If you are in shame, blame and frustration at yourself and others than you cannot receive My goodness. You are blocking it out. You are not in agreement with My goodness. DO YOU REALLY KNOW IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU ARE FORGIVEN OF EVERYTHING? There is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus and your sins and offenses I remember NO MORE. He is able to save to the uttermost for all eternity. And that is goodness.
I love you. Taste and see My goodness. Fill yourself with it. Wash yourself in it. See yourself in the mirror of My Word and be filled with My goodness.
And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. For He has had regard for the humble state of His handmaid; for behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed. For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name. And His mercy is upon generation after generation toward those who fear Him. He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart. He has brought down rulers from their thrones, and has exalted those who were humble. He has filled the hungry with good things; and sent away the rich empty-handed. He has given help to Israel His servant, in remembrance of His mercy, as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants forever.” Luke 1:46-55.
