And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard. Colossians 1:21-23.
Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to You, O LORD; for although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:1-2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Under the New Covenant, you take My forgiveness the same way you take your healing, prosperity, and protection—by faith. And you will receive and hold on to it according to your faith. It is there for you and I will never revoke it, but for you to enjoy it and have peace about it, you must take it and hold onto it by faith. “And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard.” Colossians 1:21-23.
You must not only believe you are forgiven, you must go beyond that, to the place of grace that you access by faith where you know your sins are not just forgiven but are gone before Me. Like it never happened in your life. Otherwise you will slip into wondering if you are forgiven and you will be unable to have peace about it or to believe you still can enter your Promised Land. You will remember how Moses and the Israelites were both locked out of the Promised Land, so to speak, by their rash words and actions. And you will remember that for Esau there was no place of repentance. They all got locked out by their sin, like Adam. But My Son made peace between us—perfect peace—by the blood of His Cross. His death and resurrection not only opens your Promised Land (your assignment and your destiny) to you but He reopens the way to the Eden blessing. He came to undo the works of the devil in your life and the lives of all mankind from the first sin until now. But if you don’t believe that, you will never receive that. Not because it is shut by Me but because you have shut yourself out while all the time you had the key: faith. And faith is believing in your heart and speaking with your mouth. It is voice activated and it comes by hearing the Word concerning Christ. And actually all of My Word testifies to Christ, the Holy Spirit testifies to Christ and all My Words are Spirit breathed. And the Holy Spirit testifies to you that in Christ your sins and offenses I remember NO MORE. Hebrews 10:17.
“But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” Romans 3:21-26. Yes, to the one who believes that I justify the ungodly in Jesus, his faith is credited as righteousness. Romans 4:5.
Paul understood and was awed and overjoyed at the revelation of the gift of righteousness by faith in Christ and the complete cancelation of your sins in Him. He told the Jews in the synagogue at Antioch, “Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him [Jesus] forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.” Acts 13:38-39. And Peter preached the same to the gentiles at the home of Cornelius, “Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.” Acts 10:43.
“When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14.
My Will, My heart’s desire, is that all be saved and come to know the truth, that all are healed, that all are prospering, and I have given you the grace for all this in Jesus, for in Him I have found your ransom, but it only happens in your life according to your faith. In the Old Covenant you received blessings by your righteous deeds in obeying the Law, in the New Covenant you receive blessings by faith. But once you receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness by faith, you find yourself freed from sin and living righteously so that you reign in life through Christ Jesus. Romans 5:17. You will no longer desire to live in evil deeds but will walk uprightly in the land of the living knowing who you are in Christ. Grace teaches and enables you to live godly lives. In fact Peter tells you that if you are not living a virtuous life now that you are saved you have forgotten your purification from your former sins. 2 Peter 1:9.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10. Grace enables you to walk in the life of good deeds I prepared for you in Christ Jesus. Why? It frees you from the encumbrances of your past sins that would hold you back in fear, shame, and blame, like it did Adam, but though sin and death came on all through the sin of the one man, Adam, resulting in condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness by the One Man Jesus Christ, there resulted justification of life to all men. Romans 5:18. “For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ your Lord. Romans 5:19-21.
Do you recall that when they brought the crippled man on the mat to Jesus and lowered him through the roof seeking his healing, Jesus saw their faith, and to everyone’s surprise He did not tell the man he was healed but told him that his sins were forgiven. The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” But Jesus, aware of their reasonings, answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—He said to the paralytic—“I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher and go home.” Immediately he got up before them, and picked up what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God. Luke 5:21-25.
Do you see? All is “yes” to you in Jesus and you take all that I give you in, through and by Him by faith, whether it be forgiveness, healing, provision, protection, deliverance, and a host of other good things. And how to you know what you have in Him? By reading, hearing, speaking and knowing My Word, which is Spirit and Life, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12. You must walk by faith and not by sight to receive all I have for you, for you cannot see forgiveness with your natural mind or five senses, but with your spirit by faith you can receive a revelation of the ENORMITY of what I have done for you in Christ. To the world it will seem nonsense but not to you who have My Spirit in you and upon you.
Today, through faith in Jesus, you have a place of repentance, redemption, and restoration. One slip into sin, or even multiple ones, will not keep you out of your promised land. Look at Peter. He denied My Son three times but once Jesus died and I raised Him from the dead, it was as if it never happened. Jesus told him, “Shalom.” All is well, forgiven, and gone. Peter, unlike Moses, did not lose completing his assignment, he went on to live a most amazing life filled with My favor, miracles, and great fruit. I even allowed him to make good the words he had promised Jesus that night that he denied him, “Even if I have to die, I will never deny you.” When his race was completed and he had done all the work I gave him to do, he got to fulfill his word and make it true. And a crown of life awaited him.
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-19. And how did I do it? Justly. I put all your sins on Him and let divine judgment fall on Him as your scape goat, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
I am no longer holding your sins against you. I told the Israelites in the desert that they had defied Me ten times and that they would never enter My rest. I told Moses I would remember what they had done. But now I remember your sins and lawless deeds NO MORE. Gone, borne by My Son and you are free. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. He came to set the captives free. So do not return to slavery a second time by staying in your sins and guilt. They are gone. You can run forward forgetting what lies behind. I have.
Take your forgiveness by faith right now. By faith in the One who loves you and gave His life for you. Do not treat My gracious gift to you of My Son as pointless. It is enormously important for your inner peace and joy that you receive what He has done for you by faith. The minute you fall into sin, confess it to Me and I am holy and just to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness, for I have already punished your sin on Jesus.
Your sins are gone. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. You and I are reconciled as one in Him. He unites God and man.
Jesus takes you back to the Garden of Eden like you were never put out and access blocked. Jesus changes everything. No one could enter My Kingdom of Heaven until He paid the penalty for your sins.
Today you are not locked out of your destiny for your sins, wrong thoughts, wrong words, or your failures. Jesus took them and He took the lock out and went to hell. But when I raised Him, He took the keys to hell and the nether world away from Satan and crushed his power over those who are in Christ Jesus by faith. He opened the Way to Heaven when I raise Him from the dead. He had paid in full and enough was more than enough. You are now justified.
I love you. Take My forgiveness of your sins by faith and hold on to it by faith. Do not keep begging Me to forgive a sin you did twenty years ago, or even one you did today. If you repented and took hold of My forgiveness by faith, I have cleansed you by the Blood of My Son and all your unrighteousness is gone. As far as the east is from the west. Rejoice and let the redeemed say so. Because of eternity, your dreams do not have an expiration date. They are all still there for you.
For this is like the days of Noah to Me, when I swore that the waters of Noah would not flood the earth again; so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you nor will I rebuke you. Isaiah 54:9.
