Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
How do you live a perfect life? I know you all want to do so but when you see yourself, it seems unattainable—like what entering the Promised Land looked like to the Israelites redeemed out of Egypt when they first spied it out. But I had told them I would fight for them and they could take it with Me. But they kept looking at themselves and not at Me no matter what I did to get their attention.
To live the perfect life you must first set your eyes off yourself and set them on Me. Jesus told you to be perfect as I am perfect. So the secret is to imitate Me as My dear children. And though you cannot now see Me as you would another person in the flesh, you can see Me in My Word for I am My Word and My Word became flesh and dwelt among you and you have seen Him and your hands touched Him and He reached out to touch and heal you. And in seeing Him, you are seeing Me. He is the exact representation of My being and the radiance of My glory. From Him I shine forth on you in goodness, power, and present help. So keep your eyes on Jesus, i.e., on My Word, and do whatever He tells you for He speaks My Words. I now speak to you through My Son, which is merely saying through My Word. “Imitate me,” said Paul, “as I imitate Christ.” And in imitating Christ, he was imitating Me.
And there is more, for I have given you Jesus so that you might live your life through Him. You reign in life with Him. You do not walk the perfect life on your own. You have one who strengthens you and leads you in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.
So consider Jesus, the apostle and High Priest of your confession (homologia: speaking the same in agreement with Him), and do as He tells you. He is your teacher.
Now what does My Word tell you about Me? For Jesus only spoke My Words and did My works.
The Bible tells you that I cannot lie and I hate lies. Thus to imitate Me you have to put away from you the spirit of lying. It is lawlessness. Speak the truth to one another and to Me. Once Adam submitted to the devil, he could not tell the truth. He evaded it. He never answered My question as “yes” or “no” of whether he had eaten of the tree from which I forbade him to eat. All he did was blame Me and Eve for his behavior.
I do good and not evil. “Turn from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it,” sang David. And Jesus went about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil.
I am love. I think in love, talk in love, and walk in love. Everything else is foreign to Me and finds no entrance into Me or My Kingdom. And if you imitate Me as My dear children, you too walk in love. And how does love look? “Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. And the result? Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:8. And where do you get this love? From Me. I pour My love into your heart by My gift to you of the Holy Spirit when you believe in Jesus as Lord. I promised that. As I foretold to My prophet Ezekiel. I would give you a new heart and put My Spirit in your heart so you could keep My law of love. You are born again of love, so as a new creation that is in you and you will not be happy until you let it flow.
I am a God of peace and not confusion. Stop saying you are stressed and do not know what to do. That is a lie. If you are a believer, you have My Spirit in you to guide you to all truth, lead you in the way you should go on level ground, and to teach you all things and remind you of all I have said. If you are not yielding to this by faith it is your own fault. You have My Spirit, do not grieve Him by giving Him no place in your life. You just have to receive this by faith and start walking in love. The rest will follow. It did for Philip. Acts 8.
In Me there is no darkness, I am light. That means all that is within Me is pure. There is nothing that needs to hide in darkness. Open up to the light, the light will cleanse you. No follower of Mine walks in darkness for if you walk before and with Me then in My light you see light. Let My Face shine on you in Christ Jesus. Look at Jesus and your eyes will be right and your body will be filled with light, as when a lamp illumines a dark place. If you only look at yourself and your lusts you will be in darkness, and how deep that darkness will be. But My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. I give you Jesus, who is the Light of the world and no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the light of life. Why? Nothing but light comes from Him so if you are following Him you too will be in the light and will be a light to others.
In Jesus, I make you perfect by His sacrifice of Himself on the Cross as your substitute. He makes you perfect with His own perfection.
But I will now tell you the best way to walk with and imitate Me. I respond to you with compassion. Go and do the same. For you that is perhaps My greatest attribute, that I am not counting your trespasses against you but have reconciled you to Myself in compassion. Jesus is My compassion reaction. What you could not do in your flesh weakened by sin and the corruption passed down from Adam, I did for you in Jesus out of compassion. It is like the parable of the good Samaritan that My Son told to show what love of neighbor was about. It is about treating others with compassion to pull them out of their pits. Not to leave them there by agreeing with them, that is not compassion, but to pull them out with compassion into salvation. I do not hold your sins against you, I take them away and set you on the right path of beauty, trust, sanctification, redemption and wisdom. I did not send My Son to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through Him. And as I sent Him, He sends you. Jesus looked at the people with compassion or they were like sheep without a shepherd, and so are many people living ugly lives today. Give them Jesus to lead them out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Faith pleases Me. Take My promises by faith and be happy that you have them. Do not doubt. By faith take healing, take forgiveness, take My righteousness, take wisdom, take purity, take provision, take doing all things well, take prosperity, take favor, take divine health, take strength and vigor, take sanctification, take direction, take correction, take protection, take deliverance, take the Blessing, take territory for the Kingdom. I have promised you all these things. By faith take all I have given you. It is time to rise up out of your dust and shake off the chains and take all that I have given you freely in Christ. Speak it out and shout for joy at all that is yours. Beautiful indeed is your inheritance.
A perfect life is one that is free from sin. Sin is lawlessness with a spirit of disobedience. Actions done without faith in defiance of My Word are sin. Adam could have lawfully eaten from any tree of all the thousands of the garden, and he did, but out of defiance to My Word he ate from the tree I had told him NOT to eat from or he could surely die the death.
A perfect life is a life lived to please Me due to a loving awareness of My presence that you purposely foster by faith and keeping My Words out of loyalty to the One who gives you life. Like Jacob’s son Joseph. He would not sin with Potiphar’s wife because he refused to sin before Me. He lived his life with his mind actively working on an awareness of My presence with him and I was with Joseph to promote and bless him in whatever he did. The best way to refuse sin is to develop a continuous consciousness of being with Me, that is, in My presence, at all times. I told Abraham to walk before Me and be blameless. Aware of Me and in My light you will be careful how you walk.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they acted as if I was not there. They forgot My presence and thought they could hide their actions from before Me. They forgot the God who made them. And that is what people do when they do sins under the cover of darkness. They think I do not see or else they just forget I am even there. But I fill all in all.
David was always seeking My presence, with Me at his right hand he was not disturbed by anything. He said that the one thing he sought was to be continually in My presence. And when he forgot I was there and sinned with Bathsheba his urgent prayer was to not cast him out of My presence and not to take My Holy Spirit from him.
Stay in My presence and be aware of My loving eyes upon you. Keep your eyes on My eyes so I can direct you by My eye in the way to go at all times. Seek My Face. And then you will live a perfect life. That was the Blessing I taught Moses for Aaron to say to the people—My Face shining upon them.
I love you. As long as Peter kept His eyes on Jesus he walked on the water, but when he took them off he sank. If David had kept his eyes on Me and off Bathsheba on her roof, he never would have sinned. If you only look at yourself and others, you will bring yourself to ruin. But if you only look to Me, you will discover the champion you really are. And your life will be perfect.
