It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. John 6:63

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:11-13.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

With all diligence guard your heart for from it goes forth life. Proverbs 4:23. The flesh is useless to give life, it is the Spirit that gives life, and it is My Spirit dwelling in your spirit that gives life to your mortal body and gives you resurrection life. Romans 8:11. To every person on earth I have given a body and into that I have breathed a spirit and a soul. And whether you have a strong spirit or not depends on the diligence with which you guard your heart. By heart, I mean the inner man of the heart, which is your spirit. It is the place within where we communicate Spirit to spirit. And your spirit speaks what has come from Me to your soul, and then the life of it goes out to quicken your mortal body.

A strong spirit will get your through anything as an overcomer. A weak spirit, a broken spirit, or a depressed spirit will dry up your bones and you will be open to disease and infirmity.
One believes in the heart, that is, your spirit. The very core of you is spiritual, not physical. No X-ray or ultrasound or MRI can show the spirit or the soul, but if they leave the body to go on to eternity the body dies and lies an empty shell and no amount of treatments or procedures can make that flesh live unless I breathe a spirit and soul into it.

My apostle Paul, to whom I revealed much by My Spirit, wrote for your edification, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:11-13.
Do you see? Your flesh is not your master that you should obey its lusts, emotions, and desires. Your flesh is your slave. It is your vehicle by which you get your spirit and soul around on this earth. Your flesh should be carrying out the orders of your spirit and soul and not vice versa.

It is your spirit and soul you must protect above all to have a healthy, strong body and joy unspeakable filled with glory. The health, provision, and emotional stability of your body do not come from the outside but from within. My Spirit is at work in you to will and to do and you have only to work it out.

Most people are more outward minded than inward minded. And by that I mean they are more swayed in what they think and do, and more conscious of, outward influences upon them then what My Spirit is doing and saying within them. This is living based upon your five physical senses only. But you who honor My Name do not want to just live in the noise of the outer court, which is walking according to the flesh, but in the inmost sanctuary, the Holy of Holies, where you are in constant communication with Me, which is walking in the spirit.

It is the Spirit that gives life and so you do not want to only obey your flesh and its tendency to addictions, emotional instability, and fickle commitments. Obeying all the whims of your flesh will result only in death, because that is the ultimate end of your mortal fleshly body anyway. The dust will return to the dust from which it came and the spirit and the soul will return to Me who gave them. So in or out of your mortal flesh you are with Me and all are alive to Me. In life or death of your body on earth you are Mine. You really do not owe your body any servitude for it has nothing to give you other than being a vessel to house the treasure of your immortal spirit and soul while on earth. Your body will not go to the heavenly Kingdom, flesh and blood cannot inherit My Kingdom for they are perishable, being from Adam’s seed, but your born-again spirit, born of the imperishable seed of My Word, is imperishable and ready for the Kingdom.

Many people today are working very hard to exercise and feed their body into health, strength, and fitness, and this is not a bad idea for you need a healthy body to function at your maximum, but if they have not fed and exercised their spirit, the body will not stay strong and cannot stand up against the attacks of the evil one, for he also is spirit. A weak spirit cannot get you through an attack from the outside of sickness, emotional or mental anxiety or depression, or thoughts of guilt and shame. For these attacks, you need a strong spirit that has been well fed in My Word, which is truth, and has exercised by speaking to the attacks that come to take them down. You need to know how to bind and loose. But above all, you need My Spirit dwelling in you giving life to your mortal body and revealing mysteries to you. And that will only come if you have been born again by taking Jesus as Lord.
Paul counseled Timothy in this and it is the same for you, “In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily exercise is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.” 1 Timothy 4:6-10.

So how do you get a strong spirit? By feeding on My Word and speaking My Word. And that is the spirit of faith—filling your heart with My Word by reading, hearing, and meditating My Word until it so fills your heart that it comes out your mouth as naturally in any situation as breathing. Your first words in any storm will be Mine, resisting the devil and putting him to flight. A life built on the rock of My Word does not go down in a storm no matter how fierce it blows. My Word make all and sustains all. And the angels will obey the voice of My Word. So speak healing, provision, prosperity, peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation as you speak the truth in love to edify, exhort, and encourage. Program your mind in My Word. That is the very best operative system and it will boost your immune system, make strong bones, and remove all guilt and shame.

And here is the formula for a strong spirit: First, believe in your heart I raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. Next, do what is written in Proverbs 4:20-27, Psalm 1:1-3, Joshua 1:7-9, and Philippians 4:4-8, all of which I will quote here for your easy reference:

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; turn your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27.

“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:1-3

“Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:4-9.

I love you. And that is why I give you My Word and My Spirit so you can live a beautiful life, the most beautiful life ever lived. Guard your heart.
