Let the peace of Christ act as umpire in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15.

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. Romans 16:20.

He Himself is our peace. Ephesians 2:14.

The LORD said to him, “Peace to you, do not fear; you shall not die.” Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD and named it The LORD is Peace. Judges 6:23-24.

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation but take courage; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27. Those are My Words spoken to you by Jesus the night before I reconciled you to Myself and made peace between us through the Blood of His Cross. I have given you the double portion of peace I spoke of through My prophet Isaiah. Isaiah 26:3-4. I keep in shalom, shalom (the double portion of the firstborn) those who have their minds stayed on Me, because of your trust in Me, for I am your everlasting Rock. And the house built on the Rock will withstand any storm, and still be standing in perfect peace when the storm has passed by. And pass by it will and you will have the victory.

Today, I continue and conclude the life lessons on how to enforce the victory that I have already given you in Christ Jesus your Lord. When you already have the victory, you can have peace in troubled waters. And that is Life Lesson No. 9: The Umpire is Peace.

Let the peace of Christ act as umpire (in Greek, brabeuó: to act as umpire) in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15.

An umpire is one having authority to decide finally a controversy or question between parties. Most commonly the word is used in reference to an official in a sport who rules on the plays. Let peace rule in your heart and in your life. And when peace is your umpire, you look at everything from the stance of victory and you will stay calm despite the “plays” of the devil. You will have peace in the midst of a storm, like My servant Paul in the violently tossed boat when the storm seemed only to get worse with no end in sight. And, of course, like My Son in the storm on the lake sleeping peacefully on a cushion while the disciples went into a panic. And when the disciples woke Him, asking Him to save them, what did He do? He spoke peace to the winds and waves and all was calm. The Umpire of peace, the Prince of Peace, had rendered the decision on the judgment call. Umpires are responsible for enforcing on-field rules and rendering decisions on judgment calls. And the devil has already been judged, found guilty, and condemned. John 16:11, Daniel 7:21-22; Revelation 18:20. And you, who are in Christ Jesus, have been judged not guilty and there is now no condemnation for you who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1, 33-34.

And today, you who believe, you have Christ in you, your hope of glory. Jesus is in your boat, so to speak, so you have nothing to fear, you have His peace as His gift to you. John 14:27. Have you received the gift of peace by faith? Or are you allowing your heart to be troubled and afraid? It is time to renew your mind to peace. And you can only do that if you know and believe that you already have the victory. If you are still begging Me for it in constant agitation, you have not received the victory that is already yours and until you do it will not come to pass in your life. And that is why many people are saying I have not responded to their prayers, but actually I already gave them what they are asking for when Christ finished the work I gave Him to do, they just have to receive it and enforce it by faith. And when you understand this, it will change the way you pray. Have you ever considered Paul’s prayers that he wrote to the believers in his letters to the churches? Let Me just share with you a few of them: “For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:15-23. You do not see him begging I give you the victory, he is praying you will be enlightened to and have revelation of who you are and what you have in Christ– your calling, the riches of glory of your inheritance, and resurrection power working in you. And in the same letter he prays again for revelation of what you have in Christ, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:14-21. Again, he is praying that you know who you are in Christ, know His love and be filled with all My fullness.

The devil has been defeated by My Son. “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.” Hebrews 2:14-15. And again, “When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through the Cross.” Colossians 2:13-15. The devil has been judged and condemned. John 16:11. And in Jesus, you have the victory, the winning verdict and judgment, and are being led in triumph by your great good Shepherd. You have what could be called a binding judgment against the devil. It cannot be appealed or undone. So bind the strongman so you can plunder his house and take back all he has stolen. Take the victory in peace as it is legally yours by the judgment of the Highest Court and the supreme and only Judge. “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us.” Isaiah 33:22.

Be at peace. I have already judged in your favor. You have the victory over sin and death, over the devil, over the curse, over every weapon formed against you. You are in good hands. The hands that formed you, the hands that protect you (there is no snatching out of My hands), the hands that heal you, the hands that embrace you (My left hand under your head and My right hand around you), and the hands that were nailed to the Cross for you, pierced for your sins. The blood on your hands went onto His hands. Isaiah 1:15-16 (“Yes, even though you multiply prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.”) I have hold of your hand, and though your sins were red as crimson, I made them white as snow. Isaiah 1:18. Be at peace, I have cleansed you in the blood of My Son. You are now beyond reproach. The accuser has no case on you. He already lost it and was judged guilty and you were acquitted by the blood of Jesus, your advocate.

Listen to what I proclaim, for I proclaim peace to My godly ones. Do not turn back to folly. Psalm 85:8. For righteousness and peace have kissed in Jesus, and you have kissed the Son. Psalm 85:10; Psalm 2:12; Song of Songs 1:2. He is your peace.

There is great joy and peace in believing, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13. Hope is the confident expectation of good, and faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Agitation and anxiety are not the expectation of good but of evil. An agitated person is confused and dismayed. I am a God of peace, not of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33. Satan is the author of confusion. “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” Romans 16:20. “Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:2-21.

If you really know Me and know My Name, you will have peace beyond understanding that will guard your heart and mind and give you confidence of the victory. When you know Me as the LORD your healer, then symptoms, attacks, and warnings of sickness, disease, plagues, and pandemics cause you no fear because you have a healer and by the stripes of Jesus you have been healed. Just take it and enforce it. If you know Me as the LORD who sees ahead and provides, and as the LORD your Shepherd, you do not fear lack or loss of direction and care. And if you know Me as your Father you have no fear of being without any good thing or having unanswered prayer.

Jesus came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him you have access in one Spirit to Me. Ephesians 2:17-18.

When you encounter various trials, be quick to cast all of the care of them on Me. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7. Enter My rest and enforce the victory from there. And that is peace.

I love you. I will never leave you or forsake you and I am your peace. When you already have been given the victory, you can have peace in troubled waters. Let the peace of Christ act as umpire in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:15. Shalom.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
