Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Today I want to talk to you about your assets, that is, things both spiritual and physical. “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.” James 1:17-18.
But what is your MOST important asset? What is it that is established forever in Heaven, is better than heaps of fine gold and is sweeter than honey dripping from the comb? What gives life to you, heals your bodies, gives new birth to you, delivers you from destruction, and contains all treasures of wisdom and knowledge? Man does not live on bread alone (all the riches the world has to offer) BUT on EVERY WORD that comes from My mouth. It is My Word. Everything was made by it, is sustained by it, and lives because of it. My Words are words of eternal life. My Words contain power. My Words contain My faith. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.” Psalm 119:89. Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” Matthew 5:17-18. “Of old I have known from Your testimonies that You have founded them forever.” Psalm 119:152. “The sum of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.” Psalm 119:160.
If you have My Word, you have everything you need for life and godliness both now and for eternity. Everything depends on My Word. And I have given My Words, I have entrusted My Words, to you. “I have put My Words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand.” Isaiah 51:16. “Your testimonies also are my delight; they are my counselors.” Psalm 119:24. My Words are your counselors, your protectors, and your teacher.
Your greatest asset is My Word. It has the power to save your soul and to open to you eternal life. You are born again of My incorruptible, imperishable Word and you become a temple of My Holy Spirit who shares with you My thoughts and Words. He guides you to all truth and My Word is truth. My Word sanctifies you in truth and washes your mind clean so that you are pure of heart.
How can you keep your way pure with so many unclean spirits in the world today, let loose by the openness of people who do not know My Word and walk in the lusts of their flesh? By keeping it according to My Word. Psalm 119:9. “With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” Psalm 119:10-11. And there you see the answer, the antidote to sinful conduct, storing My Word in your heart as a priceless treasure. “Those who love Your law have great peace, and nothing causes them to stumble.” Psalm 119:165. My Word is a treasure of wisdom, knowledge, health, provision, and healing. “I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways.” Psalm 119:14-15.
As you read and meditate upon the Bible you should be searching out and finding treasure. My many magnificent promises are “yes” to you in Jesus, for He has reconciled you with Me and made you righteous with My own righteousness, and blessings are upon the head of the righteous. In My Word, I am speaking to you. “I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil.” Psalm 119:162. And every promise you find, agree that it is yours, thank Me, and take it as your own. My Word is full of good things for you. It is time you searched them out and received them all. Look upon them as your greatest assets. “For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. For, all flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word which was preached to you.” 1 Peter 1:23-25.
I beautify you with My Word, for My Word saves you and makes you a new creation in Christ. My Word cleanses you and My Word adorns you. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:25-27.
My Word is the rock foundation on which you build your life and no storm can then knock your life down. David loved My Word, it took him from a hillside watching his father’s few sheep, considered least in his family, to being the champion of Israel’s army, to being the shepherd of My people Israel as their beloved king. And he became the sweet psalmist of Israel, forever singing My praise. “Let my tongue sing of Your Word, for all Your commandments are righteousness.” Psalm 119:172. And of My Word he sang, “The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:7-11.
In times of trial and trouble, My Word is there to strengthen, comfort, and revive you. It is My Word that will lead you out of darkness to My wonderful light, for the revelation of My Word gives light and as you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciple and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. My Word frees you from guilt, shame, fear of death, lack, and all the tactics of the evil one. You can counter his lies only one way—by confronting him with the truth, which is My Word. “Remember the word to Your servant, in which You have made me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived me.” Psalm 119:49-50. “O may Your lovingkindness comfort me, according to Your Word to Your servant.” Psalm 119:76. “If Your law had not been my delight, then I would have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have revived me.” Psalm 119:92-93.
My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22. “You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word.” Psalm 119:65. My Words to you are full of benefits and promises of good things. “The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.” Psalm 119:72. “How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! From Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.” Psalm 119:103-104.
And My Word is the Light of the world, no follower of His shall ever walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of life. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105. “Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul observes them. The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 119:129-130.
I told Joshua that the way for him to walk successfully and to succeed in taking the Promised Land was by My Word—to ponder, meditate, speak, and keep My Word. Joshua 1:7-9. In fact, it was faith in My promises, it was My Word that kept him from dying with the rest of his generation in the desert and brought him into the Holy Land. And he found My Words went to work for him as he walked them out in faith.
“O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever mine. I have more insight than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged because I have observed Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word.” Psalm 119:97-101.
And My Word is a Sword, the Sword of the Spirit, that will take down every evil onslaught of the devil and heal your body down to the very joints and marrow. “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12. “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:17. And all of the armor I give you is based upon the Word, from the girdle of truth to the breastplate of righteousness and the shield of faith.
In the first parable Jesus told he explained to His disciples that the seed the sower was sowing was My Word and the soil in which it landed was people’s hearts. And for those who received it and cultivated it produced up to one hundred fold return. Yes, My Word is the most valuable asset you have for from it all else is produced.
When I give you My Word, I give you Myself. And that is the greatest asset of all. When I am with you who or what can come against you?
I love you. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. Take hold of that Word and do not let the devil steal it from your midst. It is the MOST important asset you have. It is the key to all.
