I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. Psalm 34:4-5.

It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him. Exodus 34:29.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Everything started in the Light. I did not create the earth and all it contains until I had sent forth My Light. In Me, in My Word is life, and the life is the Light of men. My beloved John wrote for your edification by My Spirit: “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5. This same apostle also revealed to you that, “God is love.” Love is the Light of your life. And in My Light you see Light. Psalm 36:9. The revelation (unfolding, opening) of My Word gives Light and understanding. Psalm 119:130. The fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth. Ephesians 5:9. Come into My Light, for all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. Ephesians 5:13. Walk in the Light with Me in the fellowship of prayer and you will become Light, for as you walk in fellowship with Me in Light the Blood of My Son continually cleanses you from all sin. 1 John 1:7.

Look to Me that your faces may be radiant, shining with My light, and never covered in shame. Psalm 34:5. And when I spoke, “Light be!” who was hovering there so I could breathe it forth? The Holy Spirit. And who is it that fills you with the Light of the Glory and quickens your mortal body with resurrection power? The Holy Spirit. I seal you in Christ with the seal of the Holy Spirit.

And as you behold Jesus in My Word and in prayer, who transforms you from glory to glory? My Spirit. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18.

As we continue and close our series, “LORD, teach us to pray,” we are on Life Lesson No. 9: “Glowing in Prayer.” In prayer I clothe you, fill you, cleanse you in Light. In prayer you become beautiful. In prayer, My face shines on you, My Word fills your heart, and you shine like luminaries in a dark world.

Prayer is regeneration, renewal, restoration, and revelation. And how is it you are regenerated, renewed, restored, and receive revelation? By My Holy Spirit. Regenerated and renewed: “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5 “You send forth Your Spirit, they are created (a new creation in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17); and You renew the face of the ground. Psalm 104:30. Restored: “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit.” Psalm 51:12. “O LORD God of hosts, restore us; cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.” Psalm 80:19. “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25. How? “I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on My menservants and maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29. “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11. And revelation: “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him. For to us God revealed them through the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. “But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” 2 Peter 1:20-21.

When Moses spent time with Me in prayer, his face became radiant, it shone with My light. “It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.” Exodus 34:29. But with Moses, as he went back about the affairs of his busy day guiding and governing a vast throng of generally obstinate people, the radiance faded. But that has changed. You who believe have Christ in you, your hope of GLORY, and I have poured My love into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Light now that lights up your countenance comes from the Light of the world who is in you by the in dwelling Holy Spirit. That is why Jesus counsels you not to hide the light in you under a bushel basket but to put it on a stand to light all in the house. The revelation of My Word gives light. Abiding in unceasing prayer shines the light and removes the veil that Satan would put over your mind as he did with Adam when he submitted himself to the realm of darkness. Satan blinds the minds of the unbelievers and takes them captive to do his will. But when you received Jesus and submitted yourself to His Lordship I rescued you from the power of darkness into the Kingdom of My beloved Son, the Kingdom of Light. Jesus lit your lamp, that is, your spirit, with the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit. And My Spirit will lead you to all truth and make you joyful in My house of prayer. My Light and fidelity will lead you to My holy mountain, Zion, to My dwelling place. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. And then, in My light you see light and you become light. “No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.” Luke 11:33-36.

Look for the radiant face. That is the one filled with faith and the Holy Spirit. A person of prayer in the Spirit. Do you remember Stephen? I identify him as a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit. Acts 6:5. And what do I tell you about his face? It was radiant with light, when he was called before the Sanhedrin to testify of Jesus, I tell you that, “And fixing their gaze on him, all who were sitting in the Sanhedrin saw his face like the face of an angel.” Acts 6:15. If you will note, when My holy angels make appearance they fill the room with light, they are spirits made of translucent, not transparent, light, white light. So Stephen’s face was “wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.” Luke 11:36.

And what was the sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit from when He fell on the believers at Pentecost until now? Praying in tongues.

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, with all prayer and petition, praying at all times in the Spirit.” Ephesians 6:17-18. What does it mean to pray in the Spirit? I tell you, “For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. What is the outcome then? I will pray with the Spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the Spirit and I will sing with the mind also.” 1 Corinthians 14:14-15. “For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but by the Spirit he speaks mysteries.” 1 Corinthians 14:2.

As you pray in tongues the one more powerful than you is praying in and for you, you know that you are praying perfect prayers and you will become radiant. “But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes (pulls the helm) for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:25-26. And as you pray in tongues, suddenly there will be a break through of living water flooding your souls from the fountain of your spirit, and you will find that you begin singing in the Spirit. “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 1speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” Ephesians 5:15-20. “I will pray with the Spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the Spirit and I will sing with the mind also.” 1 Corinthians 14:14-15.

“One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.” 1 Corinthians 14:4. You build up yourself in all your parts, for it is the spirit that gives life to your mortal bodies. “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts. These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting expectantly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.” Jude 1:18-21.

When you pray in tongues, your mind becomes clear to receive the communications from your spirit as you pray. In it is refreshment and rest, in it is cleansing and purity. It is there I can tell you great and mighty things you cannot know on your own for the Spirit searches all things, even My own deep thoughts. And you become more and more like Me. “We speak God’s wisdom in a mystery.” 1 Corinthians 2:7. “Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.” 1 Corinthians 2:11-13.

In prayer you join with the Divine Spirit in you and become an overcomer. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. “For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6. O LORD of hosts let Your face shine upon us and we shall be saved!

Praying in tongues gives you direct access to Me by the Holy Spirit and in that divine flow you are regenerated, renewed, restored, and receive divine revelation. You become radiant. Glowing in prayer.

I love you. Let Me hold you close. Be filled with My Spirit. Whoever joins with Me becomes one spirit with Me. It is very important to pray and it is very important to pray in tongues, especially now when there is so much deception in the world. Tongues is the only way you can pray the perfect prayer for the current time and build yourself up in your most holy faith, for when the Son of Man comes will He find any faith on the earth?
