The LORD will make you abound in prosperity. Deuteronomy 28:11.
If they hear and serve Him, They will end their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures. Job 36:11.
The LORD be magnified, who delights in the prosperity of His servant. Psalm 35:27.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I am the one who teaches you to profit and the way you should go. If you hear and obey My Words (and that is serving Me and living out your purpose), you will end your days in prosperity and your years in pleasures. Job 36:11. You will abound in prosperity if you diligently hear My Words and do them, being careful to walk in the way of My commands. Deuteronomy 28:1, 11. Jesus came to bring you life, abundant blessed life until it overflows. John 10:10.
It is time you did My Will and prospered. Your life is to be one of increase in good things and fruitful works, not decrease. If you are decreasing it is time for you to meet your great good Shepherd. And it is time that you learn from Me how to prosper and increase. And that is the series of life lessons we are beginning today: “How to Prosper and Increase.” But to cooperate and partner with Me in this, to be open to My instruction on how to profit so that in blessing I can bless you and in multiplying I can multiply you, you must have faith for this and receive it. If you do not know it is My Will for you to prosper and increase you will have a hardened heart and speak against prosperity and then there is not much I can do to prosper you since you have rejected knowledge. I told you that My people perish (are destroyed) for lack of knowledge, but then I explain that the problem is not a lack of available knowledge, for you have access to My written Word (the Bible), but that My people have rejected knowledge. If you believe that My Will for your life is poverty, and I do not know why you would believe that since I clearly identify that poverty is a curse and I do NOT curse you, you will spend your days in lack and really never be able to help others who are in need. Without faith you cannot receive from Me. Not because I do not want to give it but because you do not open to receive it. There is no conductor into you that My promise can flow upon. Jesus wanted to heal the people of Nazareth but He was unable to do so because of their lack of faith. It made Him marvel.
We will begin these instructions then with the foundation for all the lessons, “God’s Will is Prosperity.”
Let us start at the beginning. My first words when I created man were of blessing and prosperity, “God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28. And then I gave you the means with which to prosper and increase: seed. “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed. Genesis 1:29. All increase comes from seed, whether it be in the sense of agriculture, children, finances and investments, inventions, businesses, and I could go on. Each of those starts with a seed, whether it be a physical, biological seed, a seed of cash, gold or silver invested for interest, or the seed of an idea, plan, blueprint, vision, and whatever else is the beginning of the building, project, person, product, account, or produce.
And as the prototype I gave you a garden overflowing with abundance of good things. And I told you to cultivate and guard it. To replenish and grow. To spread out over the whole earth.
I did not make the earth to be a dry and barren waste, I made it to be filled with beauty and to be inhabited. A home for the family I created where they would take dominion and rule over the works of My hands.
Adam and Eve left My plan and went under the plan of the evil one. And theirs became lives of toil and sweat and survival rather than a life of fruitful abundance lived with Me in My rest as we partner in your prosperity. But the way I brought you back into line with My plan of prosperity and increase was by making covenant with you. It started with Noah, and then a descendant of Noah’s son Shem, Abraham, became a man who made covenant with Me and prospered beyond all he could have asked or imagined. And when I called him, he answered Me and began to walk with Me, to obey My voice, and follow My instructions on how to prosper by faith. And I described this life of prosperity to him as My blessing. And it became known as the Blessing of Abraham. And it first came upon his descendants and then, in Christ, it has gone out to everyone who believes in My Son, as did faithful Abraham. Galatians 3:8, 13-14. And My Blessing makes rich and adds no sorrowful toil with it. Proverbs 10:22. It is I who give you power to make wealth, that I may confirm My covenant which I swore to Abraham and his descendants (if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise, Galatians 3:29), as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word. My Words are Spirit and Life and they are filled with My faith. My Words are seeds that plant and grow. So receive the implanted Word which has the power to save your soul and to prosper you in the promise it contains.
So to build your faith in prosperity let Me share with you My Words on this subject.
Above all I desire that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. So prosperity and good health starts in your soul, that is, your mind, your will and your emotions. And your mind, that is what you are thinking upon and believing is true, controls what is going on in your emotions, your will, and your life. So it is important to renew your mind to know the truth. For if you read on in that passage you will see that this prosperity and good health comes from walking in the truth. 3 John 1:3. In fact, I have no greater joy than when My children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4. And what is truth? My Word is truth and it sanctifies you. John 17:17. If you continue (abide, dwell in, remain in, live in) My Word, you are truly My disciples (and it is I who teach you to profit in the true sense of the word) and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32. True prosperity can only come when you are free from the sins that ensnare and encumber you and only My Word, and the grace that comes with My Word, can do that.
But today we are not so much looking at how to prosper but establishing that My Will is clearly for you to prosper. We will go into how to prosper during this series in other life lessons.
I know the plans I have for you, plans for your shalom (peace, prosperity, health, good relationships) and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11. And most assuredly I sent Jesus to bring you that abundant life of wholeness in every area of your life. He is leading you back to the Garden of Eden and letting you eat from the Tree of Life, for He is the way, the truth, and the life. His death on the tree of the cross gave you the bread of life that you eat and have eternal life. He is your good Shepherd leading you to abundant green pastures where He bids you lie down in His rest beside living healing waters of peace as He restores your soul and sets an abundant table before you, leading you into the abundance of delights of My house where you are to reside all the days of your life forever. Psalm 23:1-5. I tell you that I am your shepherd and you shall NOT want. You shall not lack.
For you know the grace of your Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9. You have access to all riches in Him. It has pleased Me to give you, the little flock, the Kingdom. Luke 12:32. And in the Kingdom are prosperity, peace, healing, and every good thing. Every good and perfect gift comes down from Me, the Father of lights (each of you is My light in the world, lit with the anointing oil and the fire of the Holy Spirit which I have poured into you lavishly in Jesus and also within you is Jesus the Light of the world), and I give good things to My children who ask. Seek first the Kingdom and My righteousness and everything you need will be added to you! Matthew 6:33. Whatever you give for My sake and the sake of the Gospel, you receive back a hundred times more. Mark 10:29. Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill My house with glory. The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, and the latter glory of My church will be greater than the former, and in this place I will give shalom. Haggai 2:6-9. And you are members of Christ’s body, the Church. The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous.
My plans are always to prosper you. When I redeemed the Israelites from the slavery and poverty of Egypt, they did not leave empty handed. Long before the descendants of Abraham ever went to Egypt I foretold to Abraham that “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with great possessions.” Genesis 15:13-14. And I repeated that to Moses when I appeared to Him in the burning bush and told him to lead My people out of Egypt to the abundant land, flowing with milk and honey, that I had promised Abraham to give his descendants. I explained to Moses that I would grant the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when he led them out, they would not go empty-handed, but laden with silver, gold and fine clothing given them by their Egyptian neighbors and masters. Exodus 3:21-22. And so it was. I led them out laden with silver and gold and not a feeble one among them. Prosperous though they had been enslaved in lack for four hundred years. But slavery was not My plan, the blessing and prosperity were, so I brought them out to bring them in to a land of great abundance where I would give them beautiful cities they did not build, houses filled with good things that they did not fill, vineyards and olive trees they did not plant, and wells they did not dig. Deuteronomy 6:10-11. My Blessing makes rich and adds no toil with it. And when they finally went in, I gave them the land and all these wonderful things. And I have not changed. I still have the same plans for you, all sufficiency with an abundance for good works. 2 Corinthians 9:8.
I take delight in the prosperity of My servants. Psalm 35:27. I am delighted to see My children prosperous and healthy as they walk in the truth. Do not limit Me, open wide your mouth and I will fill it with good things so your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 81:10; Psalm 103:5. My eyes are upon those who honor Me, on those who hope for My lovingkindness, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine. Psalm 33:18-19. I am the LORD who sees ahead and provides for all your needs according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Genesis 22:14; Philippians 4:19.
I love you. I will never leave you or forsake you. Nothing is impossible for Me. I will always provide good things for you. I am the LORD, your God and your Redeemer, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17. And that is what these life lessons are going to be about.
