The first thing is wisdom. Get wisdom; and with all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

When Solomon became king I appeared to him in a dream and told him to ask Me for whatever he wished. He asked for wisdom and knowledge, 2 Chronicles 1:10, and to get these he asked for a hearing heart so that he would be able to discern between good and evil. 1 Kings 3:9. And he knew from his father, David, just what to ask Me for. He knew that wisdom is the primary thing you need for success in life. And he knew it had to be not just worldly wisdom but a particular kind of wisdom, that is, the wisdom that comes from Me. And as long as Solomon walked with Me and heard with his heart, Solomon prospered and increased and so did the entire nation. They had prosperity and peace. Solomon had worldly riches beyond what anyone has ever had before or after him. But he was the person who went after My Wisdom more than any other person born from the seed of Adam who ever lived. Of course, when Jesus came you had one greater than Solomon with you and in Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom is the primary thing to have a prosperous life. The wisdom that comes from above.

Today we continue our series on how to prosper and increase with Life Lesson No. 2: “Wisdom is the principal thing.” Wisdom is the beginning and sustainer of prosperity and increase in every area of your life.

I give wisdom and from My mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 3:6. True wisdom comes from Me and in My Word you acquire knowledge and understanding. And wisdom, understanding, and knowledge together build a prosperous and fruitful life. By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established, and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 23:3-4. The first thing is wisdom. Get wisdom; and with all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7.

Now, I will define wisdom for you. WISDOM IS SEEING THINGS AS I SEE THEM. Mankind in general does not see things the way I see them. I see all layers into the innermost parts and I see them in time and eternity. Man sees physical circumstances at the moment. You may be in a situation where you just want out or some other way of solving it. You are praying for Me just to release you and get you out of it or for a certain result or thing to happen. But that is not wisdom. Wisdom is to pray that I open your eyes so you see as I see the situation and then you will see what the cause is, what the solution is, and the best way to implement the desired end. Pray to receive your sight, your spiritual sight, to see as I see, and then you will see the wise solution, the perfect solution, to what you are facing.

The Pharisees saw Jesus with their physical eyes but they did not really “see” Him. They did not see Him as the Messiah. And yet Peter did. And Jesus said to Peter that no mere man had revealed that to Peter but His Father in Heaven. Peter was seeing with eyes that saw like I saw. Blessed are your eyes because they see.

I guide you with My eye upon you. You have to see what I am seeing in the situation in order to prosper and increase. To have wisdom, which is the primary thing, you must see as I see. I told the prophet Samuel as he gazed upon David’s tall handsome brother believing surely he was the one I chose to anoint that I do not see as man sees, just from the outer appearance, I see all the way into the heart, the deepest depths. 1 Samuel 16:7. If you just judge by appearances you can make very unwise decisions. Jesus told the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, and scoffed at His parables, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” Luke 16:14-15.

Where prosperity is concerned there is a worldly wisdom and a heavenly wisdom. Heavenly wisdom and understanding (discernment) is shown by walking in integrity of heart and honor in the gentleness of wisdom. My Son was gentle and humble of heart. He had great wisdom and understanding. Worldly wisdom, on the other hand, is characterized by bitter jealousy and selfish ambition. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, carnal, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is strife and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:13-18.

Jesus told the Samaritan woman that I am Spirit, and those who worship Me must worship in Spirit and truth. John 4:24. And she understood, she then saw something the Pharisees did not see, she no longer saw Jesus as a strange Jewish man that she supposed was prejudiced against her but she saw the Messiah. Spirit is seeing things as I see them. When you are praying, walking, or caught up in the Spirit, as John was on Patmos, you see things as I see them. And truth is My Word, which gives understanding and knowledge. So worshipping or serving Me, and I use worship and service interchangeably, Romans 12:1, in Spirit and in truth is walking in divine wisdom, understanding and knowledge. So do not be conformed to this world, that is, function in worldly wisdom, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what My will is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect. And My Will is for you to prosper, but by the means of heavenly wisdom, the fruit of which is peace and not strife.

Kingdom prosperity is based on giving to others to receive and worldly prosperity is based on taking away from others to receive. Heavenly wisdom is not acceptable to the world. It seems contrary to them to give to receive. To be generous to increase. To give tithes and offerings and lavishly give to the poor seems contrary to amassing riches to the world. But in My Kingdom it is the way to increase. Just read Psalm 112.

So how do you get wisdom? For I direct you very strongly to get wisdom. Proverbs 4:7. Let Me begin with this, say it looks impossible to you to prosper and increase at the point you are at in your life now. What do I tell you about impossible situations? Nothing is impossible with Me, all things are possible with Me. What does it mean to be “with Me?” If you are “with” someone, you are in their presence. The more you are with Me, the more you will see as I see. And I see a way where there is no way. I can see a path through the sea.

When I specifically had Moses and the Israelites who were leaving Egypt on the night of the Passover turn sharply from the direction they were going upon the land and go down through a canyon that ended up on the beach at a very deep part of the Red Sea to worldly wisdom it looked insane. But I knew of Pharaoh’s approaching army of chariots and I was fighting the battle for the unarmed Israelites who were proceeding at My direction. They were with Me. Pharaoh’s army was not, they were in fact acting against Me with evil intent. When they saw themselves locked in from fleeing the fast approaching chariots of Pharaoh on one side by the canyon that was filled with the oncoming chariots and the deep sea on the other side the Israelites were ready to give up and screamed for death rather than be there. But Moses cried out to Me. And I let him see as I saw. I saw a path at that part of the sea I had prepared from of old. Under the sea there it was like a ravine but in the middle of the ravine, deep under the sea, I had formed a wide plateau that could accommodate all My numerous people and their herds, flocks and wagons filled with good things from the Egyptians. All that needed to happen was for the sea to congeal into a solid from a liquid and then to part with a strong wind from My Spirit drying the muddy path through the sea so crossing would be easy. And Moses put his eyes on Me and when I told him to raise that staff and I would part the sea, he did not question it, he saw with My eyes and up went his staff and with outstretch arm he commanded the sea to part. And you know the rest. Unless you saw as I saw you would never have known the way to prosperity and good success.

You know every time as you get older and you get a pain or an adverse reaction in your body you should not start praying to die and for Me just to take you to Heaven, the same with anyone, young or old, in pain, financial trouble, or painful circumstances. You may think dying is the answer, some people even commit suicide over these things, but it is not wisdom. What you really want is restoration, reinstatement, replenishment, and renewal. Pray what I had Hezekiah pray, “O restore me to health and let me live! Isaiah 38:16. That is what you really want and that is a much wiser prayer. Pray, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit.” Psalm 51:12. Or, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10. See things as I see them.

If you can look at an impossible situation seeing what I see, it will not look impossible anymore. Blessed will be your eyes because they see to say “it can and will be done.” Why? When you are with Me all things are possible. Who are you with?

Do you recall when the king of Aram sent horses and chariots and a great army to capture Elisha the prophet and they came by night and surrounded the city where Elisha had his home? The attendant of Elisha, and Elisha always walked with Me, had risen early and gone out, and he saw the army with horses and chariots circling the city. And he cried out in fear to Elisha, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” And that may sound like your reaction in adverse circumstances, whether financial, physical, relational, or emotional. But Elisha answered with heavenly wisdom, “Do not fear, for those who are WITH US are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed to Me and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And I opened the servant’s spiritual eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:14-17. The situation did not really need to change for the servant to know what to do. It was what he SAW that needed to change to find the answer. If you cannot see your way out, you just need to change what you see by praying to Me, “Lord, I want to receive my sight, open my eyes that I may see.” And the sign of the longed for Messiah was that He would give sight to the blind. Isaiah 35:5; Luke 4:18; Luke 7:22. No one had ever done that until Jesus came. John 9:32 (“Since the beginning of time it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind.”)

Prayer. Time with Me in communication, you learn to see as I do. Pray with My Word as written and pray in the Spirit. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask Me for it, I give to all generously and without reproach. James 1:5. Ask and you shall receive it as a gift. Wisdom is from Me. The Spirit of Wisdom. But you must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from Me, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8. Without faith there is no conductor to connect with and let My promise flow into your soul. Faith is like a magnet to My promises. All these blessings will overwhelm and overtake you.

Be careful about who you talk to about your problem. You are limited to what they can do. Whoever you make your source, you are limited to what they can do. Be on guard about taking idols for your god. They cannot prosper you, protect you, or deliver you. And woe to the one who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his wisdom and strength, whose heart turns away from Me. For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when prosperity comes. Jeremiah 17:5-6.

And be careful how much you talk about your problem, even to Me, whatever you magnify is enlarged in your mind and heart. When you use a magnifying glass, the words on the page do not actually get bigger, they just get bigger in your eyes. So the more of your problem you talk about and focus your attention on, the bigger it gets till you are overwhelmed. There is a reason David, when caught up in problems and adversity sang, “The LORD be magnified, who delights in the prosperity of His servant.” Psalm 35:27. Magnify Me and not the problem and watch the solution be before you. You will see as I see as you magnify Me.

In any given situation you must see what I am seeing in the situation to have wisdom. You must see every person and every situation as I do. I give wisdom. It comes from being in My presence.

To reverence Me in spirit and truth is the beginning of wisdom. Psalm 111:10. For how do I teach you wisdom? David knew, “Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6. I teach wisdom to you in your heart. That is why Solomon knew to ask for a heart that hears so that he then could discern good from evil.

And even Pharaoh recognized that is where wisdom and understanding (discernment) come from. Once he encountered Joseph, who not only interpreted his dream but showed it to him with My eyes, and thus gave him the solution, He cried out to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the divine spirit?” So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:39-41. Wisdom from Me is the beginning of prosperity and increase.

For I give wisdom; from My mouth come knowledge and understanding. I store up sound wisdom for the upright; I am a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice, and I preserve the way of My godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things; from those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness. Proverbs 2:6-13

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver and her gain better than fine gold. She is more precious than jewels; and nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast. Proverbs 3:13-18.

I love you. You have asked for yourself wisdom and knowledge, wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. And I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none who were before you has possessed nor those who will come after you. 2 Chronicles 1:12.
