And He said, “If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer.” Exodus 15:26.

כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה רֹפְאֶךָ

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I, the LORD, am your healer. Yahweh Ropheka (ְהוָה רֹפְאֶךָ). Today it is more common to hear people refer to Me in this area as Yahweh Rapha or Jehovah Rapha (הוָה רפא) but this just means the LORD who heals, but when I first gave you this identification of Myself I stated it as the LORD who is YOUR healer, which adds the ending (kha), that is “your.” And I said it in the context as addressed to those who believe in Me, hear My voice, and obey it by doing My Word. Healing, as Jesus told the woman outside the Covenant, is the children’s bread. But then she entered covenant the way Abraham did, by faith. Abraham believed My Words and followed Me and I credited it to him as righteousness. Righteousness by faith. And that gives you the key to healing. Faith in My covenant promise of healing that I signed in My Name which is “yes” to you in Jesus. So say “amen.” In Hebrew it states that Abraham “amened” Me. Agreed with and put his faith and trust in My Words. He became fully persuaded that what I said, I would perform if he just believed and kept speaking in agreement with Me and not in agreement with the appearance of his outward circumstances. The spiritual laws are above the physical laws, well, actually they work with the physical laws but produce a result that is not what people expect as the normal course due to a change in form (flowing water to congealed water to cross the Red Sea), substance (water to wine), time (forward or backward, speed up or slow down, restore and redeem), and quantity (replication and multiplication).

We are continuing our series on knowing My Name with Life Lesson No. 4: The LORD your healer. And that is who I AM. It gives Me great joy to heal you and see you walking in good health, which is walking in the truth. When you see Jesus you see Me, and He healed everyone who came to Him in faith.

The way I heal is by My Word, I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from death and destruction. Psalm 107:20. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all your flesh. Proverbs 4:22. My Words are like medicine but more than that they mend, restore, renew, rejuvenate, create, and make you better than before. You rebuke the illness and cast it out but then to restore all the damage done by it you pray, declare and trust My Word and lay your hands on the sick.

The verb “to heal” in Hebrew is rapha which is formed from the letters resh, peh, and aleph: רפא. The root of rapha is the word raphah formed of the letters resh, peh, and hei: רפה. Raphah means to relax. This tells you that the root of healing is no anxiety and no stress, it is living in My rest. But both of these three letter words tell you what you must do to have their meaning. First let Me show you what these letters mean.

Both rapha and raphah start with the letter “resh (ר).” Resh is the twentieth letter of the Hebrew aleph-bet and its numerical value is 200. The letter Resh alludes to the word ‘rosh‘ (head). The head is the most significant of all the parts of the body. It is the source of intellect, reason and wisdom. It also signifies the first part (such as the head of the year (or beginning)) as well as the human head or mind and the thoughts your mind is dwelling upon. The pictogram is a man’s head. So all healing and relaxing starts in your thoughts, the thoughts of your mind, which needs renewing, and of your heart.

The next letter is the peh (פ). Peh is the seventeenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet and its numerical value is 80. It sounds like the letter “p” with a dagesh in it (dot) and like an “f” (ph) without a dagesh. Its pictogram is a mouth. And the name of the letter (פֶּה) means mouth in Hebrew. So this letter is about what you are speaking with your mouth. So we see healing and relaxing are about your thoughts (ר) and your words (פ). The spirit of faith is that you believe and so you speak. The Word of faith is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. And the mouth speaks from the heart’s abundance. Death and life are in the power of your tongue—that is, the words of your mouth. Proverbs 18:21.

But the question is what are you thinking on and saying to be healed? And what are you thinking on and saying to have no anxiety, that is, to relax? The answer is in the next letter of both words.

The word to heal is “רָפָא”, so the next letter is an alef (א). Here I will remind you of what we studied when in our life lesson on My Name “Elohim (אלהים).” The letter aleph (א) is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet (aleph-bet). It is the number “1” and is used as such. Its pictogram is an ox, which is the strong one and the sacrificial offering for sins as well as the peace offering and guilt offering. The letter aleph (א) is formed from two yods attached to a vav, so even though the completed letter is number 1 the compound of what it is formed by is the number 26 (yod is 10 and vav is 6, so 2 yods is 20 plus the vav is 26) which is the number of My Name Yahweh (יהוה) as we studied in Life Lesson No. 1. So there is great power, My power, in that letter. But here I want to focus on the sacrifice. When you are speaking out your healing you must be speaking of the sacrifice of Jesus for just as He bore your sins in His body, He also bore your sickness, your pains, and your infirmities. Isaiah 53:5; Mathew 8: , 1 Peter 2:24. By His stripes you were healed. Jesus asked the Pharisees, “which is easier to say: ‘your sins are forgiven,” or “be healed of your infirmity’?, implying that they are both of the same origin—that is, the offering of His body to take the punishment due your sins and to redeem you from the curse of the law, which includes sickness, poverty and eternal death. Speak the sacrifice of Jesus as the fruit of your lips and offer to Me the words of your mouth as the first fruits offering when sickness comes to try to take your body down. It is then your healing is released into your mortal flesh, and not only your flesh but your mind and emotions as well.

Now consider the next letter in the word “relax (רָפָה).” It is the letter hei. We have studied hei in our first two life lessons. Hei signifies grace and its pictogram is an open window to Heaven or a man with arms raised in awe and praise at the grace and revelation received from Heaven. The lesson in this letter is that to relax your thoughts and words must be of My grace. My grace is sufficient to overcome any problem. With enough grace you can do anything. Grace is My divine life in you. Grace gives you skill and ability. Come with confidence to My throne of grace and receive mercy and find grace for help right when you need it. Grace is unmerited favor giving you the help and skill to live a victorious life. Say nothing harmful to yourself and others of agitation, anger, fear, offense and the other evils that cause anxiety, stress and strife. Instead speak gracious words, words of My promises of provision, health, deliverance, refuge, redemption and overcoming power. Speak of how I lead you in triumph and make all things work together for your good because you love and follow Me. Speak of your Shepherd and that there is nothing you lack or want. Speak of the manifold riches of My grace to you in Christ Jesus. Grace on top of grace. Open the windows of your soul to the sweet flow of grace as it blows in with My Holy Spirit. As you speak to yourself and others in psalms, hymns, and spirit songs, making melody in your heart to Me as you cast all your cares on Me and declare how well I take care of you. And tomorrow you will learn another of My Names, the LORD who sees ahead and provides.

And remember that the root of healing is to relax. So why not speak of the aleph and the hei, i.e., the sacrifice for sin and sickness and the grace that comes through Him. Return, return to Me, the LORD your God, for your sins have been your downfall! Take words with you and return to Me, say to Me: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips (the bullocks of your lips).” Hosea 14:1-2.

I, the LORD, am your Healer. And that is a covenant promise for My children. It is the children’s bread. And I gave you My Son as your bread that came down from Heaven for a man to eat and never die. Partake and live.

I love you. My Will is to heal you and have you walk in perfect health. But the only way you can do that in this life is by filling your mind and your mouth with My promises of healing from My Word, and these are all about the Lamb who was slain for you. He won your healing. Remember first that My name is the LORD your righteousness and that leads into the LORD your healer, for once the sins are gone the healing comes.
