That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. Ephesians 1:17.
The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran, and said to him, ‘Leave your country and your relatives, and come into the land that I will show you.’ Acts 7:2-3.
Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 24:7-10.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I have magnified My Word according to all My Name. Psalm 138:2. My Name is a strong tower, anyone who calls on My Name will be saved, and I have given you My Name and with My Name come promises, covenant benefits, signed in My Name. You are saved by calling on My Name. Do you know My Name? Do you know My Son’s Name? Do you know all My Name?
That is what this series of instruction is about, knowing Me by knowing My Name and today is Life Lesson No. 14: The God, King, and Father of Glory. In My Word you read that the King of Glory enters, the God of glory appears, and the Father of glory gives you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. Who is this King of Glory? The LORD of Hosts. I AM the King of Glory, the God of Glory, and the Father of Glory. And I will give you on the Lasts Day a body of Glory!
When I manifest Myself, the Glory appears. I make the place of My feet glorious. Isaiah 60:13. I am a shield about you, your glory, and the One who lifts your head. Psalm 3:3. My glory raises you up from the ash heap to seat you with the Prince of Peace. For just as I raised Christ from the dead by My glory, you too, who believe in His Name, can walk in the newness of a glorious life. Romans 6:4.
People give Me glory when they experience My goodness, My presence, and My power, as they did in Jesus by healings, signs, mighty works, and wonders, and that is a good working definition of My glory applied in your daily life, but, if you read My Word, you will see My glory is all that and more. My people of the Old Covenant were very conscious of when My glory entered their midst, they fell on their faces and worshipped. 2 Chronicles 7:3. As did Peter, James and John on the mountain of the Transfiguration when My glory appeared.
My glory is full of radiance, brilliance, riches, abundance, and amazing Light. Whenever My Glory enters, then waste places become as the garden of Eden and joy and gladness replace grief and sadness. And there will be thanksgiving and sound of a melody. Isaiah 51:3. When My glory appears your joy will be full. It is time for you to experience the revelation of your Father of glory as My children of light.
My heavenly Kingdom has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for My glory illumines it, and its lamp is the Lamb. And you will find whenever My Glory appears, as when angels arrive, My glory fills the place as it did in the night sky over Bethlehem with dazzling light when Jesus took flesh to dwell among you, as it did the night the angel released Peter from the prison cell. Yes, even in the dark captivity of a prison cell when My Glory arrives the darkness flees, the chains fall off, and prison gates open. That is why Satan, the god of this world, seeks to blind the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is My image. For he knows that when you open the eyes of your heart and behold that glory you will rise up from the dust and shake off his chains by which he took you captive to do his will.
I light up dark places with My glory, and the darkness cannot overcome the light of My Glory, for I who call Light to shine out of darkness am the One who has shone in your hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of My glory in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:4-6. When Paul on the road to Damascus saw the vision of My Son raised from the dead in all His glory, he fell to the ground in the brilliance of that light and walked away unable to see due to the brightness of the light. The face of Christ shines like the sun in its strength and His eyes are like a flame of fire. Revelation 1:14-16. And so shall you be when I have glorified you to shine in My Kingdom.
While he was in exile for preaching the Gospel, I showed My beloved John in the Spirit My city, the heavenly Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven, glowing with My glory, to join with the earth at the end of time. Revelation 21:10-11. The brilliance of My heavenly city is like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper. The material of the wall is jasper; and the city is pure gold, like clear spun glass, full of dazzling reflections. The foundation stones of the city wall are adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone is jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates are twelve pearls; each one of the gates is a single pearl. And the street of the city is also pure spun gold, like transparent glass. Revelation 21:18-21.
Do you see now the greatness of My promise to supply for all your needs according TO MY RICHES IN GLORY in Christ Jesus if you are sowing into the work of the ministry to spread the good news of Jesus? Philippians 4:19. Tithes and offerings give Me glory for they testify that Jesus, your High Priest, lives forever.
When Ezekiel was with the exiles from Jerusalem in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar, I opened the heavens to him to show him a vision of My glory, which was great consolation and refreshing joy for a devastated and defeated people in exile away from the Temple, which had been destroyed due to their abandoning Me for other gods and even setting up altars to idols in My temple. And what did Ezekiel see? He saw My glory as a great radiance, as the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, and when he saw it, he fell on his face. You will see this is the usual response when My Glory is seen, those who experience the greatness of it fall on their face in worship. The power of the brilliance, which is pure light and pure love, for I AM Light and I AM Love, makes you breathless and filled with awe—joy unspeakable filled with GLORY. It is a moment of so much overwhelming goodness, love, light and majestic splendor that you cannot take it into a mortal body. That is why many times you will find My glory coming to you in a cloud that fills the place where you are, but in the cloud there is the appearance of fire. When My glory rested on Mount Sinai the cloud covered it for six days; and on the seventh day I called to Moses from the midst of the cloud, and to the eyes of the sons of Israel the appearance of My glory was like a consuming fire on the mountain top. Exodus 24:15-17. Ezekiel also saw Me as one with the shining brilliance of fire. It is not fire that burns, it is the dazzling light of glory, the fire of love. That is why John describes the eyes of the risen Jesus as like flames of fire. The same fire of glorious love is in My Word, which set the cold darkened hearts of the two disciples on their way to Emmaus the day I raised Jesus from the dead into burning flames of fire! My Glory will light your lamp (the spirit of a man is My lamp, searching through all your innermost parts) and illumine the darkness around you.
When My glory enters, blind eyes see, the lame walk and leap, the sick are healed, broken hearts are mended, stony hearts become soft, sensitive hearts filled with My Spirit (Jesus baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and fire!)—tongues of fire! And what are you to do with all this Glory? Light up everyone’s life with it like Jesus did. You have in you the Light of the World and I have anointed you in Him and lit your lamp to illumine the darkness around you! Let your light shine before men so they may see goodness in your acts and give glory to Me, your Father of Glory! For a people walking in darkness have seen a great light, and on those in a land of gloom Light has shone! Glory dwelling in your land and in you, Christ in you, your hope of glory. For a child has been born to you, a Son given you and on His shoulders dominion rests. And no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the Light of life! The Glory has entered into your land.
So, arise and shine! for your light has come, and My Glory has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but I will rise upon you and My glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes round about and see; they all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, and your daughters will be carried in the arms. Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and rejoice. Isaiah 60:1-5.
And the Day will soon be here when you will no longer have need of the sun for light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give you light; but you will have Me for your everlasting light, and your God for your glory! I will give you the crown of Glory when your chief Shepherd appears. Your sun will no longer set, nor will your moon wane; for you will have Me as your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be over. Then all your people will be righteous; I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time. Isaiah 60:19-22.
For I have sworn that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of My glory as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14. And how will that happen? The rivers of the glory pouring forth from the innermost being of every born again believer until the flood of glory covers the earth as you preach the Gospel to all the nations, beginning with the people around you that you come across in your path of life each day. These are actually divine appointments and encounters, do not pass them by. As I told Moses, “indeed, as I live, all the earth will be filled with My glory.” Exodus 14:21.
How do you get filled with My glory until it shines out of you? The same way Moses did that made his face radiant—by spending time in My presence, hearing, writing and speaking My Word as you pour out your heart to Me. For him it all started at the burning bush and that lit his life and set his heart on fire. He just wanted more of My glory.
I love you. Do you know the first time I speak of My glory appearing? It was to the Israelites in the desert after I had redeemed them out of the slavery of Egypt, but My glory came to announce a very specific visitation. The people were grumbling that they had no bread and I told Moses to tell them I would rain down bread from Heaven and in the morning they would see My glory. Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel to tell them and as they looked toward the wilderness, My glory appeared in the cloud. Exodus 16:2-12. And the next morning the manna came down on the dewfall. I rained down bread from Heaven and I called that seeing My glory in miraculous provision. And when before the daystar like the dew I sent down the true Bread from Heaven that you would eat and never die, the heavenly host appeared and the glory shone around the fields of Bethlehem telling the good news that you would see My glory appear so your joy would be full.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14.
