All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. Psalm 25:10.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
David, moved by the Holy Spirit on him, sang, “Make me know Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day.” Psalm 25:4-5.
He wanted to know My ways and the paths so that he could follow them and make his life prosperous and successful, but more than that, he wanted to be with Me at all times, to stay in My house forever. David was the first person in the Bible to say he loved Me.
“I love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” Psalm 18:1-3.
And what did he say about My way in that psalm?
As for God, His way is perfect: the LORD’s word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30.
The word translated “perfect” is the Hebrew word “tamin (תָּמִים).” Tamin means complete, whole, perfect, blameless, without blemish, absolutely pure with no defect. It was the requirement for a lamb offered on the bronze altar as an offering for sin and the requirement for the Passover lamb. My ways are pure ways.
See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3.
And what did knowing My way do for David?
The God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:32.
I make you tamin by putting all your sins on Jesus and giving you His perfect purity. The sin offering, the peace offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering, the guilt offering were all shadows of the good things to come but the substance is Christ. In Christ you are made complete, perfect, tamin. Holy and blameless and beyond reproach before Me.
And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard. Colossians 1:21-23.
David wanted to enter My rest, and he knew from the inspired writings of Moses that the reason the Israelites I redeemed from the slavery of Egypt did not enter the promised land or enjoy My rest was because they did not know My ways. He was determined to know My ways.
Today, if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, when your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, though they had seen My work. For forty years I loathed that generation, and said they are a people who err in their heart, and they do not know My ways. Therefore I swore in My anger, “Truly they shall not enter into My rest.” Psalm 95:7-11.
Jesus is the Way and in Him I made that way very clear. And the reasons for which I tell you I sent Him from the beginning to the end are your guideposts. So do not be foolish, but understand what My Will is, making the most of your time for the days are evil. Ephesians 5:17.
Let us start with what Jesus told you My Will is for you, it is the Way of Salvation.
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40.
You behold and you believe. My way is to give you eternal life.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Believing, i.e., faith, is the way. I direct you to walk by faith and not by sight. I move everything by My Word and that is by faith. I call those things that I have planned in My heart as though they are and they become by My Word and the Spirit. I speak things before you see things.
God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. Romans 4:17.
The same is true about you. The Israelites did not understand this, or they would not have spoken as they did, for they got what they said—they all died in the desert except for two who had a different spirit, the spirit of faith. You believe in your heart and speak out with your mouth what has become the driving force in your heart.
The criteria is to believe in Jesus and you are saved and will never perish. But what are you to behold and believe that gives you eternal life and frees you from the judgment that rests upon mankind in Adam?
I tell you for I revealed it to Paul for you:
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.
This was not a new teaching. It was according to the Scriptures. Have you never read:
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being (shalom- wholeness in every area of your life) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:5-6.
I showed Isaiah the glory of Jesus and he wrote about Him. John 12:41.
In Jesus, I have given you redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of your trespasses according to the riches of My grace that I lavish on you in Him. Ephesians 1:7.
Now I will return to Psalm 25. I reveal things to those who love Me that I cannot share with others. You cannot cast your pearls before swine or give what is holy to dogs. They do not value them. David knew My ways and the paths:

I am love. I think in love, I talk in love, and I walk in love, pure absolute love. Everything else is foreign to Me and cannot enter Me. Evil cannot change Me or abide with Me. It cannot enter into My presence and remain. By My justice and righteousness, which are the foundations of My throne, every evil thing is shut out of My Kingdom. I cannot even look upon sin it is not of Me.
Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, and let those who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish before God. But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; yes, let them rejoice with gladness. Sing to God, sing praises to His name. Psalm 68:1-4.
For those who walk with Me and join their lives with Mine all the paths are lovingkindness (chesed – the perfect love that I have for you that casts out all fear) and truth (which sanctifies you and sets you apart from the lies of the ruler of this world, the ruler of the realm of darkness from which I have rescued you by My imperishable Word of truth). Love and truth set you free from sin and death. Love and truth set you free of all that would oppress or bind you.
What then are My ways? Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit; loving kindness and truth, justice and mercy combined, walking by faith and not by sight, pure love, goodness, glory—but let Me sum it up in five words: “Speaking the truth in love.”
As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. Ephesians 4:14-16.
I love you and that is what My ways are all about: saving, blessing, loving, and favoring you who will draw close to Me.
