There is no one holy like the LORD, indeed, there is no one besides You, nor is there any rock like our God. 1 Samuel 2:2.

“For I proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:3-4.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

You can trust My Word. My Word is established forever. I do not change and My Word does not change for I AM My Word. John 1:1. All things came into being through and by My Word and are sustained by Word. Everyone who hears My Words and acts on them, is like a wise man who built his house on the rock, when the rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25. I AM the everlasting Rock. Drop the anchor of your life into the everlasting Rock and you will never be moved. You will come out victorious in every storm. Why? Because you have come to know and believe in My love for you and have come to KNOW that My promises are yours, I have given them to you and said “Yes” to you in Christ.

And today we continue our series of instructions on knowing Me by knowing My Name with Life Lesson No. 15: “The Everlasting Rock.” In Hebrew that Name is צור עולם which is transliterated as Tsur Olam. The Hebrew word “tsur” means a rock that is a big rock, a cliff. You can sit, stand, rest, and build your life on that rock. The word for stone is אֶבֶן, pronounced “even,” which means a stone, and also there is a word for rock that is “sela” סֶלַע which means a crag or a cliff. The word “olam” (עוֹלָם) means of long duration from antiquity to futurity, forever, everlasting.

When you come to the point where My Word is so real to you that you keep yourself grounded and stayed on My Word it will keep you in the double portion of shalom, perfect peace, nothing will move you from your stability of mind, because you have come to a point where you know Me and you know if I said it, you have it. No wavering, no shifting shadow.

You can trust in Me forever, for in Me, YHWH, you have an everlasting Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4.

When you have Me and you understand the guarantee of My Word, you are not on shifting sand.

The first one to call Me by the name of the Rock was the very one who, at My instructions, struck the rock and saw living water gush out in such a great volume that it was enough to give the entire Israelite community and all their livestock plenty to drink. Moses, the man to whom I revealed My Name YHWH, the everlasting One, and to whom I gave the first five books of the Bible to put into writing. And I wrote My law for him on tablets of stone, that is, rock. So Moses wrote a song, “For I proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:3-4. Just, faithful, without injustice, righteous and upright, but full of compassion, mercy, slow to anger, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth and faithfulness.

The next person after Moses to call Me the Name of Rock was Hannah, the woman who bemoaned her barrenness before Me and suddenly stepped into such faith in My promises that she began rejoicing and thanking Me before she had the manifestation. And she gave birth to a child she consecrated to Me, the prophet Samuel, and she sang a song of thanksgiving, “My heart exults in the LORD, my horn is exalted in the LORD, my mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation. There is no one holy like the LORD, indeed, there is no one besides You, nor is there any rock like our God.” 1 Samuel 2:2. And then she had five more children, a joyful mother that no storm could ever take down again. She understood and built her life on the Rock.

To live on the Rock than is higher than you, you must let Me lift you out of the swamp of unknowing and of doubt, out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and set your feet upon the rock making your footsteps firm with a new song in your mouth of praise to your everlasting Rock. Psalm 40:1-3. Like Hannah, like Moses, like David, like so many who have discovered the secret place of the Most High and have made their abode there.

How blessed is the man who has made Me his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. I am the God of wonders and My eyes are upon you with plans for your shalom and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. My good plans for you are too numerous for you to count. Why? They span eternity. You can rest in, trust in, and live in Me, and that means being fully persuaded that all I have promised is yours as I have told you. In Christ, I HAVE BLESSED YOU with EVERY spiritual blessing in Heaven. In Jesus all My magnificent promises are “yes” to you. YOU HAVE THEM ALREADY in your heavenly account, ready and waiting for you to receive them into your life just when you need them.

Come to My throne of grace with confidence and take and receive mercy and find abundant grace in time of need, and it will be just as the water gushing from the rock to satisfy your thirst. For those who drink the water of life will never thirst again, that rock will gush whenever you speak to it. Yes, the first time I told Moses to strike the rock with the rod with which he executed judgment upon the Egyptians at the Red Sea to bring out the water, and that rock represented Christ. Jesus was struck and died once for all. But the second time I told Moses to bring water out of the rock, I did not tell him to strike the rock with his rod of judgment, but to take the rod of the High Priest, Aaron, that was in the Ark of the Covenant, and then to speak to the rock to release the fountain of living water therein to meet the need of the people. And the next time, they needed water, I directed all the princes of Israel to sing to the well to bring out the water.

Do you see how to bring forth the promises from your Rock? Not by striking, but speaking and singing. I told you how to do it, “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted, being built up in Him and established by your faith, just as you were instructed, overflowing with gratitude.” Colossians 2:6-7. It is good to give thanks. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to Me. And My peace, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Great peace have those who keep their minds stayed on Me, who trust in Me, for I AM the everlasting Rock.

To come to the place where you rest in the Rock and are not shaken by any storm that comes, whether internal or external, and where you know how to operate in My Word, there are three things you MUST KNOW so you do not waver. First, you must know My Word, that is, read, hear, speak, eat My Word in the Bible and find out who I tell you I AM, My Names, and My promises such as forgiveness, healing, provision, giving you good things, and keeping you young and strong. Second, you must come to know and believe in the love I have for you, especially by seeing My love as manifested in Jesus and how I put all your sins, sickness, pains, and poverty on Him and that in Him I gave you righteousness, healing, health, and riches. Third, you must be fully persuaded that what I tell you I have done for you, given to you, and blessed you with is YOURS and that you have it already and I will never take it away, and this third requirement is what I call FAITH. Faith will release the promises. Fully persuaded faith.

Now, let Me show you how to put My Word to work. I am at work till now and My Son as well, and I work by My Word and so does He. That is how everything was made and is sustained and He is My Word. My Words contain My power and the promise they pertain to, like imperishable seed that you can plant forever, that will never die and will bear much fruit.

When you have a need, first you must know My Word on that subject so you do not give in to fear and doubt. You must put the fear and doubt down by not speaking it but instead giving Me a BIG smile with joy over that you already have what you need to overcome what is coming against you. You get ready to take hold of what is yours by receiving it by thanksgiving before it manifests. You are just as healed while you have the pain as you are when the pain goes. What am I saying? I am saying you have been given healing and divine health, My promise is YES to you in Jesus, so you simply take it thanking Me for it. But thank Me as I told Moses to do the second time with the rock and then with the well, you speak what you have and you sing to the well of Salvation to draw the water you need.

But how do you do this? I tell you through My prophet Isaiah, in fact what you are to say takes up the full twelfth chapter of the book of Isaiah, and it begins, “Then you will say on that day,” stop a moment, what day am I speaking of? The day of your trial, whatever it be whether physical, financial or emotional. And the what is it you say, “I will give thanks to You, O LORD,” stop her a moment, do you see, it starts with thanksgiving not begging, weeping, pouting, anger? Let us continue, “For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.” Stop again. How is that? My wrath fell on Jesus for all your sins and trespasses, I was in Him reconciling you to Myself, so now I have forgiven you and remember your sins and offenses no more, how? Read on, “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;” stop again. Here is the key, I have given you Jesus and made Him your Salvation (Yeshuah) (I told Joseph to name Mary’s baby “Jesus (Yeshuah)” for He would save the people from their sins), there is nothing to fear about punishment for your sins or lawless deeds, I remember them no more because I took them away from you and gave them to Jesus, it is no longer your fault but His and He took care of it on the Cross, and I raised Him, and you with Him, from the dead. You are justified. There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. And since I gave you My Son you can trust that I give you everything good with Him.

And the instruction of how to respond to trials I gave Isaiah goes on, “For the LORD God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Do you see? Your strength and your song and I have become your salvation in every situation, whether it be sickness, pain, lack, or any other trial or storm in your life. And how do I do it? I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your pits and destructions. Psalm 107:20. You note that is in the past tense. It is done. You have it. And My instructions go on through the prophet Isaiah, “Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.” Do you see how you will pull out the healing, the provision, the power you need to overcome what is coming against you? WITH JOY. Joyously. Joyful thanksgiving that you are forgiven, healed, redeemed from the pit, surrounded with love and compassion, have days filled with good things, and your youth is renewed.

And the instruction of what to say in trial in chapter 12 of Isaiah continues, “And in that day you will say, ‘Give thanks to the LORD, call on His NAME.” Stop again. What Name do you call? Call on the Name I give you for that situation, whether it be the LORD your healer, the LORD who provides, the LORD your righteousness, the LORD your holiness, the LORD is peace, the LORD your victory, the LORD is there, the LORD your helper, the LORD your Shepherd, or the everlasting Rock.

And there is more in chapter 12 of Isaiah about your response to trials, “Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His Name is exalted.” You are to testify to what I have done and to teach My Name as I am showing you in this series so all will know Me from the least to the greatest. And the closing line of your response in trials is as follows: “Praise the LORD in song, for He has done gloriously! Let this be known throughout the earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.” Sing and shout praise and I come down to save you, for I dwell on the praises of My people. You reach out and touch Me and I reach down and come to you in songs of praise and thanksgiving. I sing over you as you sing over Me. Zephaniah 3:17. And that is the entire twelfth chapter of the book of Isaiah.

So let us say you have need of sleep and you get in bed and cannot relax and sleep. Do not get upset and start begging Me to give you sleep. Do not fear you will not sleep. Instead you remember and pull out My promises regarding sleep which you already have in your account in Christ Jesus in the heaven. And what promises are those? The promises of Proverbs 3 and Psalm 127. And to know these you must know My Word. My Holy Spirit will remind you of what I have said, but notice He brings them to your remembrance, which means you must have read them. There is the promise of Proverbs 3 that when you know My Word, then you will walk in your way securely and your foot will not stumble and when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:23-24. Sweet sleep when you lie down is yours. And there is the promise of Psalm 127 that For I give to My beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2. And in Jesus you are in the Beloved, and I love you just as I love Him.

So what do you say? You smile and laugh at your fearful thoughts of no sleep, and you settle down under the covers and thank Me with joyful voice for giving you sweet sleep and giving you peace (John 14:27). And then strike up a conversation with Me and ask Me some questions you would like to know the answers to and you will find the next thing you know you are waking up the next morning. And your sleep was sweet.

Never forget My promise that I am with you as your helper. I will help you do this and have the desired result. I teach you how to profit and the way you should go.

And you would do the same with thoughts of condemnation and shame for past sins, or even ones you did out of weakness today. You remember 1 John 1:9, that if you confess your sins to Me, I am faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness, for I have already punished all your sins in Christ. So gaze at Him on the cross and know that I did that for you so you could be free of condemnation, reproach, and shame and I really do not remember your sins anymore. Let it go and shout for joy that I have forgiven and cleansed you and we need never bring it up again no matter how much the devil reminds you. Expect that for he is the accuser of the believers and he will try to make you doubt My Word of forgiveness, healing, or any other promise.

You respond to pain, sickness, and other trials the same way. Psalm 103 is one of the best resources in My Word to find out what is already yours and you do not need to beg for those things to get them to manifest. YOU MUST THANK ME INSTEAD. In fact, the things I have given you freely in Christ are yours and My gifts and calling are irrevocable. So please stop begging Me to give you peace because I have already given you My peace and I gave it ALL to you so I have no more to give you. And Christ died once for all so stop thinking it was not enough to take away your sins. He is not going to die again for you since there is no need to do so. You have mercy. Once you were a people with no mercy but now you HAVE received mercy. Thank Me for that and rejoice.

I think now you will understand the definition of faith in the book of Hebrews: “Now faith is the substance of (title to) things hoped for, the proof (evidence) of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1.

I love you. I AM your Everlasting Rock. Your rock of refuge. Be established, built upon, and dwell upon the Rock.
