Then the angel of the LORD vanished from his sight. When Gideon saw that he was the angel of the LORD, he said, “Alas, O Lord (Adonai) LORD (YHWH)! For now I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face.” The LORD said to him, “Peace to you, do not fear; you shall not die.” Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD and named it YHWH Shalom (יהוה שלום), the LORD is Peace. Judges 6:21-24.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I know the purposes and plans I have for you, and they are for your shalom and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. I AM, I WAS, AND I ALWAYS WILL BE shalom. YHWH Shalom (יהוה שלום), the LORD is peace. Judges 6:21-24. And that is our Life Lesson No. 17 in My instructions on knowing Me by knowing My Name. And this is a Name that you will want to know for everyone is seeking peace in their souls. Which of you desires life and loves length of days that you may see good? Seek shalom and pursue it. Psalm 34:12-14.
You will see the word “shalom” translated in many ways but in Hebrew it is just one word. Most frequently, it is translated as “peace,” but it is also translated as “wholeness,” “prosperity,” “soundness,” “good health,” “well-being,” and even as “all is well.” It is not easily translated into one word once you take it out of its Hebrew origin, for it means that everything in your life is working together for good in one cohesive whole, in other words, nothing missing, nothing broken, and no one alone. It is as if you looked at all the parts of your life as pieces in a pie—your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, your finances, your family, your relationships, and your work—and every area was well provided for, peaceful, and joyful, not one piece of the pie was missing. Shalom means you have the whole pie, and not just a sliver.
I am peace, I have peace, and I give peace. To really know Me will give you shalom. Shabbat shalom. The peace of being in My rest. Why? Because when you know you have the answer to every problem that arises, the resources for every need that comes whether physical, financial, emotional, or spiritual, and a Helper with all the power and ability to bring all this to pass in your life who loves you beyond love and has already given all these things to you, that is, ALL that you need for life and godliness, you have peace that passes all understanding no matter what comes against you. No weapon formed against you can prosper when you already have the resources to put it down in your account. You have joy unspeakable filled with glory. You have peace, unshakeable shalom.
Peace is not a matter of acquiring things, it is in already having things at your disposal. Not that you can get them, but that you have them. How do you have them? In Jesus. He emptied Himself and gave all He has to YOU, and I put it all in your heavenly account where the thief cannot steal it and it is always available to you for withdrawal. For He was pierced through for your transgressions, He was crushed for your iniquities; the chastening for your SHALOM fell upon Him, and by His scourging you are healed. Isaiah 53:5. For in Jesus all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made COMPLETE. Colossians 2:9-10. Those who seek Me want for no good thing. Psalm 34:10.
The night before He gave His life to take away your sins, ills, pains, blame and shame by bearing them in your place, He gave you gifts. And when He gave them to you, for He made clear that what He asked of Me and did that night was not only for the believers present but for ALL who would believe in Him by their word. Which is all believers in My Son to the end of time when no more will be born. And when He gave you these gifts, He gave you His all. He emptied Himself for you. 2 Corinthians 8:9.
So do you know what He gave you? It would be most helpful for you if you knew so you can put them to use in your daily life. It will clear up many of your problems and your doubts about answered prayer. For how can you keep your peace among the trials of this world if you do not remember all My benefits? Psalm 103:1-5.
That night at the Passover meal, He gave you the promise of a Helper, one at your side to pull the helm with you who would be in you and with you forever, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, who would guide you to all truth, teach you all things, remind you of all He said, show you the things to come, and share with you all that I have. And He promised to not leave you orphaned but come back to you and then send you the Holy Spirit when He came back to Me.
He gave you His body and blood that gives you eternal life. The body that heals you and the blood that cleanses you of all sins. And as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim His death that gave you everything for life and godliness until He comes. And this He told you was the New and everlasting Covenant in His blood. And He told you that His body was given for YOU who receive. And this became the way of thanksgiving by remembering. You remember all I have done for you in Christ Jesus by His life, suffering, death, and resurrection! You are redeemed. This is the perpetual memorial meal of redemption that I first instituted with Moses that was a shadow of the reality until the substance came and made the shadow no longer necessary.
He gave you His peace, His shalom, all that He had He gave you. And He told you to keep it by not letting your heart be troubled or afraid. “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27. How can you guard your heart? Know My promises that are all yours in Christ Jesus and then cast your cares on Me because I care for you—just look at My Son dying for you covered with bloody lashes and you will understand that. Instead of worrying what to do, calm yourself by coming to Me as your Helper in everything, and how do you come? By confident prayer and petition with THANKSGIVING as you let your requests be made known to Me. And My peace, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Thank Me for the healing, the finances, the prosperity, the answer, the deliverance that I have promised in My Word and receive it before you see it. Have faith in My Words that you are forgiven, healed, redeemed out of the pit, surrounded with love and compassion, have good things filling your days, and your youth renewed, for I have blessed you with all spiritual blessings in Heaven in Christ, have faith in My love for you, then in all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Mark 11:24. And how do you show you believe you received? You take them with THANKSGIVING AND JOYFUL PRAISE.
But there is more. That night He also gave you His joy. How did He give you that? “These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” John 15:11. By His Words, His promises, He gives you His joy. And that night, He told you about Him being the vine and you the branches so that you bear much fruit by abiding in Him and that if you abide in Him and His Words abide in you, you can ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7. And He told you a second time how to have His joy in you in His prayer to Me that night, “But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. I have given them Your Word . . .” Your joy is in knowing what I have freely given you by and in My Word. For grace and peace is multiplied to you in the knowledge of Me and Jesus your Lord, seeing that My divine power has granted to you everything pertaining to life and godliness by a true knowledge of who I AM. I have called you to My eternal glory in Christ, and I will Myself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you in My own glory and excellence. For I have granted to you My precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of My divine nature.
I, the God of hope, will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13. My Word which goes forth from My mouth will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace. Isaiah 55:11-12. Do you see? It is believing in My Word and returning that Word to Me with thanksgiving and joy that will accomplish what it promises in your life. And your life will be led forth with peace. The peace that passes all understanding.
Hear what I have to say, for I speak shalom to My people, to My godly ones, the ones who have turned their hearts to Me, to seek Me, but do not turn back to folly. My salvation is near to those who honor Me, that glory may dwell in your land. In Jesus, lovingkindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace (shalom) have kissed each other. Truth springs from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. Psalm 85:11. Great peace have those who love My Word, My perfect law of liberty, the law of love, and nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm 119:165.
Let us look at what I am saying in a parable. Say your father gives you his car as a gift. It is a beautiful car. He gives you the certificate of title and the keys. But where you live there is no garage but only on the street parking. He does not want the car to be vandalized, stolen, corroded with rust in the changing weather, or damaged, so he keeps it in his garage for you and gives you the keys to his garage so you can get it to use whenever you need it and tells you to come with confidence and open the garage at any time night or day.
Let Me ask you a question, do you have to call and beg your father to give you the car every time you need it? This would be in vain for he already gave you the car and cannot take it back to give it to you again. And you do not have to ask him each time you need the car to open the garage for you either, he gave you a set of keys to his garage and told you to come with confidence any time to take it.
Well, I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing, all you need for life and godliness, in Christ and put it in your heavenly account safe for you where no thief can break in and steal or any moth or rust corrode. 1 Peter 1:3-4; Luke 12:33; Ephesians 1:3. And I have given you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18. And I deposited forgiveness, healing, provision, redemption, wisdom, love and compassion, good things, youthful vigor, strong bones, shalom, joy, and all My magnificent promises, which have been loosed to you in Christ in Heaven, into your heavenly account. So come with confidence to My throne of grace and take and receive mercy and find and take grace just when you need it and loose it on earth. Any time. And you don’t need to beg it from Me, that won’t go anywhere at all in getting your prayer answered, for I already gave it to you in Christ.
Yes, Christ has GIVEN you His peace (shalom) and He spoke it to you again when I raised Him from the dead as He breathed the Spirit into you so you were born again to the abundant life that is life indeed. And then He poured Him on you when He reached My throne in glory. So stop saying you have no peace and begging Me to give you peace! You have My peace and that is more than enough. There is no peace for the wicked, but those established in righteousness are far from oppression.
I love you. Do not let the devil steal your peace. You have to give it to him because he cannot steal out of your heavenly account without you letting him have it. Do not let your heart be troubled, do not let it be afraid. The minute that starts up, laugh, and start dancing as you remind yourself that you have My peace and thank Me for it with shouts of joy. You will go out of fear with joy and be led forth in peace. Remember all I have done for you in Christ. Take communion. Consider Psalm 116: “Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living. I believed even when I said, “I am greatly afflicted.” What shall I render to the LORD for all His benefits toward me? I shall lift up the cup of salvation (Yeshuah) and call upon the NAME of the LORD. O LORD, surely I am Your servant, I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid, You have loosed my bonds. To You I shall offer a sacrifice of THANKSGIVING AND CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD. Psalm 116:7-10, 12-13,16-17. And what is My Name? The LORD your healer, the LORD who provides for you, the LORD your righteousness, the LORD of hosts, and YHWH Shalom! And as you know now, there is a Name for every need. I AM the Everlasting Rock. You can rest in that Rock.
