In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3.
And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.” Revelation 4:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When in vision I opened the realm of Heaven to My prophet Isaiah and to My apostle John the first sound of Heaven they heard were the words: HOLY, HOLY, HOLY! Holiness befits My house forever. And that is the most impressive aspect they first encountered of Heaven. My glory fills that place and I am holy. Until you encounter pure holiness you do not realize how profane, corrupt, and polluted with sin your world is at the present time. Until you encounter pure holiness you do not realize how beautiful and precious it is to be holy and to keep oneself pure—untainted by the world. In the light of the holy suddenly you see what sin has done in you and others and you abhor it, as I do.
When Moses came into My presence suddenly he was upon holy ground, he hid his face, and I told him to remove his sandals. The dirt of the world has no place to hide in the light of the fire of holiness. And profane fire, as I taught the Levites who ministered before Me who had been made ritually clean by the blood sacrifices, the washing in the laver, and the holy garments clothing their nakedness, Leviticus 16:3-4, has no place on My golden altar of incense, the place of prayer. Leviticus 10:1-3. After his vision of Heaven, My beloved John wrote by inspiration of My Holy Spirit, “Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:2-3.
Thrice Holy. And that is today’s life lesson on holiness: “Holy, Holy, Holy.” And I am talking about you.
Holy, Holy, Holy—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So how should that also describe you? Holy, Holy, Holy in your spirit, your soul and your body. “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
So let us look at how you walk in holiness in your spirit, soul, and body, for I have called you in Jesus Christ to be holy, Romans 1:6-7. You have a holy calling and to achieve it I have given you all you need for life and godliness by My divine power in you by giving you My precious and magnificent promises that through them you may become partakers of My divine nature, having escaped the lusts of the world. 2 Peter 1:2-7.
The first aspect and the most important one of holiness for your life is for you to be born again from above by receiving and confessing My Son as your Lord and believing in your heart I raised Him from the dead with all your sins gone from you. Romans 10:8-10. “But as many as received Jesus, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were begotten, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6. Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet I have now reconciled you in the fleshly body of Jesus through His death and the blood of His Cross, in order to present you before Me holy and blameless and beyond reproach. Colossians 1:20-22. He made you holy by taking your sins and nailing them to the Cross. Colossians 2:13-14, He purified you and washed away your sins in His blood. Revelation 7:14; Ephesians 1:7. For you also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending your life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another, in other words, you were not holy but of profane, worldly, devilish life. But when My kindness of and My love for mankind appeared, I saved you in Jesus, not on the basis of deeds which you have done in righteousness, but according to My mercy and grace, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom I poured out upon you richly through Jesus Christ your Savior, so that being justified by grace you would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life, and that life is made available to you in My Son. Titus 3:3-7. You can be filled with all My fullness even now if you so choose to walk.
Once born again, your spirit is alive to Me and dead to sin. Adam was born again, so to speak, to the devil, moving from My realm of Light to the realm of darkness by his choice in disobedience to My Word (so here you see that to be holy and live in the Light you must be vigilant and diligent to keep My Word), and his spirit became dead to Me and alive to sin. And the wages of sin is death for sin is lawlessness and must be punished for the integrity of righteousness to prevail.
Once you have received Jesus and have become a new creation in Christ, your spirit is sanctified, holy, and pure. But then why are many of those who believe in Jesus failing to walk in holiness? They are still wearing the old man and have not put on the new. Besides your spirit you have a soul (your mind, will and emotions) and you have a body (the flesh part of you originally formed from the dust of the ground that enables your spirit and soul to live upon the earth). The spirit and soul are eternal, but, because of Adam’s fall, the body will return to the dust from which it came. But the good news is that you will not. You will live forever in My Kingdom with a glorified and immortal body, a spiritual body, a glorified body which will house your spirit and soul in My Kingdom forever. The real you is your spirit. The flesh is useless for attaining holiness, it must be directed purposely by your spirit and soul, for it is the spirit that gives life. My Words are the food of your spirit and soul and give health to your body, for My Words are Spirit and Life.
Your spirit must take authority over your soul and body. And you can only do this if your spirit is strong. And to be strong you must feed your spirit and exercise your spirit, and the food for your spirit is My Word, which is breathed by My Spirit. In My Word, My Spirit can build up your spirit and My Spirit is HOLY so holy that My Spirit is called the Holy Spirit. And the exercise for your spirit is speaking My Word as your own and making it your ultimate authority no matter what your soul or flesh throw at you, for the spirit and the flesh are not in agreement so one must take dominion over the other. And the one that is being fed and exercised the most will win, and what is in your soul determines the match.
My servant Paul, by My Holy Spirit, gives you the answer of what to do with your body and soul to walk in the holiness that is now in your spirit as a new creation in Christ: “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2.
What does it mean to offer your body as a living and HOLY sacrifice acceptable to Me? It is really simple but very profound and not at all profane. It is about exercising your dominion authority over the world according to My purposes instead of those of the devil. (Remember that I gave dominion over the earth to mankind so that you who are in the flesh have the authority to bind and loose on earth, I only can work in the world through the ones who choose to exercise their authority for My purposes). In other words, by giving Me free reign to heal, bless, forgive, teach, and witness through you. Giving Me your hands as the Body of Christ on earth to do the works I have prepared in advance for you to do. The works Jesus did and greater, for He totally gave Me full reign to do My Works through His dominion authority so that I could be in Him reconciling the world to Myself. My servant Paul put it like this by My Spirit, “For just as you presented your body and its members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your body and its members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.” Romans 6:19.
And to do all this you must renew your mind, Because Adam no longer valued communication with Me and became what he thought to be an “independent” thinker, he no longer thought as I do. He thought like the devil, who is a deceiver and liar from the beginning. His thoughts became evil and corrupt, resulting in evil and corrupt deeds by him and his descendants who followed his ways.
My thoughts are above your thoughts and My ways above your ways, but I share My thoughts with you in the Spirit-breathed written Word of the Bible and the Words spoken in your heart by My Spirit. I send My Word down for you like seed to plant and those who receive it and grow it and return it to Me receive what is in My Word—healing, provision, power, goodness, and purity. There were people who would receive My Word and obey it and become holy by faith, such as Abraham and his descendants, whom he taught to follow and obey My Word.
In order to live holy there is only one way you will do it. And that is by meditating upon, speaking, reading, hearing, proclaiming, and sharing, My Word and listening to anointed teaching on My Word. You must gather with other believers to share My Word in prophecy and study, in praying as one in the Spirit, and encouraging one another. The more diligence you give to this and the more value and honor you give My Word in your life, the more holy you will become. And you will have joy therein. I am filled with joy and it has to do with the purity of holiness.
I want to share My Holiness and My joy with you. And I can only do it by My Word. And My Word became flesh and dwelt among you and He is your Teacher. And now, when He ascended on high, He did not leave you orphans but gave gifts to you of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the believers for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until you all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of Jesus, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13. And He is Holy. He is the mystery of godliness among you, joining your humanity to My divinity and My divinity to your humanity.
The advice I gave Joshua still is the same to you, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9. I am with you and I am holy.
Therefore, in reference to your former manner of life, lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Ephesians 4:22-23. Renew your mind by eating the bread of My Word every day and declaring it over all you do and are.
I love you. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is My will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22.
