“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24.

Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness. 1 Chronicles 16:29.

Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy mountain, for holy is the LORD our God. Psalm 99:9.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I am seeking those who worship in spirit and in truth. Why? Because they bring the atmosphere of the Kingdom of Heaven to earth, and it is there, where the Kingdom comes, that My Will, which is good, perfect, and delightful, can be done. My eyes are diligently seeking those whose hearts are towards Me so I can show Myself strong on their behalf. 2 Chronicles 16:9. I want to dwell among you and fill your lives with good things till you overflow in an abundance of good works. You enthrone Me in your life by your praises.

Jesus was a worshipper, rejoicing in the Holy Spirit and only speaking My Words, and He went about doing good. And what do you see Him doing as He walked among you on earth? Manifesting My Name as healer and provider, redeemer and savior. And for you who believe in Him, I have created you anew in Him unto a life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance—to do the works He did and greater. But where does this power and provision come to you? Only one way, in worship, the true worship that is done in spirit and truth. Until you become a true worshipper not much will be taking place beyond the ordinary in your life.

And that is today’s life lesson as I teach you to walk in worship: “How to Worship in Spirit and in Truth.” All your prayers should be nested in worship so that I can show Myself strong on your behalf and make you strong in Me too. It is in worship I teach you spiritual warfare and equip you for every good deed and work. Hebrews 13:20-21. Worship brings you into the glory and brings the glory down to earth in you. And all you need is in the Glory, which is My presence, My goodness, and My power in the radiance of the beauty of holiness.

How do you worship in spirit and in truth so that you can bring life into every situation and place? My Word is spirit and life and My Word is truth. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. I sent My Word and healed you and delivered you from all your destructions. I am constantly stressing to you the importance of renewing your mind to My Word to have success in your prayers and in your life. My Will is found in My Word for every situation you face. And if you pray according to My Will, I hear you, and you know that when I hear you that what you have asked is yours. If you abide in My Word and My Word abides in you, you may ask what you will and it will be done for you.

So how are you heard at the throne of grace so that you come with joyful confidence to RECEIVE mercy and FIND grace for help just when you need it? Well I tell you that you are coming in with Jesus, the High Priest of your CONFESSION and you are not to let go of your CONFESSION. For the righteous shall live by FAITH (in spirit) and if they draw back I take no pleasure in them because they stop My ability to flow the promise to, in and through them.

In the Greek language in which it was originally breathed by My Spirit, the word you translate as “confession” or “profession” is HOMOLOGIA, which means saying the SAME Word in perfect agreement from your heart. Not a parrot but coming from your spirit, that is, your inner man of the heart. Your mouth speaks from your heart’s abundance.

Worship is not limited to one form of prayer, such as petition, but covers all kinds of prayer, but it is more. True worship brings you knowledge of who I AM to you and who you are to me. And it holds you there in security for ever greater levels of revelation—great and mighty things you could not know in your mental intellect.

Solomon, if you look back at his prayers at the dedication of the magnificent house he built for Me, was a worshipper and he became the wisest and the richest man on the earth. But later he turned away from true worship to worship idols and he lost his great wisdom and the kingdom divided and headed for ruin after his reign. If he had remained in the atmosphere of worship as his father David did, it would have held him in wisdom and power. Turning away from true worship in that one man, Solomon, set an example that the majority of his descendants would follow and his worship of idols destroyed Israel until the Assyrians and Chaldeans conquered it and burned My magnificent house, where kings after Solomon had set up idols, to the ground and My people were carried away from My land.

And what brought them back? Worshippers who knew how to worship with My Word before Me. Like Daniel. Like Jeremiah. Like Ezekiel. Like Esther. Like Ezra. Like Nehemiah. And it was My Word that brought My people back and miraculously provided the funds for rebuilding the temple—a place of worship. And what did those exiles, who returned to build My house anew, do after they laid the foundation? “Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD according to the directions of King David of Israel. They sang, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, saying, “For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever.” And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.” Ezra 3:10-13. They worshipped.

Worship in spirit and truth is rooted and grounded in My Word. It is bringing My Word and lifting My Word up before Me out of your spirit in reverence and honor as a precious treasure to you with shouts of praise and thanksgiving at what I am doing for you by that Word going to work in you and through you to others. In true worship you grab hold of My Word and hold it up to Me. “Put Me in remembrance, let us judge (the word in the original Hebrew here is “shaphat (שָׁפַט),” which means to judge or govern) your situation (saphar: to count, recount, relate: סָפַר) together; state your cause, that you may be justified (made righteous) (tsadeq (צָדַק).” Isaiah 43:25-26. Put Me in remembrance of My Word in worship. It does not return to Me void. I watch over My Word to perform it and we will apply it to your account together.

I tell you to cast down imaginations, speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the true knowledge of Me, which is knowledge of My Word, and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. And what was Christ’s obedience? He took all your sins upon His own body and died on the cross, bearing the punishment for your sins which in obedience He took as His own. Which means you are free of your sins and any thought (fiery dart) aimed into your mind from the devil that tells you that you are not forgiven, loved, blessed, and righteous now in Christ needs to be cast down and rejected by you. Any thought that you are under the curse of sickness, pain, poverty or eternal death but be destroyed. Take it captive and refuse to allow it to stay.

But I do not tell you not to imagine things in keeping with My Word. When you worship, imagine yourself before My throne of grace surrounded by that glorious rainbow and coming across the floor of crystal clear spun gold, and see yourself seated there with Me as we converse. But you must enter with thanksgiving and songs and shouts of joyful praise, as I instruct you in My Word. And the Hebrew word for “worship” is “shachah,” which simply means to bow down שָׁחָה. And you will see that when people worship they throw themselves down on the ground, even in the book of Revelation. Why? The weight of the glory and the overwhelming purity and goodness you sense in My presence. Holiness is overwhelming in its beauty and purity as well.

And most often this bowing down is in thanksgiving for the blessing received or that is to be received from My promise or prophecy, such as the leper before Jesus who was cleansed and as when My prophet delivered the message to Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah, after they had prayed and worshipped in the temple together, that I would fight their battle for them. There is a reverence, a holy awe, that brings to mind your littleness in the magnitude of My presence, for I fill the universe. When My cloud of glory appeared in the temple, the people would shout and fall to the ground in worship.

“Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.” Psalm 95:7. A humble heart is a hearing heart, My Son was meek and humble of heart and He constantly heard from Me and did extraordinary works of excellence, a proud heart is a hard, resistant heart that cannot hear. I give grace to the humble and resist the proud. Why? The proud are resisting Me. The humble are recognizing Me as their source and not they themselves.

And in worship you converse with Me about My Word in spirit and truth. Worship can be emotional but it is NOT based on your emotions, it is based on spirit and truth. Do not just come saying “I love you,” though that is excellent as I ask you to love Me with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, mind but like David say “I love you, O LORD, my strength, my rock, my deliverer, my refuge, my shepherd! Praised be the LORD! You deliver me from my enemies!” Hold up My Word in praise, “O LORD, you are my shepherd, you supply for all my needs in every way according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus!” Learn to worship when you are faced with a financial need and thank Me for filling it as you remind Me of My Word promising to do so. When you are attacked with a court battle or other weapon against you, worship and praise as you present that need it all its detail to Me, but end that prayer with “Thank you, LORD, My victory, for no weapon formed against Me shall prosper and every tongue raised against Me I will put down, for My righteousness and vindication comes from you!” And shout joyfully over the victory before you see it.

Exalt My Word and My many covenant Names, love rehearsing them before Me as you bring them to your and My remembrance so we can govern the situation together by the supply in the Name that covers your need.

And go back and rehearse again and tell of the wonders and good things I have done for you in your life—your salvation in Christ, they ways I have brought good things to you or opened up opportunities, the friends I have sent to you, the helpers and the guides, the times I have healed you and financially saved you. Worship with Scripture and your own experience of My faithfulness. And I will remind you of the things you have done that I have been so pleased with in you. Let us sing together in remembrance of all the good I have done and have stored up for you for now and forever.

Worship is not just out of your intellect or emotions; it is a matter of the heart. You believe with your heart, for your head will find things impossible that I have spoken to your heart and try to take your hope away. Worship will bring the hope back in your heart. And as you worship and stir up the faith in your heart spontaneous combustion takes place within you, raising you up to a whole new level. Worship sets your heart on fire and ready to receive all I have promised.

Do I need worship? I am complete, but you need it to become complete in Me, that is, to become all I made you to be and to have all I want to pour in you and through you to release the treasures of Heaven into the earth. When you are a true worshipper, I can manifest in your life. I can move in, with and through you to bless you and all on earth. As I did with faithful Abraham.

But the devil also is after your worship (that is, your attention), as he was with Jesus, to move through, in and with you to curse you and all on earth. Like he has done with various dictators and governing officials.

In Worship, full attention from the heart in faith is on Me and off yourself, rejecting contrary words, imaginations, and thoughts, recognizes My ability and pulls it into you through faith. I am present as your helper. If you do not trust in My ability to perform My Word in your life, you cannot truly worship.

Worshipping in spirit and truth opens your vessel to Me and turns you into a vessel of honor useful for every good and excellent work.

And worship is ultimately and essentially between you and Me. It is not for showing off how holy you are in a congregation. It is not mere lip service. It is of the heart and it is constant, whether anyone is there or not. You do not hide it in public but you do not only do it when others are looking. It is just as earthshaking and mountain moving in the privacy of your bedroom when the bad news has come and there is no one there but you and Me and you do not despair and complain and blame, but you worship seeking answers and wonders, as it is in a church shouting songs of praise with everyone urging you on. So long as it is from your heart in spirit and in truth you are at My throne of grace as with an audience of one, Me. But that is the only One with which you have to do and also I am the only One that can solve your problem with unending supply that will never run dry. And Worship puts you in the flow if My glory where all good resides. Do not be whining and begging, instead worship until the glory comes and then you will find that all you need and more is right there for the taking in the glory.

And now I will give you a psalm, Psalm 145, that will teach you the elements of worship:

I will extol You, my God, O King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised,
And His greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
5 On the glorious splendor of Your majesty
And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
6 Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts,
And I will tell of Your greatness.
7 They shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness
And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.
8 The LORD is gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
9 The LORD is good to all,
And His mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD,
And Your godly ones shall bless You.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom
And talk of Your power;
12 To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
14 The LORD sustains all who fall
And raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to You,
And You give them their food in due time.
16 You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways
And kind in all His deeds.
18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry and will save them.
20 The LORD keeps all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,
And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

I love you. Worship brings the atmosphere of My Kingdom and the devil cannot enter My Kingdom, Jesus cast him out when He took back the throne of the Son of Man. Isn’t it time you begun to worship in spirit and truth? It will bring the glory and the anointing into your life and that will give you everything and more. For I am spirit, and you must worship Me in spirit and in truth. And I am seeking such worshippers, My eyes are looking for them, can you say that My eyes would stop on you as the one I am seeking?
