And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony. Revelation 12:11.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
You do not even have a clue of the power that dwells in you who are in Christ Jesus or you would make use of it.
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21.
It is like having a double barrel shotgun and never shooting down an enemy coming to take your life with only a water pistol.
You may think that sounds strange, but I will show you in My Word. In the book of Revelation, I show you many things you would be blessed to consider. Revelation 1:3. Let me take you to a passage in chapter 12. “And the serpent threw water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon threw out of his mouth. So the dragon was enraged with the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” Revelation 12:15-17.
The devil and his demons throw floods of trouble at you OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS. Do you see that? I describe him in this way, “the great dragon, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world,” “a liar and the father of all lies,” and “the accuser of the brethren who accuses them before Me day and night.” Revelation 12:9-10; John 8:44. My Son told you about the devil that “he was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44.
He has no power to take your life except by deception, by lies, but if you listen to them he will drive you into the outer darkness and you will perish, for he comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, you and your children. His accusations and forebodings, his threats that come from what he stirs up and delivers out of hell as the prince of the air and the “god” of this world by Adam’s release of his authority to the devil. He spews out and stirs up storms, disasters, pandemics, divisions, wars, immorality, as well as torments from your past and fears of the future, threats of men that he has taken captive to do his will, lawsuits, anger, murders, violence, and accusations of guilt, shame, and condemnation, he will stir up as much as he can and flood you until you go down but it all came from a water pistol that you could have stopped when it started instead of being swept away by one squirt.
I have given you the weapons you need to easily make him flee, use them and be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer only. Submit to Me, by acting upon My Word as your ultimate authority to determine what you need to bind and rebuke and what you need to loose and call in, resist him and he will flee from you. Put your foot down and stand your ground, for you are standing on the rock of My Word and no house built on that rock can be shaken or knocked down by any torrent, flood, or storm. Matthew 7:25; Luke 6:48.
The anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God, i.e., My children born again out of the devil’s adoption as a new creation to your true birthright in Me by the imperishable seed of My Word, to set it free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of My children. You are to still the storms, like Jesus, and turn back the floods pouring from the devil’s mouth. Lies. And you stop his lies only one way, the truth, and you know what that is. My Word is truth. John 17:17.
How do you overcome the devil and all his schemes? By the blood of the Lamb and the Word of YOUR testimony.
And that is today’s life lesson on what to do when the devil attacks: “Take up the double-barrel shotgun.
Now I will show you what your double barrel is, and a shotgun with a double barrel can shoot near and far and can fire continually without pause. It is the best way to shoot down a flock of birds who are stealing the seed of My Word and trying to plant theirs in your heart.
So what is the double barrel? It is the two-edged sword. Hebrews 4:12. I told you quite clearly in the same chapter of Revelation where you see the devil with his water pistol and where you see Mary as the sign of the Son of Man revealed from the Ark of the Covenant after the seventh seal is broken and she is shown as the sign of born again Israel for the second coming. And how did they overcome the accuser of the brethren? “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony.” Revelation 12:11. The double barrel shotgun and the two-mouthed sword.
Shoot it and destroy every thought contrary to My Word, every thought that is not in obedience to what I say about you who are in Christ. And indeed, anything that does not line up with the Words from My mouth.
Why do you listen to his words above Mine, like Adam did? You must see it made Adam lose all when he very easily could have made the devil flee by simply refusing to listen to his lies. But Eve and Adam listened to the voice of the stranger, the liar and the father of lies, and they adopted his lies as their own thoughts even though they contradicted My Words. No, you must shoot his lies and misrepresentations of the truth that is found in Jesus down no matter how high they are flying or how near they come, that is why you have a double barrel shotgun. And the devil hates it when you get it out. That is why the first thing he will steal from you is My Word. If he can make you doubt My Word and say the opposite to it, he has already taken out the long-range barrel of your shotgun, for swiftly runs My Word. I only say the Word and it is sent forth to heal and deliver from destruction. You can stop a hurricane in a distant land with it. And My Word is summed up in one Word, the Aleph to the Tav, the Alpha to the Omega, in whom all riches lie, and that one Word is a Name above every other Name that will put an end to all his tactics and silence the storm, for it is the only Name given among men by which you are saved, and it is the Name that casts every demon out: JESUS. Declare that Jesus is Lord and you will force the enemy to his knees.
And next the devil will go after the blood and stop all talk of the blood of Jesus. Then he has taken out the short-range blast that ends it all in close bloody combat. Because it is by the blood that you are forgiven and made righteous before Me. And he knows if you are established in righteousness, he cannot oppress you or cause you to fear Me. Established in righteousness you are far from oppression. “In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you.” Isaiah 54:14-15. And the devil is the oppressor. And when he assails you or your children, stop it there, no nonsense, use your double barrel shotgun, all he is fighting with is a water pistol.
Put Me like a seal (signet) over your heart, like a seal on your arm, for love is stronger than death, and through the atoning death of My Son, by His blood, I have rendered powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and freed those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15.
My prophet Isaiah under the inspiration of My Spirit wrote, and here I will translate it literally from the original language it was written in (Spirit-breathed in), which is Hebrew, “When comes in like a flood the enemy (in Hebrew, “sar,” a prince, oppressor, adversary), the Spirit (“ruach,” which means spirit, breath, and wind, you will see it translated all those ways but it is always the same word) (on Pentecost, My Spirit came as a mighty rushing wind, and wind releases POWER, if you disagree consider what windmills are for) of the LORD puts him to flight.” Isaiah 59:19. This is the literal translation of the Hebrew as this passage was originally written. But look closer, My breath, My Spirit, My wind drives at him and forces him to flee. My Words are Spirit-breathed. 2 Timothy 3:16. Actually that scripture in Greek is “God breathed,” but My breath is My Spirit, I send forth My Spirit and renew the face of the earth. After I raised Him from the dead as LORD, Jesus breathed on His disciples and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:22.
The word in this passage from My prophet Isaiah, you often see translated as that My Spirit lifts the standard to turn back the flood of the enemy. But the word there is not “standard,” in Hebrew it is “nus” and it is in the Po’lel or perfect tense. Nus means to flee, but in the perfect it means you make another flee. In passages where that word is used it is translated as “to put to flight,” for example, “How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight?” Deuteronomy 32:30.
David sang, “Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of buckler and shield and rise up for my help. Draw also the spear and the battle-axe to meet those who pursue (“radaph:” to pursue, chase, persecute) me. Say to my soul, “I am your salvation (“Yeshuah:” salvation, the Name of Jesus in Hebrew).” Let those be ashamed and dishonored who seek my soul. Let those be turned back and humiliated who devise evil against me. Let them be like chaff before the wind (“ruach”), with the angel of the LORD driving (“dachah:” to push, thrust) them on. Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing (“radaph:” to pursue, chase, persecute) them.” Psalm 35:1-6. My wind driving the enemy away like chaff. And David lived before Isaiah, but My Word is Spirit-breathed and My Spirit rushed upon David the day Samuel anointed him king and never left him.
Submit to Me, that is, listen only and obey My Word and not the lies the devil tells you about yourself and others, RESIST THE DEVIL, and he will FLEE FROM YOU. You will put him to flight, not by your power or might but by My Holy Spirit.
For as for Me, this is My covenant with you, My Spirit which is upon you, and My Words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring, from now and forever.” Isaiah 59:21.
And that comes right after Isaiah 59:19, which I just discussed with you in its Hebrew translation: “So they will fear the name of the LORD from the west and His את glory from the rising of the sun, for like a flood comes the enemy, but the wind (breath, Spirit) of the LORD puts him to flight (drives at him). A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob. As for Me, this is My covenant with them, My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring, from now and forever. Isaiah 59:16-21.
David sang, “Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:6-7. But what is the secret at the end of that Psalm? Yes, you guessed it, the voice of thanksgiving. “Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.” Psalm 32:10-11.
You shall decree a thing and it will come to pass. You are a royal priesthood by the blood of My Son. You have the same Spirit of faith so as you believe in your heart, you speak with your mouth. Speak to the mountain, the storm, and the devil. He only uses words and that is the only way you can win, not with your own words, but with Mine, for truth always vanquishes a lie. So you shoot him and all his shenanigans with the Blood and the Word of your testimony. My Word out of your mouth. I put it there. And the Holy Spirit speaks of Jesus. Your savior. And so should you. Declare Jesus is Lord and that ends all the wiles of the enemy.
Remember, all he has is a water pistol but you have a double barrel shotgun. Next time he starts releasing the flood of trouble into your life, take out your double-barreled shotgun IMMEDIATELY and put him to flight with My angel chasing him. And it releases even more power if you sing My Word with the voice of thanksgiving.
And the voice of thanksgiving as defined in My word is looking to Me the minute trouble hits, finding the promise in My Word that solves your problem, throwing yourself face down in worship as you praise the great work of deliverance I am doing for you, and rising up and with LOUD voice shout the result I promise with praise and thanksgiving before you see it manifest. It will follow, signs and wonders follow My Word. Strangely wonderful things. Nothing is too wonderful for Me. Never forget that and shoot, long range and short, continuous fire of the Spirit.
I love you. Jesus made all the difference. He conquered the devil and you come into His gain. He gave you His authority. Never submit to listening to the lies of the devil. He is subtle, so if you do not examine the thoughts that come to you based upon the truth of My Word you will think they are your own thoughts, but thoughts that cause you fear, depression, anxiety, shame, doubt, and offense are not and you must not keep silent, you must shoot them down with My Word and protect yourself with the blood of Jesus. Keep My Word in your heart and in your mouth and you will always have your double barrel shotgun aka a double edged sword ready for attack. Read, speak, hear, and study My Word so you have plenty of ammunition in your shotgun before the heat of the battle begins.
