Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:6-7.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Today I want to talk with you about three things that you must watch very carefully if you want to live days of Heaven on earth. These are not the only three, in fact there are many more, but these are the most common three “blessing blockers” that actually open the door to the devil in the lives of those who believe in Me and actually do love Me and wonder why they do not have the kind of abundant life I offer. Many just stay in the rut where they are and call it My Will for their lives, but it is not. It actually is tolerated disobedience on their part.
Here are the three things that many believers do that take them out of the flow of Heaven on earth: (i) loss of peace; (ii) living off the path of good deeds I prepared for them in advance in Christ Jesus; and (iii) lack of gratitude. I warn you against all three of these often in both the Old and New Covenants, but many perish for lack of knowledge and lack of understanding.
And that is today’s life lesson on Heaven and how to live days of Heaven on earth: “Stay in Peace, Walk in God’s Path for Your Life, and be Thankful.” And if you are not living the abundant life Jesus has given you, you should do an assessment of yourself in these areas. And do it with My help, given by My Holy Spirit in you to guide you to all truth and to remind you of all I have said.
“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.” Colossians 2:6-7. In this passage you see all three at work and how to obtain them: (i) established in faith you will be at peace in any storm firmly rooted and built up in Christ, who is My Word, as on a solid rock foundation; (ii) walking in Christ you are walking in the way, the truth and the life, He is the way to Me and you are My workmanship, created anew in Christ Jesus for good works, which I prepared beforehand so that you would walk in them, Ephesians 2:10; and (iii) overflowing with gratitude. And that overflow comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit:
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:15-17. Here again you see the same three: (i) the peace of Christ (which He gave you the night before He died for you, John 14:27) RULING in your hearts; (ii) doing all your works, whether in word or deed, in the Name of Jesus; (iii) being thankful and giving thanks in psalms, hymns and spirit songs that you keep gong constantly in your heart.
When the woman with the hemorrhage of blood decided to seek healing from the power resident in My Son, she had not had any peace for twelve years. She was seeking and seeking a cure but no one could give you one. She had exhausted her savings and she now was worse physically and materially. She had years of no peace and now she had no peace about her future welfare. But she heard about My Son and suddenly she had hope beyond hope, she had faith to be healed. And her faith connected with My healing power resident in Jesus and she was healed instantly. My Son told her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you (made you whole); go into peace and be healed of your scourge.” Mark 5:34. He told her that when she went she must enter into peace. He told her first her faith had obtained her healing and restoration of wholeness, but then He told her to go into peace and be healed, that is, stay healed.
You must understand how the devil gets into your life to bring you the curse again though Jesus redeemed you from the curse. If you are not at peace. If she felt some pain again or saw some blood come from her the devil would immediately try to tell her she was not truly healed and her illness had returned. If she got into fear, worry, stress and unease about it, then he had the opening to bring it in and bring it in at any even higher level than before. You must not give in to drama and venting when anything contrary comes against you or you will open yourself to it.
The devil got into Job’s life like a flood. How did that happen? Let Job tell you: “And my cries pour out like water. For what I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet, and I am not at rest, but turmoil comes.” Job 3:24-26.
When I raised Christ from the dead and He entered the upper room and stood before the disciples, they were fearful, but His first Word to them was “Peace be with you.” Stay in peace. Do not let your hearts be troubled, do not let them be afraid. That is not a pretty suggestion, but a command My Son gave you when He gave you His peace the night before He took on and died for all your sins. If having your sins taken off you does not give you peace then nothing will.
How do you stay in peace when you face various trials, temptations and tests? How do you stay in peace when Satan is trying to steal your health, your finances, your family, and your destiny? You speak peace as Jesus did. He spoke peace to the storm. He spoke peace to His disciples. He spoke peace to the troubled in heart. You simply say to the thought, the situation, the need, “Oh no you don’t Satan.” And then you turn to Me, cast that care on Me, reaffirm My ability to fix it for nothing is impossible with Me and all things are possible to those who believe that, and just smile and be assured I am taking care of it. Then you pray three simple words to Me with total confidence, “Please help me.” And then ask Me what to do. And when you are in peace, I can tell you and you will hear and proceed to be the problem solver in the situation. BUT if you go off into drama, venting, begging, weeping, pulling on other people to meet your need, and, even worse, into panic and start confirming the result the devil is trying to achieve in your terrorized words, you cannot hear from Me and I can do nothing to help you because I cannot get it through to you.
Even though some of them were professional fisherman that should have been used to storms on the sea, when the squall hit the boat as they crossed to the country of the Gerasenes, the disciples were screaming at Jesus that they were going to perish as he slept and accused Him of showing no concern for their plight. He stood up perfectly calm and rebuked the wind and calmed the sea. He then asked them where their faith was. And often I could ask many of you that same question when a trouble hits. I already have the solution for you, but if you just grumble and scream at Me about My lack of care for you there is really nothing I can do unless you have someone of the faith of Jesus with you in your boat or wherever. If Jesus had not been on earth as one of them at that time it would have been hard to save them in their panic.
If you allow yourself to pick up on the fiery darts of the devil he will make you imagine that every headache is a brain tumor, that every pain is a defective bone or joint, that every minor cold is a major disease that will cause you to die, that every dip in your finances will put you into foreclosure and poverty, that you can’t afford to tithe and feed your family, and a host of other dire consequences. If you let your mind follow these imaginations you will never live in peace and never step out in faith to cast out demons, heal the sick, and do projects for the Kingdom. To live in peace you have to be confident of My ever present help and desire to bless you in every situation. Most importantly you have to believe that what I promise I will perform.
Abraham, whom I call your father in the faith, got to know Me well and at that point He believed that what I said, I did, no matter how impossible it seemed according to the physical circumstances so that “not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Romans 4:19-22. It is then you can stay in peace no matter what the circumstances. You know the One in whom you have believed, and that I will deliver you out of all things that come against you. “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17.
In Jesus you are forgiven and all your sins are gone. I put all your sins on Him and He gave you His righteousness, which is My righteousness, the very righteousness of God and there is no higher righteousness. Once you know this, Satan can no longer successfully accuse you of being unrighteous and displeasing to Me, telling you that I am punishing you by illness, pain or problems, for that is not the case. Nothing evil comes from Me, nothing that steals, kills or destroys. You can tread on those as from the enemy. “In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you.” Isaiah 54:14-15.
And this should give you peace in any storm. But you have to stay in peace. You have to hold yourself there by taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
Learn to practice peace. Stop complaining, grumbling, and venting every time something comes against you. Stay in peace and cast the care on Me as you answer the situation or thought with My Word, rebuke the devil, and turn to praise and thanksgiving, that is, live a lifestyle of worship and you will stay in peace.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:4-9.
To stay in peace you must be filled with My Word. You must meditate on it day and night. “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9. You must assimilate into My Word. That is the language you need to know to stay in peace. If you know you have a Healer you will not fear sickness, especially when you know your Healer bore you sicknesses and pains and carried them away from you. Which Jesus did. Isaiah 53:3-6.
And to keep the devil out of your life you must be walking in My Will, My plan, for your life. That is where you are anointed to be and the anointing lifts the burden and destroys the yoke. And to walk in the life of good deeds I created you for and prepared for you in Christ Jesus, you must be full of My Word so that you know what directions are from Me and which are the voice of the stranger. My sheep know My voice and a stranger they will not follow.
You also must be able to follow the lead and instruction of the Holy Spirit, for those who led by My Spirit are My children. It is not hard to hear from Me. Call on Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know. Jeremiah 33:3. Get in the habit of asking Me questions during the day about how to do things in your job, in your family, in your schoolwork, in your needs, in your pains, in your joy, and you will find that I am your wonderful counselor, your Father forever, your Almighty God, your Healer, your Provider, your Deliverer, your Refuge, your Fortress, and your Helper. I am your everlasting rock. And I give you all this in Jesus so it fits in your humanity and you fit in My divinity. You are Mine and I am yours forever. I am with you and I am for you. You have nothing to fear.
Never depart from close contact with Me and you will not sin. I will keep you. Do not go into areas that would compromise your path. Pray in the Spirit and take the time to listen and I will show you things. Wonderful things. Take the time to look at Me.
And be thankful for everything good in your life. See the good, do not be looking for the bad in everyone. Celebrate the good in them and then when you correct the evil they will not be offended. Lead people to a higher place with you, do not bicker with and complain about others. Do not give in to evil but keep yourself in peace and thankful praise, keep yourself in the sacred place.
At this season of your life keep focused on the things of the Spirit, the things that really matter eternally, and do not spend your lives on things that please the ungodly but do nothing for the grand work of saving other’s souls.
Never forget the voice of thanksgiving, it works wonders. Thank Me for the answer before it manifests and you shall have it.
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2. This will keep you on the path of life that I have prepared for you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
I love you. Examine yourself if you are not walking in the abundant life and see if you are lacking in any of these three areas: staying in perfect peace (this takes diligence but I have given you the spirit of self-control), walking in My Will, and giving constant thanks (overflowing with gratitude), and adjust accordingly so you can say with My servant Paul: “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.” Philippians 4:11.
“Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things; therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and the enemy will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.” Deuteronomy 28:47-48.
