They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:17.

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

In Heaven, there is a river of the water of life, shining, magnificent, bright, and splendid as crystal, coming from My throne and of the Lamb

“Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (éthnos, from ethō, “forming a custom, culture” – properly, people joined by practicing similar customs or common culture).” Revelation 22:1-2.

In the original Greek in which it was first inspired and spoken forth to men, the word translated as “clear” is “lampros (λαμπρός),” which means “shining, magnificent, bright, splendid.” This gives you a better image of the breathtaking beauty of the water of life. The river of the water of life is shining, magnificent, bright, and splendid. It is the river from which Jesus received from Me and poured down upon believers when Pentecost was fulfilled and all who received the flow were filled with the Holy Spirit. And that is still the way it works.

And today’s Life Lesson on Heaven is “Drink the Water of Life.”

“Now on the last day, the great day of the feast of Tabernacles, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39.

But let us back up a bit and find how you get to the place of drinking of the living water, for you are all invited to do so. In fact, that is My last invitation to you in the Bible, “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without cost.” Revelation 22:17. You must be thirsty for and earnestly desire the water of life and be willing to act to receive it. Desire earnestly the spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 14:1.

“How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.” Psalm 36:7-9.

If you at this time in your life upon the earth have entered a dark place where you have lost joy and feel weary, burdened and have pain and see your years slipping away without hope—a dry and barren space, there is an easy solution. I have diagnosed you already. You are simply dehydrated and dying of thirst and you do not even know it.

And the answer? Drink. And drink a lot, but a very specific water that you must drink to be filled with joy. And how do you get this water? Ask Jesus to give you a drink. “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10. And it is freely given. No cost to you, but it cost My Son every drop of His blood as man upon the earth. He came so you could drink and be filled with living water. “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a spring (fountain, wellspring) of water leaping (springing, bubbling) up to eternal life.” John 4:14.

I sent Jesus and raised Jesus from the dead as your great good Shepherd.

“Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21.

Jesus fulfills My Name of “Yahweh Roi,” “The LORD is my Shepherd.” If you want to live days of Heaven on earth you must have Jesus as your Shepherd, you must be one of His flock and not that of a stranger for it has pleased Me to give you, the little flock of My Son, the Kingdom now. Luke 12:32. And do you know that is how Jesus brings you to Heaven? As your Shepherd. But that is also how the devil brings you to hell, as your shepherd. Be sure you know the voice of your Shepherd and do not follow the stranger’s voice. My Son came as your good Shepherd to lay down His life for you and to give you abundant life. The devil only comes as your shepherd to steal, kill, and destroy you. John 10:10-11. “This is the way of those who are foolish, and of those after them who approve their words. As sheep they are appointed for hell; death shall be their shepherd . . . their form shall be for Sheol to consume So that they have no habitation.” Psalm 49:14. But for you who follow the good Shepherd, “But God will redeem my soul from the hand of hell, for He will receive me.” Psalm 49:14. Once you have placed yourself in the hands of Jesus as your good Shepherd you are in My hand as well and there is no snatching out of My hand. I sealed you in Him and He will raise you up to be clothed in your glorious body on the last day.

“They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17.

The Lamb in the midst of My throne, in the very center of who I am, where you are also now seated in Him in the Spirit, is your Shepherd now and forever. When I took John in the Spirit up to the third Heaven, My glorious Kingdom, that is where He saw Jesus, in the very midst of the throne of majesty. And that brilliant river of delightful life giving water is flowing from our throne.

And do you see where He guides you? To springs of the water of life. And it is there that every tear is wiped from your eyes—even now. Do you want joy unspeakable filled with glory? Let the good Shepherd guide you to the living water and drink until you are so full of the Holy Spirit you overflow in rivers of living water—all nine gifts of the Spirit in full operation in your life, flowing out for the benefit of all. “With joy you shall draw water at the springs of Salvation (Yeshuah).” Isaiah 12. I am your strength and your song.

And those springs of living water to which He guides you are welling up in you when you receive Him as your Lord and Shepherd. “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water leaping up to eternal life.” John 4:14.

If you are in a dark valley, your Shepherd will lead you out. For I have, in Him, already rescued you from the power of darkness and translated you to the Kingdom of My beloved Son, in whom you have redemption, the forgiveness of your sins by His blood. Colossians 1:13-14. If you really know and believe that truth, have a revelation of it, you will not permit Satan to ever lead you into a dark valley again, for you have already been rescued from that dark place into My own marvelous light (and to stay there you must be proclaiming “the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” 1 Peter 2:9).

But if you have followed Satan into a dark valley without realizing who was leading you and oppressing you there, it is time to follow your good Shepherd out of it. And how does He lead you now? By your inner guide, the Paraclete whom He sent you to be in you and on you forever who leads My children and guides them to all truth. And how do you have Him? You drink of the living water and He becomes the spring in you that joins you with the flow of the river from the throne, the river of delights.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside healing waters of rest. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Even though I walk through the dark valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6.

“How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart is the Way, passing through the valley of weeping they make it a spring.” Psalm 84:5-7.

Your good Shepherd leads you to stretch out in green pastures and to healing waters of rest. He restores your soul (your mind, your will, and your emotions). He guides you in ways of righteousness, for He is the Way, for His Name’s sake, you are His flock and He wants you to walk with Him so that people will see your good works and be drawn to Him as well. The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come,” and you who hear the voice of your Shepherd who is knocking at your heart must invite others as well—“you who hear say “Come!” Come where? To the springs of living water, and all who thirst and desire the life giving water will come to drink and be filled with eternal life to join with Heaven even now on the earth.

He sets a banquet table of My Word, the children’s bread, before you and your cup overflows! Filled with living water that never stops filling your cup as long as you will receive and not limit the flow by doubt, fear, and unbelief. “Even though I walk through the dark valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.” Keep speaking My Words, do not let them depart from your mouth for I am with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:8-9.

And a wonderful thing happens as each of your cups (inner man of the heart, treasure in the earthen vessel) overflows and the rivers of living water flow out of you to a thirsty world. Glory in our land. “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14.

And My Son, the good Shepherd, invites you as well, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

Drink! Ask Jesus for a drink! If you want joy in your life you must drink or you will dry up like a branch cast down from the vine. To drink you have to come to the living water.

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you.” Isaiah 55:1-3.

My Son, when He called out to all who were thirsty to come to Him to drink on the last day of the feast of Tabernacles spoke of the Holy Spirit to be given as a gift to all who believed in Him as Lord when He had been glorified at My right hand having purified you from your sins and having won eternal life for you. I told you that I send the Spirit to you through your joining with Him when He is glorified. That should give you a clue of how to obtain this life giving water, glorify Jesus. My Holy Spirit testifies to Jesus and you must as well. Glorify His Name.

“So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” Ephesians 5:17-20.

Do you remember when the Israelites were seeking a well I told them to sing to it and it would bubble up? Numbers 21:16-18. And it did. Learn from that. When it looks dry, sing in the Spirit (tongues) and with your understanding till the well springs up within you.

If you are in lack and pain, trapped in a place of fear and darkness, you are focused on the wrong kingdom. I rescued you from the kingdom of darkness and translated you to the Kingdom of My beloved Son. Simply change your focus from the devil’s thoughts and words to Mine. Seek first My Kingdom and My righteousness and everything will be added to you in the flow from Heaven, the fountain of life and river of delights by which the tree of life grows with its healing leaves and nourishing fruit.

Do not live in the barren waste of depression and fear, when I can turn your dry ground into pools of water and gushing rivers from Heaven if you just will drink.

You may be still wondering how you drink; it is not like physical water that you draw out of he faucet or well, that was at first the mistake the Samaritan woman made in the opening dialogue with Jesus by the well in Sychar. She was focused on the physical only and did not give place to the spiritual, but after a brief conversation with My Son, the Word of life made flesh, revelation came and she saw the Messiah. And when did that come? When He taught her how to drink living water. By worship in Spirit and truth from any place at any time.

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I AM, the one who is speaking to you.” John 4:23-26.

And she left her waterpot and ran off to bring the whole town to hear the Messiah. And she never thirsted again, not that she did not have to keep drinking physical water, but the emptiness and hopelessness in her spirit were gone forever. She found the true love she had been thirsting for in all the wrong places. And when she found the living water she ran to invite everyone from her town to come and experience the same. Let all who hear say, “Come!”

Do you remember when the Israelites in the desert redeemed out of the slavery of Egypt were thirsty for water how I have them gushing springs of water to give abundant drink to a myriad of people and livestock? Out of the rock. And My Spirit tells you through Paul, “For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ (the Messiah).” 1 Corinthians 10:1-4.

The rock from which the water gushed was Christ. And who is Christ? My Word made flesh dwelling among you and you have seen His glory and all received of His fullness, grace on top of grace. And to what do I liken My Word? “Therefore everyone who hears these Words of Mine and does them, is like to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27.

My Word is the rock from which the water is gushing to quench your thirst and to renew and wash your mind clean.

“Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:25-27.

And how does He wash you in that water with the Word? “You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.” John 15:3. By you hearing, meditating upon, speaking and singing My Word and doing it.

Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace.” Isaiah 55:6-12.

There is great joy and peace in believing. When you find My Word that fits your situation take it as a prophecy over your life, write it down and run with it. Hear it, speak it, ponder it, sing it, and do it.

Drink and never let yourself dehydrate again. Keep making melody in your heart. Keep speaking My Word to answer anything contrary that the devil puts along your path. And never go with the devil’s word and wander into the dark valley of the shadow of death. But if you get trapped, just change your focus off where he got you and look to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, your great good Shepherd and smile a big confident smile and say, “Lead Me Lord along the everlasting way.” And He will. And no matter what you need, I have a promise that fits it in My Word, so grab hold of that and don’t let go and you shall have what you say. But remember, it comes through praise and thanksgiving, you cannot even get into My gates or courts of Heaven without those companions. And peace and joy also must be your companions at all times.

I love you. Never let go of My Word until it comes to pass and you shall have it. But to be strong you must eat from the banquet of My Word and drink from your cup filled with living water till you overflow. And never forget this lesson, because you will need to drink every day and not just once a week, or once a month, or once a year, and some people never drink but just go through life a dry and barren bush. Do not let that be you. Stay planted in My House with your roots deep in the continuous live stream of living water. You will be full of sap and very green even in old age, bearing much fruit.
