After the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” Matthew 9:33.
Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.” Matthew 10:1.
And He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out the demons. Mark 1:39.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I have given you life, I do not stop there. I will give you more. You will see visions, you will dream dreams, you will see many wonderful things—dreams of beauty and of grace of perfect gifts and good things to take place.
With Me there are no limits to what can be. If you will listen and look you will see Kingdom plans in your life. Open wide your heart to receive and no longer grieve the Holy Spirit. I am with you to make a way. I am with you there today. Never fall prey to the devil’s words but answer with Mine.
Today demons are not identified as such but are accepted as part of a person’s make up, explained as a chemical imbalance or a medical problem or hereditary traits. But even though they may enter in and wreak havoc in a person’s body that become medical problems over years of entertaining them, the only solution is not to medicate them, discuss them as your own, or live with them but to CAST THEM OUT with no compromise. Watch Jesus in this for as He did you are to do and greater works are you to do. Jesus rebuked demons, saying, as he did in the synagogue at Capernaum in his encounter with a demon possessed man, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” Mark 1:25. And that was that.
Before a farmer can plant crops he has to clear out the weeds at the roots to have a good harvest and he has to keep it weeded. He has to kill the weeds at the roots. No good farmer would say that weeds, little foxes, and destroying insects were just part of his property and allow them to continue destroying his crops, he would do everything to get them out and kill them.
Or if you owned a piece of property and another moved in on it, you would take up your title deed and get them evicted off your property. And the judicial system would back you up. If you just permitted them to stay and did nothing to get them off your property, they would own it by adverse possession in about twenty years and own it legally so as to oust you. And that is what happens when you let the devil set up strongholds and dwelling places in you and do not cast him out.
You have to keep careful watch on your mind and your heart just as you do for your outward possessions. Think of your mind and body as the house your spirit lives in and, sing with David, “I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not fasten its grip on me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil.” Psalm 101:2-4.
The only thing Jesus told you to do with demons was to cast them out. “These attesting miracles will accompany those who have believed, in My Name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18. The first sign of a believer is they cast out demons. They clear the ground for miracles. And how do you get rid of the serpent and his fiery darts aimed at your mind and body? You pick him up and shake him off by My Word, like My apostle Paul did on the island of Malta, and the poisonous thoughts and symptoms he sent you to drink do not even hurt you at all. Instead you heal others just as you stay healed and healthy yourself.
And what do I tell you to do about the devil? Submit to Me (that means to My Words, making sure that you say My Words as final determination in any situation that comes up to challenge My promises), RESIST the devil (that means YOU do the resisting by speaking and doing My Word and not drawing back no matter what giant, storm or mountain he puts in your way), and he (the devil and his demons) will flee from you. James 4:7. No choice, angelic beings must obey the voice of My Word. Psalm 103:20. Do not let the thoughts or words he shoots against you remain in your mind for meditation and conversation in yourself and with others, the more you do this the more convinced you will become that My Word is not true. This is what Eve did in her continued conversation with the devil. She started out well by answering with My Word but then she kept listening to his debate and reasoning about it and gave in to doubt and unbelief and acted in direct rebellion to My Word. She explained to me that he had deceived her so she ate. That was not really a good excuse for someone that knew Me as well as she did. Genesis 3:13.
Now, let us look at the next miracle of Jesus in the gospel according to Matthew and you will see what to do with demons to have days of Heaven on earth.
This miracle occurs right after the healing of the two men who were blind but who, after confirming their faith, received healing from Jesus and left His home proclaiming what He had done for them loudly everywhere, though He had told them not to do that. Matthew 9:30-31. As they were going out from Jesus’ house, a mute, demon-possessed man was brought to Him. Matthew 9:32. Jesus did not waste time with the demon, and He observed that the demon had taken away the man’s ability to respond to the devil’s attack by making him mute. So Jesus answered for the silent man who had let the demon in at some point in his life by not responding. After the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” But the Pharisees were saying, “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.” Matthew 9:33-34. As Jesus said to them later, this is very illogical reasoning for if Satan is casting out demons his whole kingdom will fall.
Until Jesus came and showed you what to do with demons and gave you His authority to do so in His Name when I raised Him from the dead, Mark 16:17, the demons moved about looking for people who would give in to them and let them stay in them unhindered. People who knew My Word and kept My law and the sacrifices of the unblemished lamb, however, could keep demons out if they walked in My law. But now you have far more power over them and know better. Jesus divested and disarmed Satan and his followers, that is, the angels who fell with the devil when Jesus took back the throne of the Son of Man that Adam had usurped to the devil.
I do not want you to be unaware of the devil’s tactics and of the unclean spirits that accompany him and move at his command everywhere he roams upon the earth. Never let him catch you off guard. It is very important you answer every wrong thought or doubt he brings with the truth of My Word. Do not be surprised that he comes against you in various forms of adversity. He is trying to block your miracles when he sees your determination to walk in My Ways. Jesus told you that you would have tribulation in this life, but He told you to be of good cheer because He had overcome the world and He is now in you who believe. Greater is the One in you that he who is in the world. In Jesus you are united to the Kingdom of Heaven and that makes all the difference between you and the unbeliever. You have resources, angelic armies, power, and protection they do not have, only citizens of a country have legal rights to all the country’s benefits and laws. I have blessed you with all you need to be more than a conqueror.
Casting out demons is important. Otherwise they try to oppress you and take your territory over. The first miracle in the gospel according to Mark is the casting out of a demon in the synagogue at Capernaum. “They went into Capernaum; and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and began to teach. They were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” Mark 1:21-22. Jesus is your teacher and all of you are learners. Make it your goal to become like your teacher. And He was an amazing teacher of My Word for He is My Word and knows it better than anyone. Learn from Him. Like Martha’s sister Mary sitting at His feet, choosing the best part and the one thing necessary above all other things. To know Me the one true God and the One whom I sent, Jesus Christ your Lord. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions, to undo the works of the devil and bring you days of Heaven on earth. The abundant life.
As He was teaching and they were drinking in the revelation He was giving, just then, there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. Mark 1:23. Satan will do whatever he can to block people receiving My Words. And the man cried out, saying, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” Mark 1:24. The devil is not all knowing and cannot read your mind, but he has had many years to observe people and he can pretty well know what you are thinking or what is going on by observing carefully your reactions, countenance, actions, and words. And he watches events and prophecies in My written Word. He was on the lookout for the Messiah who would crush his head and he was out to stop him. And that was what the mass killings of baby boys in Bethlehem and back in Egypt at the time of Moses were all about.
So what did Jesus do when the possessed man stood up and threatened him that day in Capernaum? Would he be intimidated and stop teaching and everyone leave? No way. Jesus answered. And so must you do in order to stop his tactics at the outset. Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” Mark 1:25. This is always what you should do with all the fears, depression, worried thoughts, lustful thoughts, impure thoughts, jealous thoughts, angry thoughts, offended thoughts, and whatever else he sends you to ruin your day and your life.
And the demon could not stand up against the Word of Jesus. He gave one last dramatic effort to frighten all there and then left. “Throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.” Mark 1:26. He had to flee for Jesus was submitted to My Word and He had resisted him.
The crowd in the Synagogue were all amazed, so that they debated among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” Immediately the news about Him spread everywhere into all the surrounding district of Galilee. Mark 1:27-28.
People were hearing more and more wonderous reports about what Jesus was doing. “Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:35-38.
And the very next thing Jesus did was just that. He sent out workers into the harvest. “Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.” Matthew 10:1. What was the first them He gave them authority to do? Cast out the unclean spirits. And once that was done then they could heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness, physical, mental and emotional.
And what did He tell His disciples to do, for that is for you who are His followers today as well, “And as you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8. Does this sound like your day? And if not, why not? Selah.
Do not talk about your inability, talk about My ability. Do not focus on your inadequacies, focus on My adequacies. In Me you are more than a conqueror. Do not look at the opposition the devil raises up as something to dread, see it like Joshua and Caleb did, as bread for you to eat up and get stronger. “Only do not rebel against the LORD; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our bread. Their protection has been removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.” Numbers 14:9. Do not dodge opposition, eat it. And this is something that no one else can do for you, you have to do your own eating to get the nourishment. Feed on the Word to build up your faith and then speak the Word to eat up the giants. Eat the Word to grow, speak the Word to fight. But always focus on My ability and not your inability.
When one is building up their muscles they build them by resistance training. Spiritual strength gets nourished in opposition. You only grow in faith by placing a demand on your faith.
If I have said something is yours then call it yours. I have told you that healing is yours who are in Covenant with Me. The devil will throw up opposition—giants, mountains, obstacles—to make you draw back and not take what is yours. But when it is in My Word you know it is yours so you do not back down no matter what he puts in your way. Speak My healing promises and that is it and rebuke the unclean spirits of infirmity. Persevere and do not ever let the devil talk you out of what I have promised you. Do not talk about the giants, as the Israelites did and would not take the land I had given them, but talk to them and tell them to go. Hold your position on My Word and do not ever back down. Never forget what I said no matter what you see. Like Abraham, look at Me and you will have the good result. Just know what I said and keep saying that no matter how great the opposition, no matter how great the symptoms. If you just open your mouth and keep speaking My Word you will eat up the opposition. But as David knew with Goliath, you cannot fight a giant with your mouth closed.
So what do you say in the face of opposition? Simple. My Word tells you what to say. So find My Word on the subject and say that. You do not have to invent an answer, you already have the answer in My Word. Saying anything different than My Word is rebellion. People do not see it that way, but it is. Eve did not see her act as rebellion but it was.
I love you. Do what I tell you to do with the devil and his demons, tell them to be quiet and cast them out. Do not allow them to stay around and poison your mind and take control of your life. The devil will not give you days of Heaven on earth, he will make every effort to give you days of hell on earth. But that does not have to be. You can cast him out and opt for the days of Heaven on earth that I give you. Take My position by holding fast to My Word and things will turn out just as I have spoken.
“Therefore, keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will turn out exactly as I have been told.” Acts 27:25.
