And He said, “Who told you that you were naked?” Genesis 3:11.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Who told you that you were naked? Who told you that you are not and cannot be like Me? Who told you that you are insignificant and weak? Who told you that your condition cannot be healed? Who told you that you have sinned and lost your destiny? Who told you that you cannot be forgiven for what you have done? Who told you I am pleased when you are poor? Who told you that I am pleased when you accept and keep sickness in your body? Who told you I am pleased when you are suffering? Look all through the Bible and you will find it was NOT Me.
I see an enemy’s hand in this. Why do you listen to the accuser of the brethren, who was a murderer and liar from the beginning, rather than to Me?
Let Me define who you are and let My Spirit show you how to be that. I am for you.
The servants of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ Matthew 13:27-28.
The adversary, the accuser of the brethren, has blinded the minds not only of unbelievers, but even of My children for they fail to understand the Scriptures and My power. He comes to steal My Word out of your heart so that you do not know who you are. He steals your identity, and thus kills you pursuing your high calling and glorious assignment, and he destroys your fruitfulness and joy. And you have given in to the enemy without standing your ground for lack of knowledge.
Jesus said to them, “Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God? Mark 12:24.
And Jesus said that to the Pharisees who studied My Law.
They did not know Me. Do you?
I want all to know Me from the least to the greatest and My Word is readily available to all. Pay attention to My Words, those who find them find life and healing. My Word is not idle, it is your very life. I made you with My Word, sustain you with My Word, and renew your with My Word. I make all things new with My Word, including you. You are a new creation in Christ—released from your old image to a new image of who you are in Christ. Let My Word define you and not the words of the world, the flesh and the devil.
And who are you? More than a conqueror with all the benefits of My Covenant as your own.
Beloved, I desire that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2.
And your soul prospers (mind, will, and emotions) when you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of My children walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4.
Why? If you continue in My Word you are truly My disciples, then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free to the glorious freedom of My children
And what is truth? My Word, not that of another. And what does My Word tell you about who I am?
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; He pardons all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases; He redeems your life from the pit, He crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; He fills your days with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:1-5.
I am compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. Psalm 103:8. As far as the east is from the west, so far have I removed your sins from you. Just as a father has compassion on his children, so I have compassion on those who honor Me. Psalm 103:10-11.
I am the Most High, your Maker, and your sustainer. But best of all I am your Father who will NEVER leave you or forsake you.
The best place to find out what is pleasing Me is not from the devil or from human traditions that rob you of your true relationship and right standing with Me. Even though you are saved and washed in the Blood of My Son they keep trying to make you define yourself an unworthy sinner who can fall out of My love every time you fall into temptation. This is not grace and this is not what I have done for you in My Son. And besides that it keeps putting you back into unrighteousness consciousness rather than establishing you in righteousness in which you will be far from oppression and put down all the devil’s lies. I sent Jesus to take all your sins away and He does not have to die again every time you sin. His blood is an eternal redemption that is ever interceding for you on the Mercy Seat in Heaven. He is always interceding for those who draw close to Me through Him.
The best place to know who I am and what pleases Me is in My Covenant Names and looking at Jesus, My Word made flesh and dwelling among you, for seeing Him is seeing Me. We are one. He is the Way, the truth and the life. He came to save you from eternal death and to give you abundant life until it overflows. Attach to Him and you are fruitful.
Jesus told you that I never left Him because He ALWAYS did what pleased Me. So look at what He did to see what pleases Me.
What did Jesus do? Did He tell people that it was My Will and pleasure for them to be sick? No, not even once. He healed, He taught you the truth that sets you free, He won and gave you back your dominion authority, He taught you to cast out demons. He preached so you could know who I really am: Your Father who gives good things to those who ask Him. He multiplied provisions so all were fed who had come to Him. He supplied money for payment of taxes in the mouth of the first fish Peter caught. He raised those who had died premature deaths back to life. He went about doing GOOD and healing all those oppressed of the devil. Acts 10:38.
His desire was to heal everyone but not everyone would allow Him to do that. And this deeply grieved Him. Though He wanted to, He could work no mighty miracles in Nazareth where He grew up as a child because of their lack of faith in Him. He tried, but they would not let it in because of their unbelief.
He told you of My great love for you and My desire to save, anoint, bless, protect, deliver and prosper you. He told you the parable of the prodigal son, the lost sheep, and explained to you the vine and the branches.
No one who came to Him did He ever reject. And even in the midst of a crowd pressing on every side He knew who touched Him with faith that moves mountains and heals impossible cases. He told you I had every hair on your head counted. He told you of My great goodness.
He told the father of the boy who foamed at the mouth and had seizures when he questioned the ability of Jesus to heal the boy that all things are possible for those who believe. Believe in what? The one who sent Him and the one I sent, that NOTHING is too hard for Me and that I long to heal everyone of you.
There is no one sick or disabled in My Kingdom and I ask you to pray that My Kingdom may come and My will be done ON EARTH as it is in Heaven. And if you ask anything according to My Will, I hear you and I do it.
I have given you dominion authority over the earth and I ask you to use it. Command Me to release the benefits now. You have a right to do so.
And consider My Covenant Names which are all promises to you that are fulfilled for you in Jesus and made “yes” to you in Him. The LORD your healer, the LORD who looks ahead and provides for you, the LORD your peace, the LORD your shepherd, the LORD who is there with you, the LORD your righteousness, the LORD your deliverer, the LORD you redeemer, the LORD your strength, the LORD your fortress, the LORD your refuge, the LORD your Father, the LORD your rock, the LORD your helper, the LORD your protector, the LORD who makes you holy and sanctifies you, and there are more. We will note that everyone of My Names is a blessing, a benefit, and a taste of Heaven on earth. And I am love and I am light.
And in seeing Jesus, you see Me, and He has Names too. First and foremost JESUS (Yeshuah) the only name given among men by which you must be saved. And in that Name I have put My power over all and He has given you permission to use it to do the works He did and greater upon the earth as His body, the church. He has pulled you back into My bosom and clothed you in the garments of salvation and the robe of righteousness and given you precious treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Does that sound like you are naked, abandoned, unforgiven, sick, poor, and unimportant? None of that pleases Me for I made you in My image and according to My likeness and gave you dominion over the works of My hands to replenish and subdue the earth.
And Jesus is the Light of the world and no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the Light of Life. The devil lies to you about who you are and who I am to keep you out of the Light and in his darkness.
Jesus is the bread of life for you to eat and never die. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. Jesus is the good Shepherd who leads you to prosperity and peace, to the abundant life. Jesus is your peace and gave you His peace. The devil will tell you that you have no peace, but you do you just have to take it and occupy it.
Jesus is the vine and you are the branches so that you share His divine life by being attached to Him by My Word remaining in you and you in My Word.
Adam and Eve listened as the devil accused them after he had led them into sin and called themselves naked and hid from Me in fear, yet before they listened to the lies of the devil, they ran to Me in confidence for fellowship every day and were not ashamed or conscious of nakedness. I had clothed them in My own glory, majesty and splendor. Psalm 8:8.
Who told them they were naked? The accuser of the brethren who now had the ammunition against them of the very first sin they had committed. And it threw them into panic and separated them from fellowship from Me, at least so they believed.
And the first thing I did after their sin was announce the coming of a redeemer that would crush the serpent’s head and then I clothed them in the skins of animals I sacrificed to clothe them. The first blood, in which is the life to make atonement on the altar, was shed for their sin. It was covered until Jesus, the promised redeemer—the seed of the woman that would crush the devil’s head, came and paid off the debt.
When the prodigal son returned to the father do you remember the first things the father did for the son? He embraced him, pulling him back into his bosom, and he kissed him and clothed him in the finest robe and put the signet ring on his finger, sandals of peace on his feet and killed the fatted calf for him to celebrate. The calf was the sacrificial offering for the priests under the old Covenant of Moses. And Jesus has made you a kingdom and priests unto Me and you shall reign on earth. Revelation 5:10. And how do you reign in life?
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17.
“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Isaiah 54:14-15.
To Abraham and his descendants I swore that I would give them the land that I showed Abraham where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob sojourned until the stay of their descendants in Egypt. When Egypt, though it began as a place of prosperity and favor for them with Joseph, stopped being a blessing to them and turned into a place of slavery, then I came, when they cried out to Me, and redeemed them from slavery to take them as free men to the land I had promised them.
And I renewed My promise to be with them and to give it to them by fighting with them and for them by sending My holy angel ahead of them.
For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them. Exodus 23:23.
And I renewed My promise to be with them and to give it to them by fighting with them and for them and sending My holy angel ahead of them. I promised Joshua and the tribes of Israel,
“Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon, even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun will be your territory. No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Joshua 1:2-5.
And yet they never took that entire land that I promised them, Joshua 13:1, not even to this day.
Why not? They listened to the threats of the enemy, as well as their promises to serve them and co-exist with them as their servants in their midst, and did not drive them all out as I had told them to do. In the face of the enemy they forgot that I had told them that in their inheritance no man would be able to stand before them for I, the LORD, had given them the victory and that My heavenly host would enforce it and fight with and for them.
When the Canaanites told the tribe of the Manasseh that they would not go and they had iron chariots, the tribe of Manasseh asked Joshua to give them more land that did not have the enemy on it.
“The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the valley land have chariots of iron, both those who are in Beth-shean and its towns and those who are in the valley of Jezreel.” Joshua 17:16.
But Joshua would not, he wisely told them to clear the land they had received, even the hill country, and rid it of the Canaanites.
“You are a numerous people and have great power; you shall not have one lot only, but the hill country shall be yours. For though it is a forest, you shall clear it, and to its farthest borders it shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, even though they have chariots of iron and though they are strong.” Joshua 17:17-18.
But instead, because of seeing their iron chariots and their tough stance, the tribe of Manasseh let them stay in the midst of their land, initially to serve them, but later as they intermarried with them, the enemies they refused to expel took that the descendants of Manasseh and Ephraim away from Me to serve idols and forsake My Word and they never returned. The enemy they left in their midst finally mastered them just because they had listened to them over Me.
But the sons of Manasseh could not take possession of these cities, because the Canaanites persisted in living in that land. It came about when the sons of Israel became strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but they did not drive them out completely. Joshua 17:12-13.
Why, when I had given them the victory before they even entered the land, did it fail for them? The promise was theirs and it was sure but they had to set their foot down and occupy the land.
Who told them they could not take it? Not Me. The Canaanites told them. They listened to and believed the lies of the enemy over Mine and they tell you why, “they had iron chariots.” What has that to do with it if I told you I had given you that territory?
Just like their ancestors who refused to enter more than forty years before because they saw themselves as grasshoppers and the enemy as giants? Who had told them they were grasshoppers? Not Me. I never saw them that way and neither did the giants in the land. The giants and those inhabiting the land instead feared them greatly, knowing the wonders I had done to bring them out of Egypt.
In fact, Rahab of Jericho told the spies who came to scout out the city for Joshua, “I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have melted away before you. For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed. When we heard it, our hearts melted and no courage remained in any man any longer because of you; for the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.” Joshua 2:9-11.
My righteous one shall live by faith and if he draws back I have no pleasure in him. I want to give you your healing, your forgiveness, your wealthy place, but when you draw back and believe the intimidation of the enemy I cannot not make you take it. You have shut your mind, your heart, and the door of your life to Me and opened it to the enemy and invited him to stay, just like the tribe of Manasseh did. And you will regret it when he robs you of what is rightfully your inheritance just because you listened to him over Me.
That is what Eve did and it made her lose everything she had.
It is time you awakened to righteousness and let Me define you instead of the enemy. It is hard to face giants when you think I am mad at you, and the devil will do his best to make you think that and back down from your victory stance.
When Goliath threatened the armies of Israel they listened to him over Me and ran and hid in their tents. But when David arrived, he refused to listen to that giant who did not belong in their promised land and answered him with the truth of My Word and David stepped in to occupy the victory and he did.
And later when David went to take Zion to reign from Jerusalem, the Jebusites who had been left in Jerusalem when the land was conquered, rose up and threatened David that he would not enter there but David knew My Word that I had chosen Jerusalem as where I would put My Name, so he did not pay any attention to their words over Mine. He went up and put his foot down and occupied it and out went the enemy.
When the king of Assyria went came up against Hezekiah and the people of Judea he had words to say to Hezekiah and the people, but they refused to speak his lies. He then sent a letter to Hezekiah as follows:
“Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you saying, ‘Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’ Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, destroying them completely. So will you be spared? Did the gods of those nations which my fathers destroyed deliver them, even Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and the sons of Eden who were in Telassar? Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, and of Hena and Ivvah?” 2 Kings 19:10-13.
Hezekiah knew Me and he knew My Word. He knew that was their land and was not for the king of Assyria, so he took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to My house and spread it out before Me. And Hezekiah prayed a prayer of praise and faith.
And the prophet Isaiah sent him word that I heard his prayer and that night I sent an angel that took down 185,000 of the enemy and the next morning they packed up and went home without even shooting an arrow at the city. 2 Kings 19:35-37.
I was still keeping My promise that I had made to Moses that My angel would go before them and drive out the enemies in the land. Exodus 33:2.
Define who you are and what you have by My Word, not the word of the enemy.
“I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.If only you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your well-being (shalom) would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants would have been like the sand, and your offspring like its grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed from My presence.” Isaiah 48:17—19.
You must know who you are and who I am before you can take down the enemy every time and all the time like David did. Like Jehoshaphat did. Like Paul did. But above all as Jesus did and still does in and with you. In Christ Jesus, I have made you more than a conqueror. Know who you are and you will be who you are. And you will live the abundant beautiful life to an overcomer, the life of the redeemed. It is not time to hang back and give up in shame. It is time to lift up your head and give the shout of the redeemed. The devil will have to flee from you in terror.
In the next lessons we are going to take down the lies you have been believing one at a time, until you stop letting the enemy define who you are. Next time you say something devastating about yourself ask yourself, “who told me that?” And go looking to see if it is something that lines up with My Names and My promises and My Words about you or with what Jesus went about doing on earth and when you find it was not Me who said it, reject it, answer it with the truth of who you are in the mirror of My Word and cast it down and out. Occupy.
I love you; it is time you knew that and began to abide in My love. It is time to do what I tell you, that is, cast out demons, deliver captives, take down strongholds, take territory from the devil, refute lies, and rebuke the curse and release the blessing. You must be more intentional about My promises or you will lose your territory and your inheritance. You must finish your assignment and the time is short, run with Me and you will not grow weary, in fact you will soar with eagle’s wings. DO NOT LET ANYONE DEFINE WHO YOU ARE EXCEPT ME, NOT EVEN YOURSELF.
I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 1 Corinthians 4:3.
For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them. You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their sacred pillars in pieces. But you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst. There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you. I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land. I will fix your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you. You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods. They shall not live in your land, because they will make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.” Exodus 23:23-33.
