Then He said, “Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Walk in My Word and wherever you are will become Holy Ground where My love and goodness will abound. Joshua had the Torah written down by Moses, that is, the first five books of the Bible, and I told him not to let those words of the Torah depart from his mouth, but to meditate on it day and night, so that he would be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then he would make his way prosperous, and then he would have success. Joshua 1:8. What kind of success? “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses.” Joshua 1:3. And where his feet tread the enemy underfoot it became the Holy Land. People still make pilgrimage to the “Holy Land.” Holy ground. The land sanctified and set aside as holy by My Word. The very land where My Word walked when He became flesh and dwelt among you.

As Jacob fled from his brother Esau under the cover of going to his mother’s relatives to find a bride, he spent the night on a mountain in a place called Luz. There I revealed My presence to him showing him the ladder of the joining of earth and the Kingdom of Heaven that was later fulfilled in Jesus. John 1:51. And I affirmed My Covenant with him that I had made with Abraham and Isaac.

And what was Jacob’s response to My presence with him?

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” So Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on its top. He called the name of that place Bethel; however, previously the name of the city had been Luz. Genesis 28:16-19.

He named the place “Bethel,” which means “House of God,” and he called it a gate of Heaven. And he set up a memorial there, a consecrated stone pillar, marking the place of My confirmation of My Covenant with him. It became holy ground.

“This stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.” Genesis 28:22.

And many years later David found this place and it was here that became the Temple mount where Solomon built My magnificent house where My presence resided among My people Israel.

And when Jacob returned to the land of Abraham from Laban’s home, he visited Bethel again with Rachel, Leah, his sons and daughter, and a huge flock and many servants. He went as one with staff in hand and came back as two companies. And in that holy place I appeared to him again and I changed his name from Jacob to Israel. Genesis 35:10. And I told him a nation and a great company of nations would come from him.

How could I have told him a company of nations? In his descendant according to the flesh, Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

“I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession.’” Psalm 2:7-8.

And Jesus has given that authority to you who have received Him as Lord and fought the good fight of faith, to the overcomers. Revelation 2:26-27.

And Jesus is in you who believe in His Name, your hope of glory. And He has poured My promise of the Holy Spirit into your heart from My throne of grace. Acts 2:33.

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17.

My presence is in you wherever your feet tread. Like Joshua where you walk, where you go becomes holy ground. And together with other believers you are being built into a temple of the Holy Spirit as the Church, the body of Christ. Taking territory from the realm of darkness where unclean spirits dwell, lands of idol worship, and claiming them for the Kingdom by the sharing of My Word as My royal priesthood to set the captives free who have been subject to slavery all their lives into My marvelous light.

My presence sanctifies you and sets you apart and it does the same wherever you go. When Jesus touched the leper the leper became clean. When Jesus laid his hand on the sick they became well. When Jesus stepped in and cast out unclean spirits they had to depart. And He gave you the power to do the same.

Jesus was and is pure. My Word is pure. And you have made Covenant with Jesus. You must not violate this sacred trust by participating in the deeds of darkness. For you are holy. Do not toss your pearls before swine or give what is holy to dogs. Do no immoral or perverted acts with your body for you are holy. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? 1 Corinthians 6:15.

Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20.

My Spirit was on Samson and My Word was available to him but he mixed the profane, the sinful, the immoral, and the lustful with the holy, and he joined with it in his own body and My Spirit left him. He no longer walked with authority wherever he walked, instead the enemy ensnared him and destroyed him.

I told Jeremiah if he was to be My prophet he must not mix the profane with the holy.

Live your life in Me and store My Word in your heart and My Word will set you free—free to love the love that is true and pure love, free to rejoice in the things that are excellent, lovely, true, and worthy of praise, free to have hope for all My magnificent promises manifesting in your life, free to live the life of goodness, beauty and peace that I have planned for you.

But there is one thing you must do: close your heart to sin and never let it in. And I include fear, worry and depression as sin as well.

Do not give up, do not give in, and above all do not sin.

When I made My presence known to Moses, I told him to remove his sandals because he was on holy ground. Exodus 3:5. When I revealed My Son as Prince of the Heavenly Host to Joshua he told him to remove his sandals from his feet for the place on which he was standing was holy ground. Joshua 5:15. When the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement to atone for the nation he had to enter barefoot. Why? You could not bring the dust of the world into the Holy Ground of My Sanctuary.

The Priests had to wash their hands and their feet in the bronze laver before they could enter the inner court of the Tabernacle and the High Priest behind the second veil into the Holy of Holies.

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “You shall also make a laver of bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it. Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it; when they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, so that they will not die; or when they approach the altar to minister, by offering up in smoke a fire sacrifice to the Lord. So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they will not die; and it shall be a perpetual statute for them, for Aaron and his descendants throughout their generations.” Exodus 30:17-21.

Nothing unclean and profane was proper where My Presence had sanctified the ground and set it apart. You could not commingle the profane dirt of the world with the sanctified ground of the holy place.

Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Colossians 3:1-2.

Do you remember at the Passover meal the night before He died Jesus washed His disciples feet? He has made you a kingdom, priests unto Me. And Peter told him that Jesus should not humble Himself to wash Peter’s feet. Do you remember Jesus’ reply? For later that night He told them they were clean already by hearing and hearing His Words.

So He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him, “Lord, do You wash my feet?” Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.” Peter said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.” Jesus said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean and you are clean, but not all of you.” For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, “Not all of you are clean.” John 13:6-11.

Judas had heard the Words of Jesus, he had Jesus wash his feet, but he was touching the profane for Satan entered his heart. If you let sin in you make yourself impure for the work I have for you to do.

Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:20-22.

Shake off the dust by renewing your mind by the washing of water with the Word and that is how Jesus washes you, His body the Church.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27.

You see here that not only Jesus cleanses you by the Word but you should cleanse one another with the Word. Spouses, family, friends, your fellow members in the church—do not speak with them in idle, profane words but let the anointed Word richly dwell within you, and with all wisdom, be teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to Me for all I have given you in Christ.

I have made you holy in the beloved by the Blood, the Water, and the Spirit. This is a sacred trust sealing the everlasting Covenant of Love. Be holy for I am holy.

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14.

And be careful how you live. Watch your thoughts and words, let them be like Mine and you will share My joy.

But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. Ephesians 5:3-13.

Let Me give you beauty for your ashes and set you free to stand on redemption ground, which is holy ground, the path of the redeemed is the Highway of Holiness.

A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. Isaiah 35:8-10.

Awake, awake, clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion; clothe yourself in your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for the uncircumcised and the unclean will no longer come into you. Shake yourself from the dust, rise up, O captive Jerusalem; loose yourself from the chains around your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. Isaiah 52:1-2.

Depart, depart, go out from there, touch nothing unclean; go out of the midst of her, purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD. But you will not go out in haste, nor will you go as fugitives; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Isaiah 52:11-12.

I love you and you are on holy ground. And your feet have become beautiful shod with the footgear of the gospel of peace (shalom):

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace (shalom) and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7.
