Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Jesus redeemed you from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for you. You are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, the blood of the spotless Lamb slain since the foundation of the world.
What does that have to do with renewal of youth? Everything.
Adam brought the curse into the earth. What is the curse? Basically it is everything that I did not give you originally. I blessed you and gave you dominion over the earth and all I made for you was very good. There was no death, no sickness, no lack, and you came forth from Me as My children. Earth looked like Heaven. There was no corruption, no sin, no curse, and no death. There were no storms or earthquakes and the earth was watered by a mist that rose up from the earth every morning.
You have never known the earth or your bodies in this way. Corruption and death is all around you. But the good news is, you, though still in a curse filled world, can live redeemed from the curse.
You can take your stand on redemption land, as I was showing you in the gold covered boards standing on silver pedestals surrounding the ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holiness joined together in My presence on Holy ground.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon . . . A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. For you have made the LORD, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. Psalm 91:1-10.
You are in My secret place, redemption ground, and even should a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, it shall not come near you. You have entered the Highway of Holiness, the path of the redeemed. And no lion can walk there. Isaiah 35:8-10.
I taught Moses the blessings of obedience and the curses of disobedience. With their leader Moses, the Hebrew people had entered covenant with Me. Like any covenant, there were blessings and protection in keeping it and there were curses and a loss of protection in breaking it. And as I enumerated the blessings with which I would bless them for hearing and obeying My Word, I called the once who kept My Word “blessed.” And I called those who rebelled against My Word “cursed.” That became who you were, blessed or cursed. Operating as blessed or operating as cursed. The blessing brought prosperity, good health, peace, guidance, and protection, the curse brought poverty, sickness in the body and mind (mental and emotional), and eternal death away from My presence. The blessing was for My Covenant people and the curse for the devil’s family. However, too many of My people, who should have known Me better and walked in the blessing, let the devil into their lives and walked in the curse. They went from one disaster to another and they would question and blame Me for it. But the more ungrateful and disobedient they became the more the destroyer had a right to enter their lives and take their health, their wealth, their families, and their country.
And it was up to them whether they called in the blessing or the cursing by their behavior towards My Word. A curse without a cause does not alight.
Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, So a curse without cause does not alight. Proverbs 26:2.
But for you who are in Covenant with Jesus, all that has changed. All creation is waiting eagerly for the manifestation of My children, and in Jesus that is who you are. I send forth My Spirit and a new creation is created and I renew the face of the earth.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
And in Christ I have given you a wonderful gift, I have made you righteous with My own righteousness, and that you cannot lose. But that brings more, MUCH more. In Christ I have redeemed you from the curse of the law.
How? By taking all your rebellion, faults, sins, and failings as His own the curses that would have alighted on you instead were redirected to light on Him. He became cursed so you could be blessed. A curse cannot alight on a righteous, blessed man. And so you are in Christ.
The sentence was for sin was eternal death, dust you are and to dust you shall return. But Jesus took the sentence and paid it for you. Jesus went down to the dust of death, Psalm 22:15, and tasted death for you all so you will never have to do so.
But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9.
Jesus shields you from the wrath that falls on the disobedient.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him. Romans 5:8-9.
The iniquity of you all fell on Him. Isaiah 53:6. And the curse that fell for every sin ever committed or that will be committed crushed Him and He was marred upon the appearance of any man.
By taking on all your sins because of His great love for Me and for you, Jesus redirected the curse to Himself that should have fallen on you. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed. On the Cross, He became a lightening rod that attracted the curse away from you.
Aging, weakness, infirmity, rashes, blotches, failing minds, failing eyesight, buzzing ears, and loss of hearing are all part of the curse. Yes, they are for they were not part of your world before Adam unleashed the devil into the world.
But Jesus came to undo and destroy the works of the devil and as I sent Him, so He sends you. You have found a ransom.
Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. Let his flesh become fresher than in youth, let him return to the days of his youthful vigor. Then he will pray to God, and He will accept him, that he may see His face with joy, and He may restore His righteousness to man. He will sing to men and say, ‘I have sinned and perverted what is right, and it is not proper for me. He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit, and my life shall see the light.’ Behold, God does all these oftentimes with men, to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life. Job 33:24-30.
And this all has to do with Covenant, the Body and Blood that redeemed you. The blood of the Passover Lamb that stopped the curse from alighting on the homes of the Israelites. And they came out strong and healed after the back-breaking work of slavery in mortar and bricks and there waw not a feeble one among them. Not even one stumbled, old, young or middle aged. A people redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
And so are you, but even more so. Theirs was a shadow and a sign, but you have the real substance, the true and precious Lamb slain since the foundation of the world. For He is the only foundation you can build your life on and be saved. You are rooted and grounded in Christ.
Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green, To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:13-15.
I love you. Let the redeemed of the LORD declare the great things I have done for you in Christ! I have renewed your youth like the eagles. And I attached you to the vine, full of sap and very green, bearing much fruit of the Spirit that will endure. You are forever young in Christ. A new creation born of the imperishable Word. The inner man is being renewed day by day.
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, let the redeemed of the LORD, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary, say, “for His lovingkindness is everlasting.” Psalm 107:1-2.
