It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are Spirit and are life. John 6:63.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The flesh profits nothing, it is the spirit that gives life. If you are going to let your feelings and emotions run your tongue you will have a negative life, filled with emotional ups and downs and by the time you reach an older age, it will be primarily down.
If your flesh, that is, your feelings, emotions, and your mental analysis made without My Word but only input from worldly knowledge and your five physical senses, run your tongue, your life will not be joyful and it will not give Me glory or you any glory either in the sense of a life of contentment and peace. You will not enjoy the work of your hands.
How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. You shall eat of the fruit of your handiwork; you will be happy and it will be well with you. Psalm 128:1-2.
If your feelings, emotions, and the mental arena of reasoning based on the input of the world are what your attention and tongue are filled with, these will hold you down to what the flesh can produce.
By flesh I do not just mean the physical flesh of your body, I have a meaning beyond the surface that goes to the heart of the matter. By flesh I mean the mindset of a worldly viewpoint that does not consider spiritual things as realities influencing people’s lives and is not effective in curtailing the lusts of the flesh. It is the mindset of “no God, all man” as the source of your daily actions. In other words, man without Me trying to do everything by his own power or somehow harnessing the power of the “Universe” to carry out his ambitions for control.
But the problem is that the flesh cannot see beyond itself and it is perishable. All godless philosophies and theories end at the grave, so as you get older, if this is your mindset, you are almost at a dead end. And that is not a cause for rejoicing. It will make you useless and weak, a drain on yourself and society. NO future and NO hope. Without Me and without hope past the grave. This results in depression or else in an endless pursuit for things that will please your flesh before you die.
He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity. Ecclesiastes 5:10.
Although, because I have put eternity in your hearts, some, who have rejected Me or just never heard of Me, although that is difficult today for the majority with all the advancements in media and individual devices that are available, believe they will just keep reincarnating and others that somehow there will be a new existence where they float around in the universe, but what is that to look forward to for hearts that were made for loving fellowship, and for spirits that were made to reign with Me in wondrous love and light in an eternal Kingdom filled with fruitful activity and assignments, with limitless terrain of lovely vistas, cities, and mansions, filled with fellowship and celebration as My family?
When Adam submitted to the devil’s reign and jurisdiction over his life he went from the spirit arena to the flesh arena. And the result limited him to this life only and ended in death, eternal death. “Dust you are and to dust you shall return” is the sentence of those who live by flesh alone for that is the fate of the perishable flesh, which became such after sin corrupted the seed by which you were formed in My images, that is, changing your birthright from the Word of truth to lies of deception.
Thus I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, for I must leave it to the man who will come after me. And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the fruit of my labor for which I have labored by acting wisely under the sun. This too is vanity. Ecclesiastes 2:1-19.
Jesus counseled a young man fighting over the inheritance of his parents with his brother, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.” And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive. And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 18:15-21.
Worldly possessions, if those are all you have to hang onto for happiness, your happiness will not stay, it will be easily taken away, like a bubble over snares.
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor of those who seek death. Proverbs 21:6.
But Jesus came to give you abundant life, filled with good health, prosperity and peace now that becomes the seed you are sowing in generosity by which you become rich towards Me to rise up in heavenly rewards. The earthly goods you steward that you use towards heavenly purpose are not only for this life but also for the next. You do not lose your good works and cheerful giving at the grave, it becomes fruit that endures and remains to your great reward.
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your Lord.’ Matthew 25:21.
And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant, because you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to be in authority over ten cities.’ Luke 19:17.
What you put your desires upon and what you speak will determine your freedom from or your slavery to the things of this world, including the troubles and the aging process that come into your physical body and life as it is now in your perishable flesh.
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
And there lies the glorious solution to depression, fear, and lust, you do not look just at things you see with your physical eyes, but at things you can only see with the eyes of faith, that is, the eyes of your heart, the things which are eternal and of great comfort and make any trial of this world look like nothing in comparison to what is ahead. There is no dead end for those who love Me and have accepted My Son as Lord, for He is the resurrection and the life.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:3-5.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26.
And the answer to that question makes all the difference of a joyful life, with a joy no man can take from you, or a life of fear, doubt, and hopelessness, where even your fleeting joys become less and less as you see the years slip so quickly by. If you have faith in My Word, which comes from knowing Me, you will not fear the ups and downs of this world nor becoming older. You will know that those planted in My courts bear fruit in old age and are full of life and freshness. And you will say that as your way of life.
You will know that the wealth, health, and life that I give you now will multiply and overflow your heavenly account in the matter of giving and receiving, providing for all your needs and an abundance for every good work. I will multiply your seed sown and increase your harvest, so you are constantly sowing and reaping now and for eternity.
The flesh tries to grab and keep all it can to satisfy itself before it returns to the dust from which it came. And such is the lifestyle of those whose minds are set on the flesh. But that should not be your mindset. Come up where you are already seated in the Spirit with Jesus at My right hand, and put your mind above and not just on what is below. You are not below looking up trying to get My attention, you are seated with Me and you have My full attention. Looking from where I am you will see things as I do and I see nothing but victory. And that is not the mindset of the flesh but it is the mindset of the Spirit, the heavenly mindset. And I have given that to you in Christ, you are a new creation in Him.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4.
The only way you will be partakers of My divine nature is by taking My promises, that is, the promises assured to you in My Covenant Names, such as the LORD your healer, the LORD your provider, the LORD your righteousness, the LORD your shepherd, the LORD your peace, the LORD your sanctifier, the LORD your redeemer, the LORD your strength, and so many more, and letting these run your tongue when troubles assail you in this world. Just call on and declare the Name you need at the moment and I will set you on high, help, honor and rescue you because you know My Name. It brings great reward to know the Name to call on when you are in trouble, for all who call on My Name will be saved. It is all about who you know.
I am spirit and spiritually discerned. Worldly people with their minds set on the flesh do not know Me. You will hear it in their words when they set their tongues loose. You will hear coarse jesting, vulgarities, rude remarks, gossip, malice, pride, puffing up themselves and their deeds, flattery, lies, complaining and grumbling, depression, talk of lack, and deception. Primarily idle words that do nothing good for anyone, and in fact, poison minds and cause sin and division.
This should not be you. You are in the world, but not of the worldly mindset, for I have sealed you in Jesus when you believed in the gospel of your Salvation and made Him to be wisdom for you, and righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30. Forget the old, I am doing something new with you, don’t you perceive it? And it is glorious. But you will miss out on it if you let your emotions, feelings, and the mindset of the flesh rule your tongue and rob you of your crown.
Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. 2 Peter 1:5-11.
In this way your entrance into My Kingdom will be abundantly supplied. You are not going out empty handed with another taking your wealth. For your wealth consists in a life of good deeds that I prepared for you in advance which will bring your great reward.
After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your exceeding great reward.” Genesis 15:1.
After what things? He had tithed to My great High Priest Melchizedek and refused to accept the wealth offered to him by the wicked, worldly king of Sodom, lest he say he was the one that had made Abraham rich. Abraham knew that his blessing, wealth, health, and eternity came from Me alone and never from the evil one. He was a tither, a giver, and a man of hospitality. And he trusted Me for direction, correction, and protection. And you should know this far better than Abraham did. You have a lot more Word and it is written down for you to find anytime of the day or night.
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.
Jesus gave you My Words so that you may have peace. Use them when tribulation comes with courage and you will have peace and, more that that, you will have joy unspeakable filled with glory as you obtain as the outcome of your faith—the salvation of your soul. 1 Peter 1:9.
So how do you apply this when you wake up and are not feeling rested but are stiff and finding it hard to make yourself get up on Monday morning to face the world and the week? Do you give in to the dark feeling of depression that is draining your joy or interest in life? No, you must not let your feelings and emotions run your tongue. Instead shout out with joy, “I do not live for flesh alone, I am living for the praise of His glory for He has called Me out of darkness into His own marvelous light! He has a day of good things ready for me and I can hardly wait to receive them all! Each morning His mercies are new!” And then sing a praise song with the understanding and with your spirit so that you alternate between your known language of the world and your heavenly language of tongues and seek for interpretation. Raise your hands in victory and whirl about a bit before your get washed and prepare for the day, and just keep speaking in tongues and singing praise as you get washed and dressed. And if that feeling of hopelessness, distaste, anxiety, or fear tries to keep rising up just answer it with a reprimand and hit the praise even harder. Start rejoicing in so great a salvation that I have given you in Jesus. Do not forget the blood of Jesus has purified you and you are forgiven and beloved just as if you had never sinned. And if that does not make you smile, nothing will.
I love you. Never be trapped by your feelings, your emotions, your mind set on the flesh again. Don’t let them run your tongue, let your tongue put them on the run. You can turn the tide if you want to, it is all in your mouth. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it with My Words for they are B.I.G. (Beautiful in God).
