A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord (Adonai) LORD (YHWH) has spoken! Who can but prophesy? Amos 3:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Pursue love, and desire earnestly spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. I want you all to prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:1-5.
To prophesy is important. Moses and Paul both expressed My desire that all would prophesy and Joel prophesied that I would pour out My Spirit on all flesh and you would prophesy.
“It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh (in Hebrew the noun “basar (בָּשָׂר),” which means flesh such as mankind, and it is from the verb “basar (בָּשַׂר)” which means “to bear tidings,” but is usually translated “to bear good news,” as in Isaiah 52:7 and Isaiah 61:1 ); and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29.
“It will come about after this.” After what? Look back to the context and find out and you will be amazed at the accuracy of this prophecy, but then again I do nothing unless I reveal it to My servants the prophets so they can put it in motion by speaking it into the earth. Amos 3:7.
So rejoice, O children of Zion, and be glad in the LORD your God; for He has given you את the early rain (moreh (מוֹרֶה) which means “teacher” and but can be used as “rain” and “ early rain”) for your vindication (צְדָקָה) (which means righteousness). And He has poured down for you the rain, the early and latter rain as before (בָּרִאשֽׁוֹן “in the first”). The threshing floors will be full of grain, and the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. Joel 2:23.
There I speak of the early rain of your righteousness but the word used for “early rain” is also the word used in Hebrew for “teacher,” which is “moreh (מוֹרֶה).” The usual word used for early rain is “yoreh (יוֹרֶה).” And the root of both those words is “yarah (יָרָה)” which means to shoot like an archer, which is also the root for the word “Torah,” which is usually translated as “law.” It is My teachings hitting the mark every time. Torah refers to the first five books of the Bible that I gave to Moses, the first writing down of My Word. Remember, I told Joshua if he kept his mind and tongue only in keeping with My Words in the Torah he would have good success and prosper. So you see there are many layers of meaning here.
I use the same word, “Moreh,” that is translated as “early rain” for the prophecy of Joel, in a prophecy of Isaiah but there is only translated as “teacher.”
Although the LORD has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher (moreh (מוֹרֶה)) will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher (moreh (מוֹרֶה)).
And then Joel continues on before reaching the prophecy of the pouring out of the Spirit: The threshing floors will be full of grain, and the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. Then I will make up to you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied And praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; then My people will never be put to shame. Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and there is no other; and My people will never be put to shame. Joel 2:24-27.
Here you see the coming of salvation, My Son, the Messiah. You see the grain, the wine, and the oil. The covenant meal and the anointing. You se the restoration of all the years the devil stole from you, for Jesus came to undo the works of the devil and give you abundant life. He came to take away all your sins, past, present and future. And His Name is wonderful. And in Him I have made you holy, blameless, and without reproach before Me. I have dealt wondrously with you. You, who are in Him, rejoice! You will never be put to shame again. He took all your shame.
And on Pentecost when your Teacher and your righteousness had returned to Heaven after having come down like the dewfall upon the earth, the bread from Heaven, He poured down the early rain of the Spirit and the prophecy of Joel also says the He will pour down the later rain. He will be working through His body, the Spirit filled church.
And on Pentecost as the wind and fire of the Spirit poured down and the evidence of tongues was heard in Jerusalem, Peter told the crowd that gathered that it was the fulfillment of the prophecy of Joel, the early rain had poured down but the latter rain was still to fall.
For the prophecy of Joel states that the Spirit is poured after the Messiah, the Teacher, has come and become your righteousness, but how does it finish when I pour out My Spirit on My servants, both male and female, in “those days.” Which he explains in the next few lines.
“I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD will slip out; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls. Joel 2:29-32.
And if you read on then comes the judgment of the nations and the final judgment before Me. Joel 3:1-3.
These are describing the times of the rapture and tribulation.
You should be hearing the sounds of the latter rain approaching, for the signs of the times are telling you it is near, even at your door. The floodgates of Heaven are opening, do you not perceive it? Hold you heads high and prophesy! It is time to wake up the world to righteousness.
Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. 1 Corinthians 15:34.
Don’t let that be to your shame that those you have lived with and worked with do not know the good news. It is time you started sharing the good news that those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness in Christ Jesus will reign in life through Him and never taste death. He is the resurrection and the life. You are wise to win souls. You are wise to prophesy into others lives and your own.
I tell you to pursue love and desire earnestly the gifts of the Spirit, especially that you may prophesy. Seek the gifts of the Word of wisdom and the Word of knowledge, these will help you to prophesy to people for you will know facts about what is coming about in their lives to warn them about with the Word of wisdom and you will know what they need at the moment and what exhortation or encouragement they need by the Word of knowledge. Also desire the gift of the discerning of spirits for there will be many who are speaking like believer but are really agents of Satan. You will know them by the fruit of their lives. I have warned you that false prophets will arise and mislead many. That they will claim to be the Messiah but are not. They are antichrists.
Pray in tongues so that you edify yourself, receive guidance, and stay strong in your most holy faith. And keep the Word before your eyes, in your heart, in your ears, and on your tongue. Surround yourself with anointed teachers, prophets and evangelists. Join with them in partnership and prayer.
Do you know what I mean by prophesy? It means to edify, exhort and encourage others and yourself with My Word. It is as simple as reading Psalm 23 to a person overwhelmed with worry about their finances and then giving them the remedy by teaching them about tithing and offerings from Malachi 3:10-12, and encouraging them with the teaching on sowing and reaping from 2 Corinthians 9:6-11.
Or it could be sharing Psalm 103, Isaiah 53:5, and 1 Peter 2:24 with a person who is ill and telling them about the LORD their healer and that I do watch over My Word to perform it and that I cannot lie. And showing them how to speak to the illness, cast it out, and receive their healing with thanksgiving and praise.
It could be telling somehow the good news that in Jesus all their sins are gone as if they never were, the He heals, that He provides, and that with Him they will never be alone again and then leading them in the prayer of salvation from Romans 10:9-10.
It could be praying with a friend, relative, client, or co-worker who is depressed, needs an answer, or just needs a word of encouragement.
It could be speaking a Word from Me to someone I point out that exactly addresses the problem they are facing that you could not have otherwise known.
And it could be stopping another from sinning by speaking to them with love and making known to them that if they continue as they are they will not have the joy of a blessed and fruitful life filled with goodness but will come to ruin for they have joined with the devil in their life. As I told My prophet Ezekiel, I will hold you responsible if you do not warn them, but if you warn them, but they do not heed the warning, I will not hold to your account, just whether you exhorted them.
Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me. If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood. But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself. Ezekiel 3:17-19.
And if you are a parent you have a responsibility to be a prophet to your children, that is, to edify, exhort and encourage them in a spirit of love but in a firm stance of strength so that you train them in the right way to go so that they know My Word and understand My love, My fellowship, My guidance, and the blessings of walking in the life of good deeds I prepared for them in advance.
And you can also prophesy over nations, cities, governing officials and the like without them even hearing you. I told Ezekiel to speak to the mountains of Israel, to dry bones, to nations, to kings, and I meant from his watchtower of prayer. My prophets speak My Word into the earth so I am authorized to enter in and perform it. Micah spoke out the prophecy of My Son being born in Bethlehem and rising up to shepherd My people with a Name that would be known to the ends of the earth, who would be your Shalom. And he put that Word into motion in the earth so that seven hundred years later all things flowed exactly into place, even Caesar taking a census that sent Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, right at the very day and hour that the birth of the One whose goings forth were from eternity was to come forth in time to match up with the prophecies released by Daniel as well.
I have made you a prophet to the nations. Start speaking words of salvation over them. And start to write a blog. I have ways of directing people across the world to read the good news you are writing about. Today you have many media to use for prophecy.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces shalom, and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation (Yeshuah). Isaiah 52:7.
