In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Light be”; and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When you receive Jesus as your Lord and believe in your heart that I raised Him from the dead with all your sins gone for your justification, you are born again and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in your heart. In that way you have access to Me and to My Kingdom.
But have you ever wondered what the Holy Spirit is doing in you?
Let us go back to the beginning and I will show you. In the beginning I created the heavens and the earth. I created them by My Word but when I spoke My Word it had to be performed by My power, and the power is in My Spirit that goes forth performing My Words.
You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth (Adamah). Psalm 104:30.
And how do I send forth My Spirit? By My Word. The Bible is God-breathed.
But what was the Holy Spirit doing until My Word sent Him forth to perform? Hovering.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2.
Hovering is not going in any direction; it is a position of observation and preparation to go forth on an assignment upon direction. Waiting for My Word of direction.
Then God said, “Light be”; and there was light. Genesis 1:3.
My Spirit waits for My Word to perform it. In the beginning He performed My Word each time I spoke. He brought the Word into manifestation.
And you will note, My direction was very specific. I did not say a general word of just to create everything at once, but I spoke out each piece of the plan, starting from the light of life, to the atmosphere in which the earth would flourish, to the sea and dry ground, to the vegetation springing up from the medium of earth, to the sun, moon and stars to light the earth and as signs to appointed times and seasons, and then I began to speak the creatures of the earth starting with fish, then birds, and then the beasts of the field and the crawling creatures, and finally, when all was ready for life in abundance that would reproduce, replenish, and sustain, I spoke the Word and made man (“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-27), with My hands from the dust of the earth (adamah) and then I breathed My breath into him. Genesis 1:1-31; Genesis 2:7.
In creation, I spoke every Word very specifically. And I still speak that way. Jesus did as well. And He asked you to be specific in your requests as well. When Bartimaeus was crying out “Have mercy on me,” Jesus asked him to name specifically what he wanted Jesus to do. And when I asked Solomon what his heart desired I asked him specifically.
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words Therefore do not be like them. Matthew 6:7-8.
So what is the Holy Spirit doing in you? Hovering ready for action. He is ready to teach you all things, guide you to all truth, tell you of the things to come, comfort you, help you and strengthen you and to perform My Words out of your mouth. The Holy Spirit hovers in you ready to perform at a specific direction that match My Words.
That is why I call Jesus the High Priest of your confession. I think you will understand the word you see translated “confession” or “profession” better if you know what the word is in the Greek language in which that verse was originally written. It is the word “homologia (ὁμολογία),” which means speaking the same word to a conclusion of total agreement, to say the same thing about something. Homología is from homoú, “the same, together” and légō, “speak to a conclusion, lay to rest.”
So, you speak in agreement with Jesus’ Words, and He only said My Words, and the Holy Spirit is hovering in you to perform them. I watch over My Word to perform it, but the performing power is sent forth in the breath of My mouth, and I made you in My image and according to My likeness, and I breathed My breath into you. And just as I speak and the power in those words sends forth My Spirit, it is the same when you speak My Words out of your mouth.
By the Word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth, Psalm 33:6.
My angels and all the heavenly host respond to the voice of My Word.
Bless the LORD, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His Word, obeying the voice of His Word. Psalm 103:20.
My Word is so powerful it becomes the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. For I am One God in three divine persons.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:19-20.
And both the Son and the Spirit proceed from Me, coming forth out of My bosom, expressing and revealing Me out of My deepest innermost depths.
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. John 15:26.
The Holy Spirit is in you to guide you to all truth, lead you in the way you should go, teach you all things, enlighten Scripture to you, remind you of all I have spoken, to comfort you, help you and strengthen you but He is not the “doer” of the Word for you, you are, He is your Helper and Advocate, the One ever at your side. He will help you if you let Him, and He does warn you when you are speaking things not according to My Word, but it is ultimately you who must control your tongue. The Holy Spirit performs My Word but you must speak it for Him to have something to perform. He is hovering for the Word and then He goes into action.
Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the Spirit, prophesy, son of man, and say to the Spirit, ‘Thus says the Lord (Adonai) LORD (YHWH), “Come from the four winds, O Spirit, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army. Ezekiel 37:9-10.
Send forth My Spirit and you will renew the earth (adamah).
When the angel Gabriel went to Mary in Nazareth and told her of her wondrous assignment, she asked how this could happen because physically it was impossible. And the answer was My Spirit would hover over her to perform My Word, but first she had to agree to receive that Word, and she did.
“Behold the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done according to the Word you have spoken.” Luke 1:38.
And that was enough, she had spoken her agreement with My Word. Homologia. And My Spirit could perform it.
“Blessed is she who believed (trusted, put faith in), for there will be a fulfillment of the words which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45.
Behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:19-21.
Mary had to give permission. I know your needs, I know the plans and assignments I have for you, I know the good deeds I prepared for you in advance, but I cannot bring them to pass in your life unless you give Me permission to work in you and for you.
Faith in My Word spoken is an invitation to Me to go to work and it is My Spirit that performs the word you have spoken in union with Mine.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23.
You speak with Me to get My Word in your spirit, for My Spirit in you reminds you of all I have said, and then you speak My Word into your life and release it into the world.
Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; and Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped till the people had revenge upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel. Joshua 10:12-14.
Speaking the Word I give you to solve your problem over the situation directs My Spirit to perform a mighty work of power.
Then the Almighty will be your gold and choice silver to you. For then you will delight in the Almighty and lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence, and the humble person He will save. Job 22:25-29.
Remember that I seek for those who worship Me in Spirit and in truth. Why? Those are the ones for whom I can perform My Word into the earth by My Spirit. As you praise and worship Me as your healer and thank Me for giving healing to you in Jesus, the Holy Spirit can perform that in you and for others upon whom you lay your hands. As you praise and worship Me as your provider, supplying for all your needs according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus, you become partakers of that promise in that Name of Mine and the Holy Spirit can prosper you and perform that Word.
I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him. Psalm 91:14-15.
Just read the worship psalms of praise and thanksgiving of David and you will see he understood this law.
“I love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” Psalm 18:1-3.
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1.
“The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread? Psalm 27:1.
And I could be all those things for David. He gave Me the authority to be those to him.
This is so effective because thanksgiving, praise, and worship in the midst of a trial, storm, illness, battle, pain, lack, and a host of other things of the evil one and of the curse, is great faith. It is worship of who I am above your storm and it puts you right into the flow of Heaven on earth, you have found the channel, the portal, the unstoppable, unblockable floodgate of Heaven that pours down a blessing you do not have enough room to contain as rivers of living water flow into and out of you to a thirsty world. And I will rebuke the destroyer.
I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” Psalm 18:3.
I love to give you many covenant Names by which you can call upon Me for every need—The LORD your healer, your victory, your provider, your sanctifier, your deliverer, your strength, your exceeding joy and gladness, your shepherd, your peace, your rock, your fortress, your refuge, your stronghold, your light, your salvation, and I could go on. Jesus also gave you many Names by which you could call upon Him, the door, the Light of the world, the Bread of Life, the Way, the Truth and the Life, the Vine, the good Shepherd, your peace, your joy, the Resurrection and the Life, and of course His wonderful Name, Jesus, Yeshuah, “Salvation.” Whoever calls upon My Name will be saved! And how do you call? In thanksgiving, praise and worship of who I am and what I have given you already in that Name.
And then you have given Me in your words of praise the authority and permission to perform what is already yours, and My Holy Spirit will perform that word so it can manifest physically. Just as He did from the beginning.
And this is why David sang, “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1. You should always be giving the Holy Spirit something to continually perform. Do not leave Him inactive, He is in you to do a work.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21.
It will be done to you according to your faith. What you worship Me for is what you have faith for and I can only perform what you have faith for. But worship and praise build you up in your faith as you continue to practice them until you have gone to the place of worship that has entered into the Holy of Holies where the anointing flows continually without hindrance.
For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. John 3:34
I tell you that I know your needs so that you do not have to be multiplying words begging Me to fill your needs, instead I tell you to ask and you shall receive, to seek and you shall find, and to knock and it shall be opened to you. I know, but I need you to give Me permission to act in your life and praising what I have done is the best way to partake of it by the performance of My Spirit. If you don’t speak, My Spirit cannot perform.
In fact, Jesus gives you a way to pray and it includes all these things.
For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’ Matthew 6:9-13.
Jesus tells you I know what you need before you ask and then He tells you a prayer that asks Me for things, but if you look it is exactly what I am telling you to do. It is specific and it gives My Spirit words to perform. It begins with the praise of My Name, and My Name includes the LORD your healer, provider, Shepherd, peace, deliverer, helper, and all that My Name contains. And remember this is a pattern for prayer, so you can pause here and worship and praise the particular Covenant Names that are the answer to what you are facing at the moment, or just say your favorite ones if you have no particular need at that moment. Then as the prayer continues, you then speak My Kingdom into the earth so the Holy Spirit can be performing that by bringing My Kingdom to the earth and enforcing My Will that all be saved and walk in the freedom of the truth. In this you are binding the works of Satan and loosing My works upon the earth. Then you pray for your daily bread, which is everything you need for the day for physical, emotional, and spiritual life. And then you speak My forgiveness and your forgiveness of others. Then you pray that I not let you be put to the test, for the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, and to deliver you from all evil. And then you praise Me for the Kingdom, the power and the glory which are in Me for it has pleased Me to give them to you as well—as your place to abide with Me.
But if instead of speaking My Words you speak words of death and evil forebodings, of failure, pain, depression, sorrow, doubt and unbelief, those are not My Words so My Spirit will not perform them and My holy angels will not obey them, but there is an angelic spirit who will, and that is the devil. He will take you captive to do his will if that is what you release from your lips, but I will not perform it. So if that is what you are releasing do not blame Me or My Spirit of the consequences in your life. That is blaspheming My Holy Spirit when you attribute the works of the devil to Him. And Jesus told the Pharisees that.
I love you. Find My Words, which are your life and healing, and put My Spirit to work as you worship in Spirit and in truth.
