But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Faith’s goal is your salvation, the impartation of the merits of Christ, transforming (metamorphosis) you by the renewal of your minds to conform you to the image of My Son so you may live your life through Him—a saint, an overcomer, a victor, more than a conqueror. You will have trials in this life, but take courage and cheer up for He has overcome the world and in, with, and through Him so have you.

There is nothing that you and I together cannot do if you do it in, with, and through Him who strengthens you. How does He strengthen you? With the Spirit, My Spirit that I gave to Him and He gave up to Me and I joined you with Him as One Spirt, sealed you in Him, when you believed in the good news of your salvation, as a pledge of your resurrection of redemption.

As sons you cry out with Him to Me, “Abba, Father!”

So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption (sonship) as sons by which you cry out, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:12-14.

Jesus finished the work I gave Him to do, the work of undoing the works of the devil, seeking out and saving the lost, and raising you up from death to life justified with all your sins gone by the Spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, and by this I create over those who join the church of the first born, the assemblies of the heavenly Zion (the place of grace in which you who believe now stand), a covering of glory, the wedding canopy, wherein I shield you in Him, in His Spirit, the Spirit of resurrection, from the wrath to come. A tabernacle of refuge and a secret place of grace from the storms, winds, and rain.

When the LORD has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a tabernacle to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and a secret place from the storm and the rain. Isaiah 4:4-6.

By His sufferings of the sweating of blood, the bloody scourging, the crowning with thorns, and His death on the Cross, Jesus accepted into His own sinless flesh the weight of sin and the divine justice due it, which crushed His mortal body as the healing flowed to you, but it could not touch the Spirit of holiness in Him.

Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 1:1-4.

And as Jesus died in the flesh to sin once for all, He was weak and waning, nearly extinguished by the weight of sin, as He died to sin upon the Cross, He cried in a loud (megas (μέγας) in Greek, which means large, great, in the widest sense, it is the root from which the word megaphone is derived) voice: “It is finished! Abba, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last and the veil in the temple was rent in two from top to bottom. Luke 23:46; Matthew 27:50-51; Mark 15:37-38, John 19:39. The veil that since the time of Moses had stopped all but the High Priest from entering into My secret place, the very throne of grace, was rent in two from top to bottom. It opened the way, a new and living way by His blood, that Your forerunner, the author and finisher of your faith, your great High Priest forever, was about to enter with the blood of eternal redemption to sprinkle seven times upon the mercy seat in an eternal redemption, ever living to make intercession for you in the Spirit that raised Him from the dead by the new and everlasting covenant sealed in His blood. Hebrews 13:20.

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20:16-17.

When I raised Jesus He first ascended back to Me to put His blood on the mercy seat and take His seat at My right hand, filled again with the Spirit by which I had raised Him that He had put in My hands by which I raised Him out of hell and then He returned to the upper room and breathed it into the hearts of His of those who followed Him. And their spirits were born again and became dwelling places of the same Spirit by which I had raised Him from the dead.

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22.

I send forth My Spirit and renew the dust of the earth. Psalm 104:30.

Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7.

But Adam threw that life aside for the lie of a creature.

Cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; and you will eat the plants of the field; by the sweat of your face you will eat bread, till you return to the ground, because from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:17-19.

With a dead spirit you become nothing but flesh that goes back to the dust and your dead spirit goes to the abode of the dead. A dead spirit cannot receive My living Spirit.

This is the way of those who are foolish, and of those after them who approve their words. Selah. As sheep they are appointed for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd; and the upright shall rule over them in the morning, and their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume so that they have no habitation. But God will ransom my soul from the hand of Sheol, for He will take (laqach (לָקַח): take, take in the hand, carry along with oneself, carry away, take in marriage, appropriate to oneself, receive to oneself) me. Selah. Psalm 49:13-15.

Jesus changed everything. I raised Him as the great Shepherd of the sheep. And He had given His life for the sheep to lead you from death to life. And I received His Spirit as He breathed it forth to renew the face of the earth.

And then on Pentecost Sunday the Spirit that had given life to the spirits of His followers on the day I raised Him from the dead was poured out on them to not only be in them but on them, clothed in Him, filled with Him inside and out. There is so much here that you must understand to walk in newness of life and the blessed assurance of your salvation, so great a salvation that astounds the angels and shakes the earth to its very foundation, which was experienced by all the earth at the moment of the death to sin once for all of Jesus, My Son.

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many. Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” Matthew 27:50-54.

If you have died with Christ you shall also be raised with Christ. He put you in My hands. First, as He made covenant with you, and your great good Shepherd put you in His hands to give you eternal life so that you would never perish, and then He put your spirit with His Spirit in My hands, so that you too can be raised with Him to newness of life and cry out “Abba, Father!” The Spirit of sonship adopts you into His life, death and resurrection as My beloved child as well, for before Me you are clothed in Him and are His body, the church, and as He is so are you in this world, dead to sin and alive to Me, a new creation in Christ.

If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:10-11.

When Jesus committed His Spirit to Me and went down in His flesh to the dust of death for you all, there was a separation between flesh and spirit. And there still is. Do you see it? Jesus died in the flesh and went down to the dust of death but His Spirit He entrusted and gave up to Me so that by the Spirit I could raise Him up from death to newness of life in the Spirit as the first born again man of the children of men.

Remember Him before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is crushed, the pitcher by the well is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed; then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:6-7.

Dust to dust, spirit to Spirit. And when Jesus gave His Spirit of holiness up to Me, He joined your spirit who would believe in His Name with His Spirit as one Spirit to assure your resurrection to My Kingdom. When He died for sin, I included you in Him, so that when He gave His Spirit up to Me, He included with Him your spirit and brought it from death to life in My hands.

Adam, through being born again from life to death by the lies of the devil (corruptible, perishable seed), had made his spirit dead to Me and alive to sin, headed to go to hell forever. Being born again in Jesus, your spirit, which was dead to Me and alive to sin, is now alive to Me and dead to sin. So now, there is no condemnation for you who are in Christ Jesus, for resurrection power is in you. In fact, when He died you died to sin with Him, and when I raised Him justified, I raised you with Him as justified in Him and seated you with Him in Heaven at My right hand on the throne of the Son of Man.

He was delivered over because of your transgressions, and was raised because of your justification. Therefore, having been justified by faith, you have peace with God through your Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also you have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which you now stand; and you exult in hope of the glory of God. Romans 4:25 – Romans 5:2.

Now consider what happened just before My Son called out His victory cry, again calling Me “Father” for it was finished and released His Spirit up to Me. Yes, His last words before the finish were words of forgiveness and redemption to a sinner hanging on a cross next to Him, hanging over the open mouth of hell, “One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”  And he turned to Jesus, saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” And Jesus, your salvation, said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:39-43.

The spirit of the thief rejected and reviled Jesus went downwards, but the spirit of the one who repented and turned to Jesus went upward with the Spirit of Jesus as He released it to Me.

After His words to the repentant sinner, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, “I am thirsty.” He was ready to drink to the dregs that chalice of My wrath as He descended to hell so that you never would taste death or suffer the wrath of divine justice.

Thus says your Lord, the LORD, even your God who contends for His people, “Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling, the chalice of My anger; you will never drink it again.” Isaiah 51:22.

A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” John 19:28-30.

And then He cried with a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last.

He gave up His Spirit into My hands and with that Spirit of holiness that was in Him that now He had entrusted to Me in faith so that He could go to hell for you and bear the judgment of the damned in His flesh, I pulled Him out of the grave with all sin gone forever for those who are in Him.

“I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession.’  Psalm 2:7-8.

He was born again as man and was back again to His position as God, but now in a new dimension of authority, the authority of man on earth and the authority of God in Heaven to whom every knee must bow in Heaven, on earth and under the earth!

Although He existed in the form of God, He did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:6-11.

I love you. When you join with Christ by faith, you become one Spirit with Him and the Spirit is in My hands to do the work of resurrection. 1 Corinthians 6:17.
