And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. 1 John 5:11-12.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Walking in the spirit has to do with being led and guided by My Spirit and My Spirit will always lead you by and guide you to My Words, for He is the Spirit of truth, and My Word is truth. Absolute, unchangeable truth. And My Words are Spirit and life, and when I say life I mean the life that is life indeed, that is, eternal life.
“If anyone hears My Words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him; the Word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.” John 12:47-50.
And My Spirit testifies to it. And so must you.
It is the Spirit who testifies because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son. The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:6-11.
I have given you eternal life. And that life is in My Son. Without Him there is nothing. With Him there is everything. Why? There is only one way home to Me and that is the path of complete justification from sin and in Jesus you have that and so much more, not based on your performance but His.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32.
But it is all based on whether you will put your faith in Him or not. Eternal life is the crown, the crown of life, of all that I give you, for all is directed to that life, the life that is leaping up in you like a fountain in you have taken Jesus as your Lord.
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
Your life now is merely the preamble to eternity in the Kingdom. But this life is very important because it is herein that determines (and seals) where and how you will spend your eternity, which is forever. And it all hinges on just one thing: whether you accept and love My testimony to you. My promise of eternal life. And it is a gift prepared for you since the foundation of the world. Do not miss so great a salvation.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18.
I did not send Him to judge you, but to save you. I did not send Him to condemn you, but to love you.
So let us break down the most important and most wonderful testimony in My testaments, Old and New. For it is all about the abundant life My Son came to give you. It is all about the inheritance I give you in Jesus.
All of your story, the story of Me and all I created, is about the One who is the door to My Kingdom and also the Shepherd who shepherds you and laid down His life for you, and the High Priest who now administers and offers for you as eternal redemption His own blood is summed up by Jesus as follows:
“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” John 10:9-11.
Now let us look more fully at the crowning Words we left off in our last life lesson, and break them down into smaller bites for herein salvation lies unto eternal life.
Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son. The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:5-11.
You have three witnesses testifying to you by whom I am establishing a fact—the fact that eternal life is there for you even now. The Spirit, the water, and the blood testify and in Jesus I give you all three witnesses. By His blood you are released from your sins, redeemed from the curse (sickness, poverty, and eternal death), and washed clean of all sin and the stain thereof. You have washed your robe and made it white in the blood of the Lamb.
The water is the water of My Word by which you are born again and by which you renew your mind to know the truth. And the Spirit is My Spirit which is My gift of My own divine life to you who are in Christ Jesus for then you have a born again living spirit to join with My Spirit. And I pour My love into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit.
And that said the rest is easy: And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:11-15.
- I have given you eternal life and that life is in My Son. You find it nowhere and in no one else.
- If you have My Son you have eternal life. To have eternal life you must receive and confess Jesus as Lord and believe that I raised Him from the dead having fully satisfied My justice for all sin you have done.
- You who believe in the Name of My Son know that you have eternal life which will establish you in righteousness and make you far from oppression. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free from fear of death for you know that your inheritance is sure and beautiful beyond all you can ask or imagine.
“For eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and it has not entered the heart of man all that God has prepared for those who love Him.” But to us God has revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10.
- And this confidence in you that you are loved by Me and have eternal life already as yours by taking Jesus as your Lord no matter what you have done, will make you bold to come before Me to ask for all you need just when you need it. You will know you have My divine favor upon you, for it has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom who are the little flock of My Son. For I raised Him from the dead as your great good Shepherd and in Him I equipped you for every good work, or shall I say to know I am always there with you listening to all you say and answering with great and mighty things you could not know.
- But you will note that the confidence of being heard and answered comes from abiding in My Word as My disciple and applying the truth that sets you free. And the truth is My Word. So the confidence of a favorable answer comes from asking according to My Will, and My Will is expressed in My Word. If you asked according to My Word, I hear you. I watch over My Word to perform it.
And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. 1 John 5:15.
So what is My Will that you can ask for and know you have it, you who have eternal life?
I forgive all you sins. You can ask for forgiveness any time and know that it is yours.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.
I am the LORD your healer and it is My Will and one of My promised benefits to heal you. So you can ask for healing at any time and know that it is already yours.
I am the LORD who sees ahead and provides for you. You can ask Me to solve things that have come up whether you or someone else caused the problem and to give the provision you need just when you need it, whatever that provision may be and know I will do it.
It is My Will that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers by walking in the truth. You can ask Me prosper you and give you good health and I will and I will give you the truth that you need in My Word.
I promise you that if you tithe and give offerings to My house and My work I will open the windows of Heaven to pour out a blessing you cannot contain and to rebuke the destroyer from devouring your things or taking what is yours away. And this includes your children, your spouses, your accounts, your health, and everything else that is yours.
I have promised to pull you out of the pit—this includes depression, debt, rejection and whatever else oppresses you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
I make many promises to you in Psalm 91 of perfect protection and deliverance. You can receive all these when you ask.
Look up My Will in My Word for everything you face and it will make your life a joy for you will always have the answer that will take down the lie of the devil that has caused you anxiety. Do not be anxious just come to Me and get your answer. Let Me work on everything with you for that is another promise, I am present as your helper. So just ask for help and you know you have it. My eyes are on you and I watch over My Word to perform it.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life. The way, the truth, and the life. And He is My gift to you.
I love you. And I saved the best part till last. Eternal life is to know Me, the one true God, and the One I sent, Jesus Christ. Eternal life is a relationship, an eternal friendship, I am your forever Father, your forever friend, and more than that, we are joined with Me in Jesus and by My Spirit as one, it is a forever marriage of spirits. I have espoused you to Me forever in faithfulness and love.
