Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:13-14
Today you LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
In Me nothing is loss, everything is gain. I have prepared a life of good deeds for you in advance that you may walk in them. I make up the years the locust stole, the canker worm stole, the caterpillar, and with Me, you can redeem the time. I made the sundial go back ten steps for Hezekiah, I can restore your years as well, the ones you thought you wasted and lost.
I count only the good to your account that you have done when you turn from sin in repentance. The sin is gone like the mist in the morning sun, borne by Jesus in your place. I have released you to a life of good deeds.
Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6.
Jesus released you from your sins by His blood. He untied you, unbound you, loosed you from all that held you back and He dissolved your fetters and your fears. When you truly know the right standing you have with Me in Jesus, you are released from all that bound you. And you are free to rule over your actions, so that they cannot rule over you.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:11-14.
He redeemed you from every lawless deed and purified you as His own, you are now in Christ. And the overflow of all this grace is you are zealous for good deeds for I have poured My love, My very nature, into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit and love gives.
You will never reign in life if you do not rule over your actions. In starts in your thoughts, it is released by your words and it bears good fruit in your actions. I am talking about the opportunity to bear fruit, much fruit, and so show yourselves My disciples. And the fruit you produce as a branch attached in My vine is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. And everyone will rejoice in partaking of your fruit and that is a life of good deeds.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. John 15:7-9.
I have redeemed you from the futile ways of your ancestors, who did not know Me, to a life of beautiful purpose, the purpose of love.
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds . . . Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful. Titus 3:3-8.
Good deeds meet pressing needs and make your lives fruitful.
You see that good deeds come as a result of salvation, redemption, and regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit. You are regenerated in the new birth and then transformed by the renewing of your mind in My Word.
Faith without works is dead. What is the work of faith? Doing what I tell you to do when I tell you to do it. And that is the obedience of faith.
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 16:25-27.
Everything you do during the day should have a purpose, that is, a reason for which you are doing it. If at any given moment someone asked you, “Why are you doing that?” You should know and have a ready answer.
And this goes to motive as well as outward appearance, for the outward appearance may look great but if the motive is to humiliate someone, if it is mean and just plain naughty, no matter how innocent it looks you must not do it.
It has to do with the purpose of the action as it is in the heart. And that determines the flow, the fruit, and the reward.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose. Romans 8:28.
Love Me and are called according to purpose. Everything you do must be focused on purpose. Kingdom purpose. Eternal purpose.
And that purpose should be the same as My purpose, My very core values that make My works fruitful, healing, restoring and blessed. Love.
Faith works by love, without love it does not work.
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3.
All actions should have the purpose of love, for that is who I am and that is who you are. And what does love look like? Like Jesus. He is more work living and working among you.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
Simply put, love is altogether lovely.
His mouth is all sweetness, He is altogether lovely; this is my beloved and this is my friend. Song of Songs 5:16.
And that is who Jesus is to you, and in seeing Him you see Me, and in seeing you all should see Me as well, for as He is so are you in the world, Love.
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38.
Love Me and you will have purpose in all you do and your life will overflow with good deeds. Attached deep in the vine you cannot help but bear fruit, and it is the fruit of the vine.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.
I love you. Abide in Me and I in you by remaining in My Words and you will have control over your actions, for self-control is in the fruit of the Spirit. And it will set you free from all that binds you.
“Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke? Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house; when you see the naked, to cover him; and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out like the dawn, and your recovery will speedily spring forth; and your righteousness will go before you; the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, and if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday. And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 6:6-11.
