For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:
The path of life is the path of faith—it is the path of the overcomer.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4.
To be on the path of life, you must be walking by faith and not by sight. What do I mean by that?
It means you are looking past the temporary to the eternal. The things that are physically seen around you are temporal things. It means they change. Think about it. How many things in your life have changed since you were born until now? And I think you will have to say just about everything.
But this is good news. It means what you see can be changed. Temporal means temporary. So do not get so upset and anxious about things that come up each day. They will change and you can direct that change by walking by faith and not by sight.
What is the one thing I tell you that never changes and never passes away that I have given you?
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away. Matthew24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33.
“All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. the grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the Word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24-25.
My Word, like Me, is eternal and is established forever. Why would you want to base your life on anything but My Word? Everything else is temporal and changes, but My Word is forever and will not change. And how do you get faith? Only one way, by hearing and hearing My Word. And that is why the victory is in walking by faith and not by sight. It is only then you can be secure no matter what passes away, you have ahold of what will not pass away.
In Jesus, you are saved from everything that came from sin and the curse, but if you want salvation you have to say what I tell you to say to have it.
You have a choice of what you look at and say and what you do not look at and do not say. And I do not leave you clueless about this. I tell you very clearly what to look at and what to say, and even what to think upon.
It is true you are still living in your earthly body, that is, walking about in the flesh, but you are not to be walking according to the flesh alone. You should be walking by faith and not by sight, which is according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh. For your weapons of warfare are not carnal but spiritual. For the most opposition you are facing is within yourself, that is, your mindset. For the mind set on the flesh is death, that is where the flesh is headed, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace, that is where, if you are born again, your spirit is already experiencing life eternal.
For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
Strongholds are ways of thinking you are holding onto that are wrong but normal to you. The Light of My Word breaks strongholds, that is, the revelation of My Word puts light on your wrong beliefs and enables you to stop that way of thinking and talking. My Word is truth, and if you continue in My Word, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. The righteousness that comes by faith speaks, but not just anything.
But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks as follows: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” Romans 10:6-7.
Here I tell you two things NOT to say. What do those two things mean and why should you not say them? Hold on to that thought for a moment and I will tell you why but first let us lay the foundation.
What is the right thing to say?
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:8-10.
Here I am telling you to quit running about frantically trying to find the answers to your problems, your illness, your pain, your trials—the answer is under your nose in your mouth. It is not far away from you, it is in your heart and in your mouth. It is the word of faith. And the spirit of faith is you believe in your heart and speak with your mouth what is in your heart. 2 Corinthians 4:13. You do not just believe in your heart, you must also speak it with your mouth. You do not remain silent, that will never take down a stronghold.
With the heart you believe, resulting in righteousness and with the mouth you speak, resulting in salvation. Believing and speaking brings results. That is why you want to make sure you are saying the words that will give you the right results—righteousness and salvation.
You fight the good fight of faith with My Words to change the temporal to fit with the Words of eternal life. You take down strongholds, fear, and things that come into you from walking by sight with My Word. That is what it means to submit to Me, resist the devil and he must flee from you. James 4:7. The way you submit to someone is by agreeing with them and speaking the same words they do. You are not submitted when you disagree, argue, and speak stout against another.
In the fight of faith you are not so much fighting the devil as you are casting down the imaginations and feelings in yourself that you have permitted to grow in you from wrong thinking and ignorance of My Word.
These strongholds can even be from religious doctrines or traditions, as Jesus pointed out to the religious leaders of his day, that are based on human traditions that developed from looking at the temporal without applying My Word. It dishonors Me and all My Son did to redeem you from the curse when it is wrongly taught that sickness, poverty, and suffering are pleasing to Me and a sign of holiness. I am love and I call those things the curse. Why would I tell you that I AM the LORD your healer who looks ahead and provides for you so that there is nothing you shall want and then want you sick and broke? This is a stronghold of Satan to keep you from taking Kingdom territory and shutting his cursed activities down.
So how do you get from where you are in fear and pain to get the results of what I say?
You have to say what I say and stop saying the opposite. You have a choice to stop saying wrong things that are stout against My Words or to believe what I say and agree with Me.
Please understand this: I cannot answer a prayer that is asking Me to do something I have already done. This means you have no faith because you do not believe I already did it. Know when you pray, if you want the results you desire and I so much desire for you, you cannot pray as follows for it is a useless exercise:
- I cannot answer a prayer begging Me to do something I already did. I did it already. You just have to receive it by speaking that you have it because you do. I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in Heaven, you have only to draw it from the spiritual realm to the physical realm by speaking it into being. I speak those things that be not as though they are and they manifest. Why? They are already established forever in the spiritual realm of My Word so they can change the temporal things. Temporal things change so you might as well direct them in the direction of My Word which first formed them and sustains them rather than destroying them with the devil’s words in your mouth. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy and he does it by words as well. Your choice whether you will speak life (faith) or death (sight).
And that is what I mean when I say not to say “‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). Instead say: “Jesus already came down from Heaven and took flesh and died for our sins and He was already raised from the dead and sat down at the right hand of the Father as King of kings and Lord of lords, and I am seated there with Him.” You should not be trying get Me to bring Him down (He already came and dwells in you as your hope of glory).
And you may thing this sounds silly because you know this about Jesus but many people are begging Me to come down and do something. But I already did and am a very present help in time of trouble. I am here with you. My Spirit is dwelling in you who believe. I have come. And I will never leave you or forsake you. If you are begging, you are NOT believing. And without faith you cannot connect with My promises. That is why it is impossible to please Me without faith, I cannot get My promises through to you for you have no connection with My power. There is no electricity in places where there is no connection to the power.
If you are praying, “Please, God, I have got to have help. Please come down and help me.” When will you believe I am helping you? When you see it? That is not faith, that is walking by sight. Faith believes it done when I said it, not just when you see it. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions. Use it. Speak it. Confess My Word and it will bring the result. Remember: Believing in your heart results in righteousness and confessing with your mouth results in salvation and this is in every situation. What I have told you is done, speak it as done, not as doubtful. I do not lie. You will have to change the way you think and talk to My Way of thinking and talking. Isaiah 55:9-11.
But this does not mean you can randomly speak what you want and the result is you get it. That is a modern philosophy that mimics My rules but doesn’t use My Words. What you say is not random, it must be that you are speaking in agreement with what I said. Remember? Submit to Me and then the devil must flee when you resist him with My Word of truth.
- I cannot answer a prayer asking Me to do something I told you to do. I cannot accept salvation for you. You do not get born again by begging Me to save you. You receive Jesus as Lord. I have offered it to you, but you must say that Jesus is Lord yourself and believe in your heart that I raised Him from the dead. I cannot do that for you.
And similarly, My Son already conquered the devil’s authority over you who believe in Him, and I have instructed you to cast him out. If you permit him to trespass and take you captive, you should not be asking Me to cast him out. You are to do it with My Son’s Name that I have given you. And do not play around with that, tell the devil the minute he starts with illness, pain, fear, tragedy, storms—“Oh no you don’t! Get under my feet!” You have to cast these down immediately before they take a stronghold and you become familiar with them, taking them as your own. Immediately rebuke whatever he is bringing to you with the truth of My Word that opposes it. Such as that you have been healed by the stripes of Jesus and that sickness has no place in you. He bore it so it is not yours any longer.
If you will note the Spirit inspired prayers of Paul in Ephesians and Colossians are not about asking Me to do something, not at all, they are asking for you to get enlightened so you know what you already have and who you are in Christ so you can take ownership of it.
So that leads to what we spoke of in a prior Life Lesson: Do not meditate upon and talk about what you do not know, what you do not have, and what you cannot do. This is walking by sight and NOT by faith. Talking about what you do not know makes it harder for you to receive revelation and answers from Me about it. And your saying what you do not know does not please Me and it will not make you happy either. And it will keep you wandering in the wilderness like it did the Israelites I redeemed out of slavery in Egypt that refused to obey Me and take the rich land flowing with milk and honey that I had promised them and prepared for them.
So what is the answer? Walk in the Light. My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. I have put My Words in your mouth to plant Heaven and establish it on the earth. I have given you all you need for life and godliness and it is all in My Word. The revelation of My Word gives Light.
For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:9.
You see things in My light, not looking at your body, your bills, your fears, your pains but drawing close to Me and praying in My Word and with My Word and then speaking out that Word. When Abraham and Sarah stopped saying I had not given them a child and realized I had, it was then Sarah conceived and Isaac was born in laughter.
By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised. Therefore there was born even of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. Hebrews 11:11-12.
When you get into My Light you see more Light, until perfect day.
Where do you start this path of light, this walk of faith? You start by saying My Words. When you are tempted to feel as if you have lost all by your sins and unwise choices even though you have loved and received Jesus as Lord, speak out and say, “I am saved. My Name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life! I shall never perish and He will complete the good work He has begun in me. The Almighty has done and is doing great things for me and holy is His Name. All generations will call me blessed.” Say it now with joy and see the change in your heart. This takes you higher so I can show you more and let you know My love in My light. Keep your mind above where I have seated you next to Me in Christ. Declare now that you are seated there.
Do you see what declaring My Word resulting in salvation in whatever situation you are needing salvation in, whether it be in an attack of sickness, pain, financial downturn, fear, depression, anger, or any other unclean spirit, is about? Declaring My promise with faith resulting in the salvation that Word brings is actually thanksgiving. It is rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, and giving constant thanks. Do you see now why this is My Will for you in Christ Jesus?
I love you. Speak it like it is in My Word before it has come to pass by sight. That is walking in faith and not by sight. For the righteous shall live by faith, in fact, that is the only way you even become righteous—by faith.
Let the weak say, “I am strong (a mighty hero).” Joel 3:10.
