The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and abundantly have it. John 10:10.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Love brings life, but a special quality of life, love brings ABUNDANT life. The life that exceeds all limits of what you can ask or imagine.
My Son, as your good Shepherd, revealed to you that the devil is a thief in My world who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy your life, to keep you at the low level of a slave to your flesh, which gives you a life of toil, pain, and lack in at least one area, if not all, of your life.
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 1:24-26.
This is not My Will for your life. My desire is that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers (your soul is your mind, your will, and your emotions) in every arena of your life, and not just a little but overflowing and exceeding all expectation. You were made by Me to have a fruitful life of authority filled with good, joyful, and peaceful days. And you had that in the beginning, but Adam changed the abundance for lack in cutting Himself off from My Words to abide in the words of the devil.
It is time for you to rise up, shake off the chains, and see the true life that I offer to every person that is life indeed. It is time to receive life in abundance. Hold your heads up high for your deliverance is close at hand.
The word translated “abundantly” when My Son told you He came that you would have life and have it abundantly was first penned in Greek. In Greek the word used is “perissos (περισσός),” which is an adjective, derived from perí, which means “all-around, excess,” “more than;” beyond what is anticipated, exceeding expectation; “more abundant,” going past the expected limit, “more than enough.”
This overflowing abundance is similar to what My Name as “El Shaddai” means to you. That was the Name by which I revealed who I was to Abraham. For everything he needed for the abundant life of blessing, I was more than enough for him. He did not have to seek provision in anyone else but Me. He just followed where I showed him to go, and I gave him underground wells making rich pasture lands for his herds and flocks while everyone else was on dry and barren ground. And thus he became very wealthy in livestock, in silver and in gold. Genesis 13:2.
And Abraham found My provision to be so abundant that he turned down the king of Sodom’s offer to give Abraham all the goods and riches that Abraham had recovered in his battle to save Sodom from the four enemy kings who had carried off all the people of Sodom and their goods. Abraham told that evil king that he wanted nothing from him, not even a shoe lace, for it was I who made him rich. And that is the truth.
But I am talking about much more than financial prosperity though that is part of the whole, for it is I who teach you to profit and the way you should go. It is I who give you the power to gain wealth.
But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18.
It is I who empower you to be fruitful and increase. And I have promised you this by oath.
For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.” And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. For men swear by one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:13-20.
My Son told you something that many people find contradictive to the abundant life but really it is the quickest way to that abundance. My Son told you to deny yourself to find yourself.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds. Matthew 16:24-27.
What do I mean telling you to deny yourself? I am speaking about letting go of destructive, idle, unfruitful behaviors, habits, thoughts, actions, and entertainment. There are things in your life that hinder your relationship with Me. Pride, selfishness, and an inordinate lust for things. These hold you back from the freedom of My children and the joy of self control. Do not seek the low life, seek the high life where Christ is seated at My right hand. The abundant life is the higher life. It is the life of being above and not beneath where My blessings chase you down and overwhelm you.
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4.
The fastest way to the abundant life is the way of Jesus, for He is the way, the truth and the life, no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the light of life. He died to take away your sins so that now, much more, having been justified by His blood, you shall be saved from the wrath through Him.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Romans 5:10-11.
Renouncing yourself for the sake of following Jesus is a gain and not a loss. If you renounce the things that hold you captive by the sin that so easily ensnares you, you will find joy and peace and I can lead out of the dark valley of death to My table of plenty in the sight of your enemies and right into the abundance of My house even now.
The abundant life is a life of abundant grace. Sin may abound but grace superabounds (huperperissos)! Grace overcomes sin. As sin reigned in death, even so grace reigns through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ your Lord. Romans 5:20-21. For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14. With enough grace you can do anything, you are unconquerable. Grace will enable you to deny yourself and take up your cross. And by that I mean the daily irritations, adversities, tribulations and trials that come to you each day in this world that are here due to sin, but you do not have to respond in kind.
Life in abundance is a life that is free from all that would bind it from being fruitful and at prosperous in every area of existence.
We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God, God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Little children, guard yourselves from idols.1 John 5:18-21.
My Son came to bring you life and bring it to you abundantly so it follows to have that life you must come to My Son. The one who has My Son has the life that is the abundant life, the one who has rejected My Son does not.
Yet Jesus told them, “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” John 5:39–40.
In Jesus you are born again as My child. To those who receive Jesus, He gives you authority to become My children. And life in abundance is My free gift to My children. The abundant life overcomes the life of sickness, poverty, and eternal death that Adam brought into the world when he was born from life to death in the devil’s lies. But now in Jesus, you have been born again from death to life. For whoever is born again of My Word overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—your faith. Faith in My love for you as manifested in Jesus Christ, giving you life in abundance, overflowing with health, beauty, and authority over evil. When you believe in Jesus as My Son and your Lord you overcome the world.
And My Spirit testifies to your spirit that I have given you eternal life, and this life is in My Son. He who has the Jesus has the life; he who does not have Jesus does not have the life.
You who believe in the name of Jesus have eternal life.
The abundant life is a life of relationship with Me in My Son whereby you know the joy of answered prayer. For if you ask anything according to My will, I hear you. And when you know that I hear you in whatever you ask, you know that you have the requests which you have asked from Me.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. John 15:7-8.
I liken the abundant life to the fruitful life of a branch attached to a vine. Abiding deep in the vine, so that you can hardly tell where the vine leaves off and the branch begins, the fruit of the vine appears on the branches but the supply that produces and determines the type of fruit produced is from within the vine. The branch, if it become detached from the vine, is useless and can do nothing. But if it just stays attached, it cannot help but produce.
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. John 15:1-6.
The deeper you abide the more abundant your life becomes. And you see from this to abide deeply and to be fruitful it takes pruning and cleansing. And Jesus tells you how He cleanses (purges) you and that is by My Word. And that is how you abide, by keeping yourself in My Word and My Word in you, then you are continually being cleansed by the light of My Word and you are able to bear more fruit the more “pruned” you are.
Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. John 15:9-11.
I love you. The abundant life is the abiding life that makes your life fruitful, beautiful, powerful and, above all, totally connected to Me and My Kingdom.
