In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 1 Corinthians 11:25.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

You have a tremendous inheritance, everything I have is yours in Christ. I take care of you according to the riches of My glory in Christ Jesus. Your inheritance is all wrapped up in Him, for in Him, you are joint heirs of Mine. He has made you His bride and His body in the earth and hence it follows that you are My spouse by Covenant and My child by the relationship. For all He is and has is Mine and One with Me. And as He is so are you in this world. One with Me through Him.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven. Colossians 1:15-20.

Let Me explain, your inheritance is by Covenant and also by sonship.

I liken the relationship of the church and Christ to a marriage between a bride and a bridegroom.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the w that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:25-33.

And once they are married, the two become one. You are One Spirit with Christ.

And once two are espoused, everything each one owns belongs to the other as well. The richer and more powerful party has a duty to care for the one with lesser power and riches. And the spouse takes the name of the stronger one.

I have given you a Name above every other name, You who believe are the body of Christ, as one with Him and all He has is yours and all you have is His. You are as one.

“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:20-26.

And in Him you enter His Covenant with Me, in a bond that can never be broken, for Jesus will never break Covenant with Me and He will never break Covenant with you. Once you believe in the good news of your Salvation, I seal you in Christ as My gift to Him, Ephesians 1:13, and He must raise you up on the last day.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:35-40.

I have espoused you to Me forever in faithfulness and truth.

“I will espouse you to Me forever; yes, I will espouse you to Me in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in compassion, and I will espouse you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the LORD.” Hosea 2:19-20.

Besides Covenant in the sense of espousal, you also, by joining to Christ as His body on earth, you become a child of Mine in Him. One with Him you are a first-born son. Your inheritance, is beyond all you can ask or imagine. It has not so much as entered the mind of man what I have prepared for those who love Me and love the One I sent, Jesus Christ. It takes My Holy Spirit, who knows Me in the deepest sense and reveals My thoughts to you, to reveal to you what I have freely given you.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12.

I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. John 16:12-15.

Everything I have is yours in Christ. I take care of you according to the riches of My glory in Christ Jesus. As His bride and as His body you have access to everything in Heaven and on earth.

And what does it mean that you are in Covenant with Me and that you are My child in your day-to-day life? Many things. It means you shall not want or lack anything for I must care and provide for you. And I do this with joy and great pleasure, for it has pleased Me to give My Kingdom to you who are the little flock of My Son. You are a citizen by birth (born again in Christ of the imperishable Word) but you are also a child and a spouse of the great King, so you are an heir and joint owner as well.

Joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the sanctified ones in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:11-14.

And when you seek the Kingdom and My righteousness, all things you need for life and godliness are added to you in abundance for all My magnificent promises are “yes” to you in Jesus by Covenant of perfect union and relationship of family. It is great to be a child of a Kingd but it is a whole new level to be a spouse of the King.

It also means that whenever you are attacked, I must come down to rescue you. You can cast out demons and heal the sick with My power in you when you use the Name of Jesus. Covenant.

Do you remember that when the Gibeonites tricked Joshua and the people of Israel into making covenant with them, that when they were attacked by the armies of the five kings, they sent word to Joshua, based on their covenant, that he and the army of Israel had to come to fight for them. And not only did they come to fight, but I fought with them to bring about a great deliverance.

I am very serious about Covenant. I was in Covenant with Joshua and the people of Israel, and when they made covenant with the Gibeonites it obligated Me as well. Do you see? When you enter Covenant with Jesus, who is in Covenant with Me, My commitment to Him seals My commitment to those He is in Covenant with as well. In their covenant with the Israelites, the Gibeonites had hooked into their Covenant with Me, and with you who are in Christ, it is even more so, for you are actually in Him and He is in you and thus My Spirit comes to dwell in you as well.

And if you recall, I gave Moses instructions for making two silver trumpets to blow as signals to break camp and depart and also as summons to convocations and feasts. But the had another purpose as well, they were to blow the trumpets as a signal and summons to Me to come and fight for them whenever they were attacked by an adversary. And it was the priests who carried them and blew them. Jesus has released you from your sins by His blood and made you to be a kingdom, priests unto Me. You can blow your trumpets and I must come down to fight for you.

“The priestly sons of Aaron, moreover, shall blow the trumpets; and this shall be for you a perpetual statute throughout your generations. When you go to war in your land against the adversary who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and be saved from your enemies. Also in the day of your gladness and in your appointed feasts, and on the first days of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the LORD your God.” Numbers 10:8-10.

The voice of the trumpet. My voice is like a trumpet. Amplified sound of your own breath into beautiful notes of a song.

I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet. Revelation 1:9-10.

Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like the Son of Man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. Revelation 1:12-13.

The Name of Jesus is your silver trumpet. Redemption. Whoever calls on His Name will be saved.

And what else does your Covenant and heirship mean for you today? It means you have all the Covenant benefits, do not forget a one of them but take them all by faith:

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits. He pardons all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases; He redeems your life from the pit, He crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; He satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:1-5.

We have already touched on forgiveness as your inheritance. But over the next few life lessons we will consider all your benefits, so you do not miss even one of them. You honor Me by enjoying all I give you freely in Christ Jesus.

I love you. Never forget our Covenant and our familial relationship, but above all, never forget who I have made you to be in Christ Jesus for as He is, so are you in this world. He is your inheritance, and He is beautiful.
