For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments—I am the LORD. The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you for destruction when I strike the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:12-13.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Every time you eat the bread of His Body and drink the cup of His blood you declare His death until He comes. Why is it so important to do that? To shield and rescue you from judgment, that is, from the wrath to come.

“We give You thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.” Revelation 11:17-18.

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

Do this in remembrance of your deliverance from slavery to the freedom of My children. What slavery? The slavery to sin and death. But your deliverance is even greater, as it was for the Israelites coming out of Egypt. It is the mystery of the judgment falling on the firstborn. In Jesus, the firstborn among many brethren, I have redeemed you and I have covered you with His blood the shield of My good Will. In Him you are saved from the wrath to come.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him. Romans 5:8-9.

How you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10.

Pharaoh and the Egyptians had committed terrible sins and acts of injustice against My people, killing their babies and subjecting them to cruel slavery with no justice and no wages. They mocked Me and worshipped cruel idols in the forms of creatures I had made, treating them as gods. They had filled up the cup of wrath and it was about to fall. I had given them many warnings and signs in nine plagues and astounding signs, but they kept on in the hardness of their hearts killing the babies and inflicting even more cruelty on My people. And My judgement fell on them. But you will note when the wrath fell, I gave them and My people a way out (if you recall a mixed group of My people and Egyptians who had taken shelter during the night when I struck Egypt with judgment for their cirmes in the homes of the Hebrews went out the night of the Passover and left Egypt).

And that way out is how the Passover celebration as a perpetual memorial, fulfilled and made forever in Jesus, began with the Israelites, but I had it planned since the foundation of the world, the Divine rescue mission, the “Mission Impossible,” that I made possible in My Son, the firstborn of many brethren.

And to fast forward, there is coming a day, a time and a half, of reckoning on the earth and again My judgment will fall in the wrath to come, but there is an escape from destruction just as their was for the Israelites and Egyptians. And what was that? The blood of the Lamb. And who is the real Lamb that takes away the sins of the world? THE FIRSTBORN SON.

When I struck the land of Egypt with judgment and executed judgment on their gods, where did My wrath of judgment fall? On the firstborn. And it was only by way of the blood and body of the lamb that anyone was saved from that judgment. All who were partaking of that meal and under the covering of the blood were shielded, redeemed and freed from destruction.

Do you see? I have struck My firstborn Son with the just wrath due to all for the sins of mankind against Me and one another that have filled the beautiful world I gave you with corruption and the curse. And when I see the blood, I pass over wherever it covers and no plague or destruction can enter there. Rescued, shielded, saved by partaking in the body and being covered by the blood.

So now let us follow the shadow of that first Passover, and even go back to where the shadow of the Lamb first fell, and following the shadow to its source, for at the source you will find the substance of the answer to all sin, judgment, and wrath. I tell the end from the beginning so let us take a glimpse with John on Patmos in the revelation of the endtimes.

Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. Revelation 14:1-3.

And with the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel who have been sealed with My seal in the time of the great tribulation there is a great multitude which no one can count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, for they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, and the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and I will wipe every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:4-17.

Do you recall the first words in the book of Exodus, which is the story of the redemption of My Covenant people by the blood and body of the Passover lamb from slavery to lead and guide them to the abundance of the Promised Land?

Now these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob; they came each one with his household: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah; Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin; Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher. All the persons who came from the loins of Jacob were seventy in number, but Joseph was already in Egypt. Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation. But the sons of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly, and multiplied, and became exceedingly mighty, so that the land was filled with them. Exodus 1:1-7.

Do you recall what Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well?

The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” John 4:19-26.

In Jesus, there is one new man, the Jew and the Gentile who believe, the church. And before the tribulation you will all be caught up in the clouds with Jesus to participate in the marriage feast of the LAMB, as His bride the Church. There is great and beautiful mystery hidden in the shadow of the lamb that I would like to explore for your revelation and edification so you may better understand the height, length, breadth, and depth of the beauty of who you are and what you become more and more, from faith to faith, from glory to glory, as you partake in the body and blood of your Messiah, Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of the shadow of that precious unblemished lamb led so willingly to the slaughter for your sins.

It all began with the first man and woman to whom I entrusted dominion authority over the earth and the works of My hands. They turned away from Me and sought another source, but there is no other source that can sustain you in life, and thus death entered the world and descended to all men from the seed of Adam which had corrupted and become perishable when he was recreated by submitting to the lies of Satan as the substance of his life. Adam abdicated his position of reigning in life and the throne of the Son of Man to the devil as his master. But Jesus, the second and final Adam, born of My imperishable Word, took that throne back and gave you the authority to again take dominion back of the earth. But it is not automatic because the leasehold that Adam gave to Satan has not run its full term yet. But soon it will and that is when the seven seals will be broken and the title deed reclaimed by My Son in the wrath to come upon those who have destroyed My earth. Revelation 11:17-18.

A life submitted to the truth of My Word is imperishable in spirit and truth, a life submitted to the lies of the devil’s word is perishable for the flesh has dominated and deadened the spirit to Me and awakened it to sin. But I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions.

And thus began the sacrifice of the lamb. Abel learned it from the sacrifice that had clothed his naked parents, but the one dominated by the flesh and sin, Cain, persecuted and took the life in the flesh of the one who walked with the spirit. But Abel lives on with Me and his blood still speaks.

And then you find Noah and the first thing he did when he came through the flood and walked again in the beauty of the earth was to sacrifice the burnt offering and the peace offering upon the altar before Me. And I made a covenant confirmed in the rainbow never to flood the entire earth again. And the rainbow encircles My throne in Heaven where Jesus, the Lamb slain since the foundation of the world, is even now in the center of the throne, deep within My bosom, where He has drawn you back with Him as well.

If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:3-7.

And then I looked for one who would obey My Word and make Covenant with Me, for Covenant was My wondrous way of again entering the earth from which Adam had shut Me out to heal, bless, prosper, favor, and save you. It is the way that you join your spirit again with My Spirit and become one with Me so that through you My Will can be done upon the earth. And in covenant the greater raises the lesser to the level of the greater. And that is what I do for you who have entered Covenant with Me. And today you can only enter Covenant with Me through making Covenant with My Son. The firstborn of many brethren. For in Him, clothed in Him, you enter His Covenant with Me, sealed with the blood of the Cross.

I found a man named Abram, a descendant of the son of Noah named Shem. Shem in Hebrew simply means “Name.” But through that line would come the birth in the flesh of the One whose Name is above every other name.

Abraham believed Me and I credited that to him as righteousness. And he made covenant with Me as I and My Son walked between the sacrificed animals in the blood. And I revealed Jesus to Abraham. As Jesus later told the astounded Pharisees and Jews that Abraham had seen His day and rejoiced.

What was Jesus talking about? The sacrifice of the son. The beloved Son. The only Son.

I promised Abraham a son with his wife Sarah, the child of the promise. And when he and Sarah were fully persuaded in faith of the impossible happening it did. And Sarah gave birth to Isaac in her old age. And then years later, I asked Abraham to offer Isaac as a burnt offering. And that is the first time in the Bible I used the word “love.” I told him to sacrifice his son, his only one, the one he loved. But that was not Abraham’s only son, but it was the son of the promise.

And I had made a promise to mankind of everlasting life before the world began and when Adam lost it, I kept My promise by promising the seed of the woman that would crush the serpent’s head (his authority of death), which I kept in giving the world My only begotten Son, My beloved Son, so that no one who believes in Him will perish but will have eternal life.

And because Abraham kept My Word and taught his household to do so as well, making a household of faith that later became My people Israel and a nation of faith and the guardians of My Word, I did nothing without first revealing it to him. And in going up Mt. Moriah with Isaac as the sacrifice carrying the wood, we enacted together the carrying of the cross up that same path many years later by My dearly beloved Son. And Abraham understood, he told his servants he and Isaac would return after the sacrifice, if nothing else, he believed I would raise him from the dead, as I did Jesus, and then he told Isaac that I Myself would supply the lamb for the burnt offering. And I did and John the Baptist recognized Him as the fulfillment of Abraham’s prophecy there by the Jordan when Jesus began His public ministry.

The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29.

For Abraham it was all about the lamb caught in the thicket that he substituted in place of his son to save his son from death and for you it is all about the Lamb crowned with thorns that I substituted in your place who saves you from eternal death.

And it was because of his willingness to be like Me and offer up his son as a burnt offering, that I then made a solemn oath to bless and increase Abraham yet more and more and that though his line, by a seed I would entrust to his line, would be one who would take down the gates of the enemy. Jesus. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against his body on earth, the church. And through the imperishable seed entrusted to Abraham’s line every person on earth has been blessed.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:29.

Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. Ephesians 2:11-22.

I would like to remind you too that Isaac’s blood was not eternal or pure so he never would have qualified as the sin offering for the eternal life you had lost, for he did not have one to give. But My Son did, and He willingly gave it for you. And Abraham saw that and was glad.

And next I would like to go with you through the great deliverance of the Passover step by step and I will save that for the next life lesson for we have covered enough for you to ponder on for today.

I love you and that is what the body and blood of Christ is all about. And every time you partake, which should be every day and more, especially when you are in need of healing and other benefits I offer you in Covenant, you become more and more like Him for the greater brings the lesser up to the level of the greater one. As He is, so can you be in this world. You are what you eat.
