But the greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted. Matthew 23:11-12.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:

The sanctified life is a life of humility. True holiness is humble. Jesus was the holiest man that ever dwelt upon the earth, and He is meek and humble of heart. Moses worked great miracles with His staff and My power and yet He was the humblest of men.

Pride is harsh, humility is gentle. Humility is of the heart, like faith.

Humility is a willingness to serve. It has a heart of compassion for others. It is not focused on self—self-glory.

I resist the proud, but I give grace to the humble.  With enough grace you can overcome anything.  With enough grace you can receive anything.  Because grace makes all the difference between whether you succeed or fail in your life, grace is My life in you. Like the branch in the vine.

Humility is very important to me.  I value it highly and look for it in the people I use for mighty deeds and great exploits. Moses was the humblest man on earth and I used him mightily. Numbers 12:3.  Mary was humble and lowly and I exalted her to be the virgin mother of My Son. Luke 2:48. My Son was the holiest of men and brought about My Will of redemption for mankind and He was gentle and humble of heart. Matthew 11:28-29. He humbled himself to be known of human estate when actually He was One God with Me. He emptied Himself of His powers as God to become of human estate and take on your sins and take your punishment on Himself to save you. My Will prospered in His hand.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude [e]in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:3-11.

I tell you in My Word that those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted.  Matthew 23:12. I tell you that I guide the humble to justice and teach the humble My Way. Psalm 25:9.

I look on the humble with favor, Isaiah 66:2, and I sustain the humble and crown them with victory, but I cast the wicked to the ground.  Psalms 147:6; 149:4. I save the humble, but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.  Psalm 18:27.

You cannot be holy without being humble.  And I can no longer use someone to do great works if they lose their humility and become proud.

Since humility is so important to Me and so tied up with the success or failure of your life I am sure you would like to know what it is and how to acquire it.

First, let Me discuss with you what humility is not.  Humility is not pride.  A humble person is not argumentative, rebellious, stubborn, or obstinate.  A humble person does not think that he is the only one with the right answers, that he is the only one with any insight or understanding, and that he knows better than anyone else, including Me. A humble person does not get upset and fuss about everything.  A humble person is not a complainer.  A humble person is not easily offended.  A humble person does not think he is too good to serve others, and he does not consider others beneath him.

Now let me tell you what I mean by humility.  Humility is submission– submission to Me, which is submission to My Word above everything else. Humility is a heart that hears. Humility is wisdom.

And My Word tells you there are certain people in authority over you that you must submit to also, such as parents, elders, and husbands.  But submission should always ultimately be to My Word as truth and that should be the standard you use—your plumbline.

A humble person before Me is one who knows that I am the source of all that is good in his life, that he is not and cannot be his own source or that of others.  He knows that he can do nothing without Me but can do all things in Me.

A humble person is one that believes My Word so totally that when things promised in My Word are not manifesting in his life, he knows that the fault is not with Me or in My Words.  He comes to Me to see what he is doing wrong and how to line up with My Word so that he can obtain the desired result.  He does not get angry with Me and say that he has done everything right and the Word is not true.  No, quite to the contrary.

And a humble person is thankful.  Pride is not thankful. A proud person thinks he should have done or had better and this pride leads to torment, division, and strife.

And a humble person will serve others without expecting a return.

A proud person is agitated, but a humble person has peace.  My Son explained this to you.  He told you to come to Him and learn from Him if you are weary and find life burdensome for He is gentle and humble of heart.  Then your weary souls will find rest—in humility there is peace for you know your source is mighty.

If you have sinned, then turn to Me and humble yourself before Me.  Do not make excuses like Adam did, but acknowledge you have done wrong and repent.  Let your heart turn back to Me and this time give Me a willing and obedient heart that submits all else to the truth of My Word.

Humility is the key to grace and successful living.  In fact, I tell you that the one of greatest importance in My Kingdom is the one who humbles himself like a little child.  Matthew 18:4.  A child is quick to believe without having to understand how something works or exists.  A child does not try to figure it all out before he believes.  A little child is innocent and pure.  A little child knows that he cannot do things on his own or provide for his own needs, but looks to his parent to meet his needs.  And he looks with confidence and joyful expectation, not with fear.  A little child is not depressed but looks forward with joy.  He is grateful and lives the present moment without worry about tomorrow for he knows provision will be there for him the next day as it was today.  A child is submissive but does not find it burdensome, he finds it freeing– giving him rest in the one he is submitted too.  For the one he is submitted to bears the cares and responsibilities of providing for his well-being, and when needed, a lap to climb into and arms to embrace him, a place of love, rest, and security, a place of healing.

I tell you to humble yourself like a little child to see My Kingdom and to be of great importance there. I think now you see why. They know they are not their own source but they are

Do you see what I am telling you?  Submission is not a bad thing.  In fact, submission to Me is a very good thing.  My Word is full of beautiful, wonderful, enriching promises that you obtain by submitting to Me (that is, to My Word).  Submitting is agreeing that the greater One has what you want to have and be, causing you to come under His teaching and authority. You will find rest in Me when you submit.  I then can take responsibility for you and give you all that you need.  It will take all the load off your shoulders.  My yoke is easy and My burden light.

And once you are humble and have taken the position under My authority, submitted to My Word in all your actions and words, then I can pour grace upon grace into your soul and you will find that with enough grace you can overcome any problem and receive all that you need or want.  Far beyond what you can even imagine.

And then you will be able to resist the devil and he will flee from you.

And this will bring glory to Me and will result in the praise of My Glory by all who see your well-provided for, victorious life and hear your testimony of the grace you received from Me to arrive there.

Humility is not worried about its own appearance before men but in showing My goodness to all. A channel of My grace to you and others.

Humility comes before riches and honor. Learn the lessons of humility now so I can reach u;

I love you. As the eyes of a servant are upon the hands of his master and the eyes of a maidservant upon her mistress, direct your gaze to Me.  Humble yourself under My mighty Hand and I will exalt you on high.
