Therefore you shall be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:48.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The best thing you can do for yourself to have victory and success, fruitfulness and joy, is to know My Word and how to apply it in every situation and to everything that you face in your life. My Word is life to you and health to you. My Word is your refuge and your fortress, your buckler and your shield. My Word is your armor of light. My Word girds you solidly in the truth so that you are not shaken no matter what takes place because you know how to conquer all for truth wins over any lie. The darkness cannot overcome light. In a dark room, all you must do is switch on the light and nothing in that room is a mystery anymore. My Word is light to your path. No follower of My Son, who is My Word made flesh, will ever walk in darkness but will have the light of life. He is the Light of the World, and that is the Light of the Word.
When you pray according to My Will, I hear you, and when you know I hear you, you know that what you have asked Me for is yours. And that is a very simple way for you to walk in victory, always pray according to My Word and what you ask for is yours, for My Word is My Will.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7.
Do not be anxious about anything but in everything make your requests known to Me and trust Me to take care of all that concerns you. You must come to the point, like Abraham did, where you are fully persuaded that whatever My Word promises, I am able, willing, and faithful to perform it for you. And that is what My Son called “great faith,” to just know from My Word that the result has already come to pass, first, in your spirit, and then you just must speak it and do it so the Holy Spirit can quicken it in your mortal body and manifest it in the physical as it is in the spiritual. In the heavenlies. Remember My Word is of Heaven.
But how do you train your mind to thinking like I do and speaking like I do? By being transformed by the renewing of your mind by My Word. When you get so full of My Word that it becomes your way of responding with no fear in every situation, you know that you have been transformed. And the word translated as “transformed” in chapter 12 of Romans is the word “Metamorphoo,” the word from which metamorphosis comes. It takes you from a crawling, near sighted caterpillar to a soaring nectar sipping butterfly with eyes that see beyond what the human eye can see.
You must train your mind to transform it from the old man to the new creation you are in Christ, but renewing the mind is a joy as you are set free to be the amazing YOU I made YOU to be.
“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9.
Meditate day and night on My Word, do not let anything else come in that will cause you doubt, fear, and unbelief. These are deadly to your well-being and totally useless. Doubt, fear, and unbelief kept the Israelites I so marvelously redeemed from slavery out of Egypt from entering their destiny (their rest) in the Promised Land. Focus on the truth and it will set you free of fear and of all evil.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9.
And keeping your mind on these things is keeping your mind on My Word. But also learn to be grateful and loving to others. It will help immensely in keeping your mind above and off offense and selfishness.
Whatever you do to the least of My brothers you do to Me.
Now, if you get to know Me through My Word, you will come to understand what is happening in the world today and in your life and you will know how to walk above and not beneath. You will find rest in the midst of every situation, even the most challenging ones because you know Me and you know that I have looked ahead and already provided you with the solution that will bring the victory.
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they were quiet, so He guided them to their desired haven. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! Psalm 107:28-31.
And My Word is the way that I save you. The only way.
And they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of His works with joyful singing. Psalm 107:18-22.
When you walk in the way of My Word your life goes ever higher. Your path is like the light of dawn, getting brighter and brighter as you walk along closer and closer to Me. My Word will draw you close to Me. And you will go from the milk of the Word, to the meat of the Word, to the honey of the Word:
I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name’s sake. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 1 John 2:12-14.
In spiritual development there are stages and whether you pass through them quickly or grow slowly is up to your intake of the Word and your seeking Me in prayer. Some people who believe stop with salvation and never go to a higher level. They stay on the milk of the Word but never get to the meat or the honey.
John, My beloved disciple, reached the most mature stage of development. He calls it the mature stage of the “fathers,” and describes them as knowing Me who has been from the beginning. This is when My Word becomes honey from the rock to you and your life is in tune with Me in the Holy Spirit flow of Heaven to earth. This is what My servant Paul prayed you would all reach, that you would know Me and be filled up with Me, that is, with love and resurrection power. And John and Paul arrived at this stage of perfect trust, perfect love, and perfect peace and contentment by walking through many trials with Me and coming out victorious by the Word of My presence with them. They came to know and believe in the love I had for them, and lived satisfied with no fear of any man, demon or anything else the world, flesh and the devil tried to take them down with. There is no fear in perfect love, only complete confidence in overcoming the world by the faith in My Word.
John opened his account of the life of My Son (the Gospel according to John) with the Word creating all and how the Word came to dwell among you in the flesh to give you the light of abundant, eternal, and perfect life. John, who understood much of what I had done for you in Christ as he stood at the foot of the cross with Mary, was the first one to not just give love and light as divine characteristics but to define My very essence as Love and Light.
Paul defines My Will by stages as John and Peter do as well.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2.
There is the good, which is the stage of the child or infant in physical development that is described as feeding on the milk of the Word. People who stay at this stage all their lives on earth produce at most at thirtyfold in the parable My Son told of the sower. Though they are good soil and do bear fruit, it is not abundant for they have never matured or ripened so to speak. But even out of the mouths of babes and sucklings I have fashioned praise to take down the adversary.
For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God . . . Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord. 1 Peter 1:23; 2:1-3.
The next stage is the pleasant, which is the stage of the “young men” who are “are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.” This is the “meat” stage, which is good soil and is characterized as bearing sixtyfold.
For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:13-14.
With My Word in your heart and mouth, understanding the devil’s tactics, and getting skill in stopping him before he even gets a toehold in your life, let alone a stronghold, puts you in victory, but you are not yet at the state of perfect peace on every side no matter what comes against you. You have not yet quite dug your foundations down deep enough into the rock where the honey is drawn out.
How sweet are Your Words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103.
The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11.
It is at this mature stage of the believer that the devil’s activity hardly makes you even pause as you tread and walk right over him. There is no fear in perfect love because that is the stage of your development where I have, with your cooperation and willingness to work with Me, made you perfect as I am perfect.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels in festal gathering, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24.
This stage, which is My perfect Will, is very fruitful and is described by My Son as producing a hundredfold. The hundredfold is beyond the ability for natural means to count or comprehend. Folding paper a hundredfold would take a distance from earth to the end of what you call the observable universe. The reason for this is exponential growth. Folding one piece of paper in half makes two squares, folding it twice makes 4 squares, folding it again makes 8 squares, again makes 16, again makes 32, and so on doubling every time, like ever increasing faith. With a regular paper you cannot fold it more than seven times and manage to fold it again. But what I mean by a hundredfold is simply the greatest possible return on any particular seed sown. It is functioning at perfection.
When you receive Jesus and confess Him as Lord, you receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness in your new birth from above. And you receive the Holy Spirit into your heart. If then you are willing and obey as we walk together through this world, where there will be tribulation for your adversary the devil is still holding Adam’s dominion in the world. But when you receive Jesus, My Word, as Lord, though you are in the world and it tribulations, you are not of the world. You are heavenly and citizens of My Kingdom, for which you reside on earth as ambassadors of reconciliation between mankind and Me. But your supply is from Me, not the world. I feed you in time of worldly famine and keep you secure from all earthly plagues. Read Psalm 91 and you will see what you have and enforce it.
This is exciting for Me and you, for My Will is for you to be perfect, lacking in nothing but prospering in all areas of your life. My Son came to give you abundant life, the life originally planned for you in the Garden of delightful abundance I planted for the first man and woman that was to be cultivated, replenished and renewed to fill the earth with beauty and delight. I made you perfect, but sin changed all that, and man, since Adam rejected My Word and was born again of perishable seed and became corruptible and corrupted, has been on a mission to try to reach to heaven again on his own but cannot. The devil is trying the same, which should not surprise you for he took the man captive to do his will. This was what the tower of Babel was about.
People long to be perfect but it has proved beyond what mere mortal, perishable flesh can attain, but this is not the end of it. What is impossible for man is very possible for Me. Nothing is too wonderful for Me. Nothing is too hard for Me. It is My pleasure to restore better than before.
They were even more astonished and said to Him, “Then who can be saved?” Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:26-27.
Do you want to be perfect? Does that thrill your soul? You can be if you are willing to let Me complete (bring to perfection) the good work I have begun in you when by faith you repented (changed your mind from flesh to spirit by hearing the good news of your salvation in Christ), received Jesus, and confessed Him as Lord.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6.
Are you ready to be made perfect so every day can be a blessing and everything you put your had to fruitful? So that in perfect peace you can lie down and sleep? So that life becomes like honey, so sweet to your taste and to your bones?
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24.
Let Me tell you how to begin:
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool. If you are willing and obey, you will eat the best of the land.” Isaiah 1:18-19.
It is a process, a journey of love, in which you must participate but if you follow step by step with Me I will complete the perfect work I have begun in you. And you will have joy, joy unspeakable filled with glory, as you enter the rest of the perfect even now. My perfect Will and your perfect life.
In the following Life Lessons, I will show you the way of perfection, which is also the way of perfect protection and perfect joy.
These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:11.
I love you and I will make you perfect if you will just walk with Me.
Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty (El Shaddai); walk before Me and be perfect. I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.” Genesis 17:1-2.
It is never too late to begin.
