Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’” Revelation 19:9.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Every time you attend church as the body of Christ it is a foretaste of the marriage feast to which you are invited in My Kingdom. When you walk in the doors and come into the sacred gathering, listen in your heart and you will hear My voice. And what am I saying to you? “I am so glad you came.” There is cause for rejoicing here.
My Son told you a parable about the marriage feast that a king gave for his son, but in that parable, even though all they had to do to make the king happy was to come, the invited guests refused to come. They were just too busy with their own affairs. Not even the abundance of the dinner prepared or the great honor of the ceremony was enough to attract them to the banquet hall.
Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. And he sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come. Again he sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’ But they paid no attention and went their way, one to his own farm, another to his business, and the rest seized his slaves and mistreated them and killed them. But the king was enraged, and he sent his armies and destroyed those murderers and set their city on fire. Then he said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast.’ Those slaves went out into the streets and gathered together all they found, both evil and good; and the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests. But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes, and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:1-14.
First, I want you to note that My Kingdom is a place of celebration and exaltation in honor for all those who come to join Me there. I liken it to a lavish wedding feast. This is about Covenant and Covenant is sealed with a sacrifice that becomes the meal.
But this parable is also a very serious wakeup call because it concerns who is going to have the joy of being at that wedding banquet. And the very first requirement is that you come. Many people are so busy running after the world that they cannot fit any time for Me into their hectic schedule nor do they see any value in the relationship. They keep putting it off, but you know not the day or the hour that I will come. Blessed is the one who is ready to enter the marriage supper of the Lamb.
If in faith you have been partaking of the body and blood of Jesus as He instituted on the night of that Last Supper when He gave His disciples (it is the meal of disciples) the bread and the wine and spoke the sacred words of consecration that for all time would transform the earthly to the heavenly and the ordinary to the extraordinary, then you have joined in the New and everlasting Covenant with My Son and through and in Him with Me in His Covenant with Me as your representative forever, you have eternal life. Jesus promised you that.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:53-58.
He has prepared the way for you to eat and drink at His table, the table of honor, at the marriage feast of the Lamb, who is My Son and your Savior. He told you to do this in remembrance of Him even now as a foretaste of Heaven and the banquet divine. And be careful you do not treat so great an invitation lightly so that you do not recognize of whom you are partaking. This is not mere bread and wine, it has changed at the sacred words of consecration to the heavenly substance by the power of the Holy Spirit that makes you a partaker of divinity in your humanity and it is very serious with results that are eternal. It is the meal that heals. If you need healing, communion is your answer. It is time you recognized who you are receiving and did not ignore so great a salvation. Yeshuah.
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep (die). 1 Corinthians 11:23-30.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life who releases you and purifies you of all sin. And no one who comes to Him will Jesus ever reject. And in seeing Jesus you see Me. Those who come are cleaned up but not rejected.
The parable of the king who gave a wedding feast for his son and invited guests who refused to come is a parable about My Kingdom and your entrance therein. This is about Covenant. It is a wedding feast and the Church is the bride. The Jews were invited first by Jesus to receive Him as Lord, for the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand to them in Him, but they rejected Him, and so I opened up the Kingdom to all who would receive Jesus as Lord and clothe themselves in Christ.
I say to you that many will come from east and west, and dine at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12.
ALL are invited to the feast, I so loved the world that I gave My only begotten Son so that whosoever shall believe in Him shall never perish but shall have eternal life, but to enter you must be properly dressed. Jesus is the Son and the bridegroom, but He is also the door into the Kingdom and the only way to Me. Why? If you are not clothed in Christ you are still in your sins and sin cannot come in to a place of pure love. I am love—I think in love, talk in love and walk in love, anything else is foreign to Me and cannot enter and remain in My presence.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again from above he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:3-6.
But you who are baptized into Christ, have clothed yourself in Christ. You are clothed for the marriage supper of the Lamb in the garments of Salvation (Yeshuah) and the robe of righteousness.
I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, so the Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahavah) will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations. Isaiah 61:10-11.
Jesus took all your sins and gave you My righteousness. In Christ, you are appropriately clothed to be at the marriage supper of the Lamb for He has made you holy, blameless and without reproach before Me. Jesus made peace through the blood of His cross and reconciled you to Me. In Christ you are in the white linen of the saints in light.
Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he (the angel) said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.” Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:6-10.
In the parable of the king’s wedding feast for his son, all those invited had to do was come to partake of the abundance of a well-prepared feast with everything ready and no work on their part and yet they did not come. How could they neglect so great a salvation? And all those who were later called when the invited refused to come to the feast was to come properly dressed. But primarily the king was pleased if those invited, whether early or later, just showed up at the table. When you make the decision to answer the invitation I extend to you in Jesus, believing in the good news (the gospel) of your salvation, there is great rejoicing in Heaven. And Jesus is rejoicing. And I am rejoicing. And the Spirit and the Bride are saying, “Come!”
“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, according to the faithful mercies shown to David.” Isaiah 55:1-3.
Come to Me, and let us reason together, though your sins are red as crimson, I will make them white as snow for Jesus makes you pure, holy and blameless before Me, you just have to receive Him as Lord and I do all the rest so that you can be properly dressed for the marriage feast of the Lamb.
I love you and I am so glad you came. Come share you Father’s joy. Everything I have is for you. FOREVER. And the celebration is forever as well.
