Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession (homologia (ὁμολογία)). Hebrews 3:1.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I call Jesus the apostle and High Priest of your confession. Consider with this the fact that I watch over My Word to perform it and it does not return to Me void but achieves the purpose for which I sent it.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Romans 4:14-16.

There is life, eternal life, in the incorruptible seed of My Word. Take My Words to heart, they are your very life. If you learn how to use My Words with skill, your life will become amazing, for My Words will become your works, just like Jesus.

“For it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong (arrange, put in order) your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.” Deuteronomy 32:47.

And if you receive My Words, which I send down to you from Heaven like seed to the sower and bread for the eater, and then cultivate them with My Word which is like the rains that shower the earth with blessings, you will have the harvest of what the seed contains, whether it be healing, provision, increase, peace, joy, love, and every form of miracle, sign, and wonder. They will crown you with love and compassion and fill your days with good things.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:17-18.

There is cause for rejoicing here, for when you find My Words you find life, healing, deliverance and victory. Proverbs 4:22; Psalm 107:20.

I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil. Psalm 119:162.

What does it mean that Jesus is the apostle and High Priest of your confession?

The word translated as confession or profession, in the language of Greek in which it was first written, is homologia (ὁμολογία), which is formed from the word “homoú,” meaning “the same, together” and “légō,” which means to “speak to a conclusion, lay to rest” – properly, a conclusion embraced by agreement and common confession. The cognate verb, homologéō, means “to say the same thing about.” In other words, you are speaking totally in agreement with Jesus, and you know He only says My Words for He is My Word, the aleph to the tav, so it means your words match up with Mine because you are in total agreement with Me, in other words, you are fully persuaded and you have adopted My ways as your own. When you agree with and say only words that line up with My Words the result will be you will do My works. Jesus explained that.

“The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.” John 14:10-11.

So it begins with the prayer of agreement with your great High Priest.

“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven, for where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matthew 18:19-20.

You notice that the prayer of agreement in My Word happens where you gather in the Name of Jesus. For that is your power of attorney to use His Name to do the works He did and greater by the same power by which He did them. He is the Principal and you are His agent, He is the head directing the Body, and that makes your life of agreement powerful indeed.

For your prayers to be effective they must be in agreement with your great High Priest who then offers your confession (words) to Me to perform them.

The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:16.

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.

But you will notice I not only call Jesus the High Priest of your confession but also the apostle of such.

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession (homologia (ὁμολογία)). Hebrews 3:1.

And I ask you to consider that carefully. The Word aspostle is the Greek word “apostolos (ἀπόστολος)” which comes from apostéllō, “to commission, send forth,” properly, someone sent (commissioned), focusing back on the authority (commissioning) of the sender (note the prefix, apo). At the time Jesus was upon the earth as one like you, the term “apostolos” was used to describe a messenger or envoy sent with authority to represent someone else. Here I do not describe you as the “apostle,” as Jesus called His twelve disciples, but I call Him that for you. So He is representing you before Me. It is as if you have commissioned Him to carry your words that agree with Mine to Me to perform them for you.

So you see you have a part in this too. If you do not watch your words and speak in agreement with My promises to you, Jesus, your apostle and High Priest, has nothing to present before Me for Me to perform.

Death and life are in the power (hand) of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21. YOUR tongue is the steering wheel of your life. I told Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Joshua 1:8. I told him not to let My Word depart from his mouth—to meditate on it day and night. Why? So that HE would make his way prosperous and that he would have success. The word that is translated “meditate” there is the Hebrew word “hagah,” which means to utter, declare, speak, moan, growl, muse, ponder. In other places it is used you will see it translated in various ways, as “declare,” Psalm 35:28, as “utter,” Psalm 37:30, as “devise” or “imagine,” Psalm 38:12, as “speak” or “make a sound,” Psalm 115:7, as “growl” (like a lion), Isaiah 31:4, as “moan” (like a dove), Isaiah 38:14, and as “ponder.” Proverbs 15:28. And each verb in Hebrew can also be formed into a noun by changing the vowel sounds. When the word “hagah,” which is a verb, is made into a noun, “hegeh,” this noun in modern Hebrew means a steering wheel, like on your vehicle, it also means a rudder, sound, and helm. Both the verb and the noun are written: הגה.

The Holy Spirit spoke through James this truth: “For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they will obey us, we direct their entire body as well. Look at the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot desires. So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.” James 3:1-4. Your tongue is steering the direction of your life. I liken it to a bridle and a rudder. And that now encompasses the steering wheel. So what do you do if you are headed in a wrong direction that will cause you to end up in a place you do not want to go when driving your car? You turn on your GPS (God’s Powerful Spirit) and turn the wheel in the right direction. And that is what My Word in your mouth does with your life.

But if you speak against My Word, you will end up in a place you were not meant to go and perhaps shipwreck your life. As Paul wrote to Timothy by My Spirit in him and on him, “This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.” 1 Timothy 1:18-20. So look further and find out what Hymenaeus and Alexander did and you will find, “But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, men who have gone astray from the truth.” 2 Timothy 2:16-18. And, “Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds. Be on guard against him yourself, for he vigorously opposed our words.” 2 Timothy 4:14-15.

Your words matter. Every word you think, ponder, and say is directing your life—it is fueling your emotions and heading you in a direction that can be good or bad or just idle, like the people standing idle in the market place all day waiting for someone to hire them. I tell you not to stand around idle but to go forward. Forgetting what lies behind, your past sins are forgiven and gone, press forward to know Me and to finish your work on earth that I have called you to do.

And I tell you to consider Him as the “Apostle and High Priest of your confession.” What does that mean to you? Everything about whether or not My promises will be performed in your life.

Let us consider the Scripture again for there is more here I want to share with you: “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.” Hebrews 3:1. First note that He is High Priest to those who are believers (brethren) and are thus partakers of a heavenly calling. What is that calling? You can find all answers in My Word. “God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship (konia, which also means partnership) with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”  1 Corinthians 1:9. I have called you to fellowship and partnership with My Son. You are doing the works he did and greater as His body and partners on earth. Working together with Him as his royal priesthood on earth.

Also, “just as you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children, so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.” 1 Thessalonians 2:12. So you have a heavenly calling to partner with Jesus in His work on earth to bring about My Kingdom and glory in your life and that of others. And Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest of your confession to bring this about in your life and through your life to others. And what does that mean in your life now?

In your life it means that He, as your great High Priest, receives from your lips the words you declare and He takes them to Me and I watch over My Word to perform it. It is the promise of answered prayer to the maximum. It is the spiritual sacrifice, the fruit of your lips, accepted on My altar, that Peter spoke of by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:4-5.

But this wondrous performance of your words through the intercession of your great High Priest only can happen when your words are in agreement with Mine. Jesus explained, “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33.

Let us explore this verse in the Greek language it was written in to understand what I am telling you. It starts, “everyone who confesses” and you already know the word that is translated there as “confesses,” yes, it is “homologeó”, i.e., to speak the same, to agree. It then states, “confesses Me before men,” but this leaves out a word that is there before “Him” in the original Greek, it is the Greek word pronounced “en,” which is a preposition that is translated as “with, in, on, at,” properly, “inside, within” and figuratively, “in the realm (sphere) of,” as in the condition (state) in which something operates from the inside (within). So you should see now, that “everyone who speaks in agreement with Me before men, I will also agree with him before My Father who is in Heaven (in the Holy of Holies as He enters with you as your great High Priest to obtain mercy and grace just when you need it by the Father performing His Words that you spoke with your mouth in agreement). “But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny before My Father who is in Heaven.” The word “denies” is the Greek word “arnéomai,” which means deny (refuse); hence, contradict, refuse to affirm or to confess (identify with); disown (repudiate). Now before the word “Me” that is, “whoever denies Me before men,” there is no word “en,” for you cannot speak against what He says with or in Him since your words contradict, deny, repudiate, and refuse to affirm His. And what does that lead to? He refuses to affirm your words, which contradict Mine (such as saying you are not forgiven, you are not healed, you are sick, you are broke, you lack what you need, blaming Me, you just want to die, or saying I do not do what you want and you do not believe in Me). There is another, the “god” of this world, who will take your confession of disobedience to My Word and perform it in your life. “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.” Ephesians 2:1-2.

Speak out in agreement with My Words over yourself and others. And Jesus will bring them to Me to perform them, for everyone (and that includes YOU) who speaks in agreement with Him before men, He will also agree with before Me as your great High Priest forever. But in dealing with others, be mindful that “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.” 2 Timothy 2:24-26. Instruct them about their words matter. They do not know. Most people just use words to express how they feel at the moment and this will only get you into deeper darkness if you are speaking darkness. They do not know to use words as tools to call in My good promises so I can perform them.

Now you know about the Apostle and High Priest of your confession, what should you do to take advantage of so great a salvation? WATCH YOUR WORDS with diligence. It is time for you to grow up and awaken to righteousness.

I love you. I am teaching you to profit and the way you should go. If you agree, I agree, if you deny what I said by speaking stout against My Words about you or others, I deny what you said. I only agree with My Words. No others. And you are blessed I do that. Think of that next time things don’t go your way (like Elijah) and you just keep saying you want to end it all and die (like Elijah). I will not perform that, but I have to permit what you permit in your life. So be careful about that. Remember the Israelites in the desert. They did it way too often and you know how it turned out.
