For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. Hebrews 7:26-27.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Jesus set aside His powers as God when He took on your humanity to save you from your sins and bring you back into the divine image in which you were first created.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Philippians 2:5-8.
He limited Himself, though He was true God, to operating just as you do in the flesh in total dependence on Me but with one difference, He, like the first Adam, was born from above by the imperishable, incorruptible seed of My Word and He had an eternal life in the flesh, as Adam did when I birthed him into the earth, that He could offer for the eternal life that Adam murdered in himself and for all his descendants by rejecting the imperishable seed of My Word in his spirit to plant instead the perishable seed of a lie as his master. Adam became the source of death to all people, for all are born from his seed.
But Jesus never sinned as Adam had done and retained His eternal life in Him which He then humbled Himself to receive all your sins as your sin offering and give His eternal life to you. He released you from the law of sin by His blood poured out for you by paying your judgment and satisfying your sentence. He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation, being designated by Me as a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Concerning him we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:11-14.
I want to give you a deeper understanding of what I have done for you in Christ Jesus. He took the burden off you. You were dead in your sins and headed for eternal death, helplessly trapped in the realm of darkness where Adam had put every one of you who are his descendants, for by corrupting the seed, death descended to everyone through him, but I rescued you out of the realm of darkness into the Kingdom of My beloved Son and made you a new creation in Christ with all sin gone and in Him you became righteous with My own righteousness.
How? I took the initiative to offer up your sacrifice for you and make My Son the Sacrifice, as I foretold and showed to Abraham by requesting he do that with his son, Isaac, though his son was not appropriate as he was born of Adam’s corruptible and perishable seed as well and his life would not have removed sin, but it was as a sign of the good things to come.
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son; it was he to whom it was said, “In Isaac your descendants shall be called.” He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type. Hebrews 11:17-19.
And I did not stop there. I needed a priest to offer the sacrifice as in the Tabernacle of Moses. So I made Jesus not only your sacrificial offering but I made Him your High Priest as well offering up that unblemished perfect sacrifice of Himself to Me for every person who has lived or will live, for I knew you all and planned you from the day I conceived you in My heart, that is, at the close of the sixth day of creation.
Jesus is the unblemished burnt offering, sin offering, peace offering, and guilt offering. And He stepped forward without your bringing Him to the East Gate of the Tabernacle and entered for you to give His eternal life in the flesh for the life you lost, an eternal life for an eternal life, and paid your judgment with His blood as He, as the great High Priest, also entered the Holy of Holies by the new and living way of His blood sprinkled it upon the Mercy Seat as a perpetual offering, an eternal redemption for everyone for all time.
Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20.
Jesus as your High Priest did not enter with the blood of a bull, goat, or sheep, but with His own blood as the spotless perfect Lamb known since the foundation of the world, of which all other sacrifices that had covered sin on credit, were a mere type and shadow of the reality to come which is in Christ alone.
But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:11-14.
Do you see? He took the initiative and offered HIMSELF for you without you even being aware He was doing it, though it had been foretold very clearly by My prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 53) and others as well, including David and Zechariah. But I was the first one to declare it in the Garden of Eden on that day when Adam rejected My Word for the lie of the devil. I declared to that ancient serpent who was once a perfect angel sent to guard Adam and Eve:
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall crush you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15.
And in Jesus that was fulfilled, He was born free from the seed of Adam, taking flesh in the womb of the virgin Mary a man like you in all things but sin. In Him is eternal life.
He came not to be served but to serve to give His life as a ransom for all. 1 Timothy 2:6.
I did it all for you in Christ, you did not need to lift a finger, please be mindful of so great a salvation.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Hebrews 5:6-11.
It cost My Son everything but for you it has pleased Me to give Him to you as a free gift. For the wages of sin is death, but My free gift to you is eternal life in Christ Jesus your Lord. I promised you eternal life before the world began and I kept that promise to you in Christ Jesus.
But by His (the Father’s) doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31.
You all carried a heavy burden of sin and death from the futile way of life of your forefathers, but there was the deep desire of My heart that all would be saved and come to know the truth that joins you with Me and sets you free to be the wonderful you I made you to be. And it delighted My Son, whose delight is to be among the children of men and also to please Me, to come to save you from your sins and undo the work of the devil. He came to show you how to live free and to enjoy a life of good days, days of heaven upon the earth. He came to empower you with Holy Spirit power to move the world.
I love you. Do you even begin to know what that means? I Myself offered the sacrifice and gave you your great High Priest who understands everything about being human. You did not have to do anything for salvation to come. But there is one thing you do have to do that I cannot do for you. And that is to receive My gift by faith in so great a Salvation (Yeshuah). A gift is not complete until accepted by the donee. It is simple as believing to receive.
Then I said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?” And I answered the second time and said to him, “What are the two olive branches which are beside the two golden pipes, which empty the golden oil from themselves?” So he answered me, saying, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.” Zechariah 4:11-14.
Remember two anointed Priests are praying for you and with you and pouring down the anointing on you.
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” Zechariah 4:6-7.
